I've purchased several high quality products from Tegan. Everything about the experience was excellent. Great service and delivery.
Very good selection and by far the best hair accessories I've purchased. As a hairdresser I'm picky and these accessories are brilliant, they don't break like flimsy alternatives and myself and daughter love the choice and designs.

Over the years I have been a loyal customer to Tegen. Firstly in their shop in the Lanes in Brighton, and nowadays online. The quality has been good in the main and I was happy. At Christmas a friend kindly gave me a pair of snap clips from their handmade range - I am not even sure I had used these until a week ago. One of the clips was faulty. When I snapped the clip shut - the top cracked in a neat line across the top. Wrote a polite email asking how I should proceed. The seller assumed that this was one of a clip I had bought sometime earlier for my Granddaughter - so no replacement. When advised this was incorrect, she now wanted proof of when it was purchased by the person who gave the gift but kindly offered me a 10% discount if I wanted to buy another pair of these snapsclips. How terribly kind. It is her faulty clip that failed and I would have expected her to ask me to return the pair for replacement. Don't expect this buyer back anytime soon!

In line with our company guidelines to proceed, we simply need a photo of the faulty item to save you the trouble of having to return it in the post and information regarding the original order. Excellent products & service
I have ordered a few hair accessories from Tegen on a couple of occasions. The accessories are exquisite. The ordering process is easy. My items have been posted and delivered securely and promptly. The communication is excellent. I’m very happy with this retailer and highly recommend them.

Quality very disappointing
I ordered 2 chignon pins. The quality is disappointing; the pins are quite thin and the edges are not smooth so they snag in my hair. Given the blurb on the website, I was expecting much better quality. They do the job, but aren’t particularly nice or good. By chance I found some pins in a local shop which are much nicer quality. I fell for the online hype, I’ll be more careful in future!

Poorly made products that break and bad customer service
Updated review: I bought several hair clips from them in September 2023, including a clip costing over £30 from the premium line that they specifically described as made from strong materials. It snapped in two and became totally unusable after just over a year of occasional use. This was barely outside their one year "guarantee" period for the product. I duly contacted customer services with a picture of the broken product and asked them to replace or refund it. They have refused any customer support. Seriously? A hairclip costing 1/4 of this price from Accessorise lasts longer. Do not buy!

While we sell thousands of clips that typically last for many years without any problems it seems this particular one has not met expectations. Our French Handmade collection is covered by a 1 year guarantee, as this order falls outside the guarantee period by 4 months, we regret that we are unable to offer a replacement at this time.
I sincerely apologise once again for any inconvenience this has caused you and hope you can appreciate that as an independent business, it is essential for us to follow our guarantee policy to ensure fairness for all of our customers.

Good product poor service
i bought a hair clip which was of very good quality. the service however is very annoying. Just for 1 small order i got at least 8 emails before i managed to unsubscribe from all this DAILY spam.
The worst was that they sent this petty hair clip with a signature delivery! i definitely did not ask for it. I have a small baby and have a note on the door to leave deliveries at the door. Not this time, delivery person kept banging because someone at Tegen consider themselves too important so that they can disrupt people's routine with SIGNATURE deliveries as though they were selling diamond jewellery.
A very unpleasant seller. I just want my package with as little communication and contact as possible!

I’m really pleased to hear you are happy with the quality of our hair clips and I’m extremely sorry to hear about the inconvenience of the delivery of your order. Being a Mum of a 1 year old, I too understand how frustrating it can be to be disrupted during the day, especially when your baby is trying to sleep.
We dispatch most of our orders via Royal Mail which do not require a signature but for international orders, once the parcel leaves the UK, the parcel is handed to another courier. It is then at the discretion of the courier as to whether they require a signature and unfortunately this is out of our control.
As the parcel passes through the system this triggers notification emails about your order so you can track the progress of your parcel. I’m very sorry if this was too much correspondence on this occasion and I will be sure to pass your feedback onto our marketing team.

As I now have lockdown locks
As I now have lockdown locks, I ordered a hair accessory to contain the mess - unfortunately it was not a good choice on my part (through ignorance). The Company could not have been more helpful. My purchase was refunded quickly and they gave me very good advice on other more appropriate products.
