Horrible...

Horrible.... ordered 2 items and only one arrived. The more expensive item was stuck in limbo as Target blamed their courier and the courier says they did not receive the pick up order. Went on for 1 month and spoke to 3 useless consultants who did nothing but repeat the same excuse. FINALLY got a manager involved who ask me to wait another week and by the end of the week, I wanted to lodge a complaint with the authority if they did not refund and on the same day...refund was processed.
Had the nerve to email me for feedback on my experience and when I submitted my negative experience, they responded it has been moderated n they won't publish it....well done. Useless

Disgustingly bad customer service over phone (Merrylands Store)

The items I bought online for click and collect said they were available in the store but they ended up being cancelled due to insufficient stock levels. I then saw they had stock again, so I tried calling the store to see if they actually physically had it in the store and after 40mins on the phone and being ended call twice, they finally said they don't have it in stock. I then tried to ask a question about my refund to a manager and she pretended like she couldn't hear me on the phone, shouting hello every two seconds (even though I was just speaking to someone else before and it was fine). I remained calm and polite during this whole experience, never once abused or raise my voice, yet this is the kind of treatment I recieved. I work in customer service and this is the worst I've ever seen, ways I would never even think to treat my customers.

Unimpressed

Very disappointed with Target’s almost automated check out ! I was buying two pairs of men’s pyjamas, they were both marked at $25.00 but the lady behind the screen asked me for $55.00. I pointed out to her that when I went to school the total of 25 and 25 would have been 50 but she told me my total was $55.00 because the machine said so ! Apparently Target had raised the price of these items by $5.00 each (on the machine) but had not altered the price on one of the items ! As I was not feeling well I was less than impressed.

Don't bother shopping here

Don't bother shopping here. They'll show items in stock, take your money and minutes later cancel your order with a generic email with a refund taking weeks. Not just once either, continuously. Infuriating, terrible shopping experience and terrible company to do business with.

Avoid online

I was recently asked by Target to review my purchase with them so I thought I would as the experience had upset me. They chose to not publish my review because it didn't meet their guidelines. So, I'm putting it here for others to see.

No where on the page for any Pokemon Cards does it say you can only purchase so many. I recently had my order slashed to under half which was frustrating. I thought the cards might of been out of stock which is understandable but I've had these cards delivered from various Target stores all around Australia so there does seem to be stock around. So, I tried with another Pokemon set and I saw a banner flash above my cart. In otherwords Target impose LIMITS on the cards but keep this fact hidden unless you watch your cart very carefully. I don't mind limits, I understand them but make it obvious like other sites do.

Anyway, I'm guessing Target rejected this review because I hit a nerve. I still can't see WHY it's wrong to make the limits obvious like other sites do? This would be a terrible shock if you were purchasing a various amount and you wanted to give them to your children as a surprise to find you're getting a refund as it's very easy to miss the message above your cart. You need to be in the actual cart to see it. However, if you put over the limit they'll still TAKE your money! Why? The cart should be smart enough to change the limit since there appears to be one. Again many online stores do something like " to check out please change to the require amount of xx" and you do and everything is dandy.

APPALLING CUTOMER SERVICE
I agree with all the other comments about poor customer service and inability to get a refund ( which I have now given up on getting ).

I tried to collect an item ordered online at their Capalaba, Qld store only to be told that because I had not picked it up within their allocated time of 14 days ( I had been ill ) that the item was no longer available and they WOULD NOT GIVE ME A REFUND. There was no mention of a 14 day window to pick up the item on the original order.

I asked to speak to the store manager a Melissa Ballard who told me that I would have to ring their 1300 customer service number for a refund. When I told her that I was doubtful that would be any easy process she agreed and laughed. She seemed to think it was FUNNY TO WASTE CUSTOMERS TIME !!

I tried to get through to someone on their customer service phone number only to be constantly eventually cut off as many others on here have complained of .
Fortunately it was only a $15 item and as I have already wasted 20 minutes on trying to get through to someone on their customer service phone number I decided to just give up rather than waste any more time.

However, I will not waste any more time or money at Target. As a family we will also in future be boycotting all WESFARMERS companies including Coles and informing friends and family of our and others experience at the appalling Target. When you compare Target to Amazon you can see why Target stores are closing down.

Absolutely useless customer service on…

Absolutely useless customer service on 1300 number. They don't have ability to contact their own stores! I can't get through personally as the phone system was broken and won't allow getting past "select option" recording, which just replays on a constant loop. No action at all by service person. This is a clear example of why companies should NOT use overseas call centers.
Won't even bother describing all the details of original problem. Item having wrong size tag attached. Wanted to call store to check stock levels. It gets worse, but what's the point.
So many bad reviews for Target . Clearly they don't care about reviews or customers.
No wonder it looks like their closing for good. Bad service will always equal no business!

Absolutely disgusted with the service…

Absolutely disgusted with the service I’ve received from Target Australia and Target Online Customer Support.

Clearly states online that the items I’m ordering are available to pick up today. (It also shows when you need to wait a certain time frame). Get an email that a 1/3rd of my order (30-45mins later) is not available and I have to wait a week for it.

I need it in 2 days (it’s a gift) so I called the online store to ask if I can possibly just get a different size in the same item.

Nope, not their problem. They can’t do that. Just tell you to go in store and pay for it there again, and wait upto a week for a refund. Not only that. I have to drive in their twice if I want to wait for it to come?

They said they would let me know if they can approve my refund for the items they don’t have. Still haven’t heard anything.

Horrible service, horrible customer care department, useless webpage.

I’ll go to Targets competitors only from now on, at least they care about their customers.

Thanks for wasting my time and effort choosing things.

Worst customer service/help

Worst company in Australia. I ordered an item $48 single kids bed rail and when I purchased the item, the postage costs didn't show up until after I bought the item. The 3.3kg item coming from Rocklea to my place is about 15km cost $109. I couldn't cancel my order and be refunded as they didn't have any customer service working and by the time I rang up the next day the horrible woman refused to help and do her job in the cancellation/refund department. She was so unhelpful saying the item was heavy awkward and needed two people for the delivery and that's why it cost $109 and wouldn't show up the cost as it was an item that needed reassessing. When it was delivered by ONE person that had absolutely zero problems with the drop off. Pure scammers. NEVER buy items from Target online as they will scam you.

Present to my daughter turned into to a nightmare with Target Australia

All of you that you want to make your order to Target Australia and you are overseas you should think it twice. I ordered my daughter's present that she is living there for her birthday as well as Xmas present and this is took place at the end of Septemberr 2021 and the present never arrived to her. The item was in offer and in stock available in a price of 450 Aud approximate. After two weeks I received an email that the item wasn't available any more and they tried to refund me without success because my bank and due to a different exchange rate that Target Australia tried to reimburse that date was higher than the date I bought the present therefore wasn't Able for my Bank to accept different amount than the amount that I paid. I came in contact with my Bank and they told me that they will open the system for 48 hours so Target Australia to reimburse me with the daily exchange rate of reimbursement date. I informed Target Australia that they have 48 hours to do this refund payment back to my bank. After 48 Hours no refund made. I came many times in contact with them, I followed all their instructions that they aske me, as well I provided separated bank account in order to bypass refund payment back to my purchase and nothing happened. Many online chats with their support center, same story same results. The answer was that our accounting department will contact you back. At meantime and after 14th of October the Item I bought was on sale for 560 Aud. In one of our contacts with customer service I suggested to them to pay the difference and send the present to my daughter that she is waiting for it. Once again nothing happened. I contacted the government's consumer affairs Victoria and sent a complaint form. Consumer affairs Victoria and one escalation officer told me that will contact Target Australia. In his return correspondence to me told me below.

This is my story that a birthday and Xmas present of my daughter that I wasn't able to travel to Australia and delivery to her due to COVID-19 pandemic turned to a nightmare with Target Australia.
No any respect for the clients and customers, as well consumers affairs Australia didn't help at all.
Only one God knows what Target Australia doing with clients Money all these 110 almost days. I can imagine.
I am very sorry for this company because I was collecting these money the last four months and save them in order to buy my daughter's present.
Don't support these kind of companies.

Never Again

I emailed the Target Customer Support Department 3 times with a genuine refund enquiry and never got any satisfaction,with my 2nd and 3rd requests i never even got the decency of a response or answer.
Two months later i am no further advanced and have given up.
Based on the only reply i got the people at the Target Customer Support Department could not understand or grasp my complaint which i questioned and i now believe Target use an out of Australia call centre.
I have vowed to never enter or shop at a Target store again.
So disappointing,so concerning.

Click and collect ruined Christmas

Click and collect ruined Christmas! In early November I ordered a Lego set that I knew would sell out in early November, left it boxed until 24th when it came time wrap - wrong item sent, local store apologetic but apparently a common occurrence. Child missed out on the only thing on his wishlist. Avoid click and collect!

Don’t bother ordering online!

My whole order from target was a complete shambles. Would of been 7 packages in total had I received everything. The last 2 things were refunded after waiting 3 weeks for them to be delivered in bits. Contacted them multiple times and was very unsatisfied with responses. Yes it was Christmas. But I ordered at the beginning of November. The 20 odd other online orders I made from other places all came within days of purchase. Will never do online ordering again.

When I posted this exact review on their website they took it down because it didn’t meet their guidelines. I’ve gotten an email from them stating this

Back in early November 2021 I purchased…

Back in early November 2021 I purchased a Ninento Switch game, Mario kart Deluxe 8 as a Christmas gift for my grandsons. I did a click and collect from the Brimbank store. So I put in a cupboard along with other Christmas gifts to be wrapped.
Around 5pm Christmas Eve I was wrapping presents and my husband decided to open the case of the Mario Kart Deluxe 8 game only to find that there was no game inside. I called Target's customer service line and spoke with Charan. After explaining what had happened, Charan apologised and said that she would contact the store to look into the matter. Within five minutes Charan called back and told me to take my invoice and the empty case to the Brimbank store and ask for the store manager and that they would replace it with a new game. Luckily the store was open till 7pm and we did get a new game. So happy that I didn't wrap an empty case as a Christmas gift for my grandsons. I truly would like to say just how helpful and efficient Charan was and really wanted to write a positive review about my experience that I am doing this at 6.30am on Christmas morning.

Never never use click and collect

Never never use click and collect, I purchased an item online, the website stipulated that the item was in store and I could pay and collect. I purchased the item, and have been on the phone with the target store who advised me that I had to contact customer service. Called customer service they told me I am better off going into the store and purchasing and cancelling the online order after I receive the email. So this means I have paid for the item twice.
