Stratstone - Mercedes-Benz of Hamilton Recensioni 

Booked my car in and received a “Curtesy Car” which I had for a day and a half. Work carried out with a minor issue dealt with promptly with minimum inconvenience. Stratstone Hamilton could not have been fairer with me.

I bought a car from this garage in June, and right from the start there were problems. When I received the vehicle, there was a nail in one of the tyres -thankfully, the garage arranged for a nearby workshop to carry out a puncture repair. However, that was just the beginning.

The car’s bodywork was in awful condition, with deep scratches and rust all over the vehicle. Shockingly, some of the marks had been covered with Tip-Ex to disguise the damage. The garage told me this “fallout” issue had been fixed, yet six months later, the rust is still very much visible.

Within a week or two of owning the car, it broke down completely. When the recovery company arrived, they were surprised it had even passed through any workshop - one tyre had a bulge, and another was in terrible condition.
I’ve since had a call from Mercedes-Benz in Hamilton, advising me that my tyres are dangerously unsafe and need urgent replacement before winter. This is despite the garage having put the car through an MOT just before I collected it, and insisting that the tyres were fine when I raised my concerns.

Overall, I’m shocked and deeply disappointed with the quality of the car, the misleading presentation, and the lack of proper safety checks. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this garage to be extremely cautious.

Every member of staff I encountered at Stratstone Hamilton were helpful, polite and friendly. I was informed when the service was complete and car ready to be collected. My car had been washed and the interior cleaned.
First class customer service.

Took my car here for a service last month and was told I urgently needed x2 new tyres. They told me they could fit exactly the same tyres as on the car - which were still the factory fitted tyres. Fine. Got the car home and discovered they’d put run-flats on. This is not what was on the car, and are not recommended for my model. The service manager was dismissive, insisting they’d fitted the recommended tyres. He also told me it was fine to mix run-flats with standard tyres, but when I persisted he agreed to look into it. When he called me the next day (after I’d chased them up) he acknowledged the wrong tyres had been fitted and tried to blame it on a technician. He said they had recommended and charged me for the correct tyres, but the wrong set had been picked up by the fitter. In effect, I’d got the more expensive run-flats for the cost of the standard tyre - lucky me. Except, this was a blatant lie. The invoice showed I’d been charged for run-flats and the parts manager later confirmed they didn’t hold my tyres in stock, they need to be ordered. The correct tyres are now on the car, but I expect better from a Mercedes Benz main dealer - especially in terms of honesty and expertise. Will not be returning.

I had to go there 3 times to fix the issue with my 18 Months old EQC which kept in garage to fix the issue with Screen wash tube and was charged £90 to clean it and then another 3 trips to change the Screen Wash Jets to change it under warranty and they charged Mercedes Ben £150 to change the Jet as they were trying to blame me for putting something inside the tank which caused this but o just topped it up with Water

Taylor was brilliant. Very helpful with lots of info. Would recommend.
