Terrible
Terrible , shocking company do not rent ski’s from here you’d be aswell tieing two newspapers to bottom of your feet the quality of ski is ridiculous and then they try charge you extra for the damage that was already there when they give them you honestly go benidorm instead

I rented skis and boots with these guys last week. Quality was pretty good and the price was better than other shops in Val
No value placed on customer service. Money lost
I hired via skiset online a set of skis, poles and boots for myself and two daughters for 6 days. On arrival in Ski Set, La Clusaz the staff were friendly enough and sorted all the hire out. Midway through the hire (day 3) I took a bad tumble and ripped my left calf muscle ending up on crutches. I returned my skis, poles and boots same day (3 days remaining) so as to get a refund of non use for last 3 days of trip which is normally standard in these circumstances. I asked the shop for documentation / receipt but they said I would need to sort out via Ski set online. I emailed the website and Dan came back and asked for Skiset La Clusaz to fill out a large form which I duly emailed to them (again from a customer service point of view concerning as should have been sorted out internally). The ski shop never completed the form. Dan has made it clear that the expectation is I get the ski shop to do it not Skiset on line. This has not been resolved. At time of writing no refund received. I now see numerous reviews on trip advisor with this exact problem. I would avoid - book locally not through skiset online. Terrible customer service.
Avoid Skiset @ Les Arc 2000
I recently had the misfortune of utilising the rental services at Skiset in Les Arc 2000 and, to put it bluntly, it was a complete shambles. Upon arrival, my booking seemed to have disappeared into thin air, and it took being bounced around three different staff members before it was finally unearthed. This lack of organisation and efficiency was exasperating and set a dire tone for the rest of my encounter.
The quality of the kit provided was also below par. Despite forking out for premium skis, I was given the same set that another customer had rented as 'basic'. This not only felt like daylight robbery but also made me question the integrity of the shop's pricing structure and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
The final straw came on my last day. I politely enquired if I could leave my shoes at the shop to avoid the palaver of skiing back to my hotel and then having to trudge back for 10 minutes toting skis. Incredibly, I was told no by Zack, who was outright rude. However, upon my return at noon, I noted an area where shoes were being stored, with several vacant slots that I was denied use of.
In conclusion, my experience with Skiset in Les Arc 2000 was anything but satisfactory. The service was disorganised, the kit was not as advertised, and Zack's intransigence and lack of understanding left a bitter taste. I would advise anyone who values their time, money, and overall skiing experience to give this service a wide berth.
Avoid if you can
Avoid this company, the staff are rude, aggressive and impatient. The Ski equipment was dreadful, boots were ancient and broken and the skis were in dreadful condition and unwaxed. Customer service non existent and can’t be bothered to help or assist. Never again!
This is the second year we are using…
This is the second year we are using skiset and we had confirmation that different locations still provide great service and unbeatable value for money. We recommend booking at least one month in advance to get the best deals. Both times the bookings were fully refundable. Highly recommended!!
Refusal to refund non-supply.
Skiset shop unable to supply correctly fitting boots to fit 2 of our 3 people. After numerous swaps over 2 days we gave up and went to a different shop 100m away that had the same boots used the previous week in Les Arcs. Shop staff told us that a refund would have to be made by the office online. REFUND CONTINUALLY REFUSED BY SKISET.COM , saying we "cancelled" the hire, among other excuses. I don't fault the shop but the the company, and phantom staff member hiding on-line is a joke. AVOID.
Matched experience level to the equipment perfectly
Spoke fluent English, and was able to match my experience level to the equipment perfectly. No issue with settings or board all week. Recommended supplier as my normal rental company Intersport does not have a local shop. Ski hire Marcellin Rent, Via Louset 2, 10058 Sestrière.
Skiset in Flaine tried to over charge…
Skiset in Flaine tried to over charge twice. Once when we arrived apparently I had not paid online for correct package for a child, and then at the end for items I had already paid for.
I emailed in to let the company know, and no response. I was lucky as I argued the extra, if I had paid I doubt the head office would refund considering no email to my complaint.
Plenty of hire shops- literally one next door to this company. Advise go else where.
Skiset refuse to help with problems
Skiset do not offer discount. They put you in touch with rental shops, but if there are problems the shop refer you to skiset. Skiset then request all kinds of paperwork fromthe rental store which of course you will not have. they will not respond to you or contact the store themselves. Do not use, go direct at resort, they will not save you any money but add to complications.
TERRIBLE ONLINE EXPERIENCE
I would urge anybody who is thinking about booking ski gear in advance online with Skiset not to do so. Aside from having some ski shops in resorts, they are an online portal which connects you to local ski shops. One of their main offers is that they pretend to give you a discount. Firstly they do not offer a discount - you can get the same price in store if you ask. They also take a significant cut from the independent stores and withhold payment from them for quite a while. Secondly by booking with them you take a far greater risk than booking in resort as you lose your standard consumer rights (ability to change / cancel booking) unless you can prove serious injury via an expensive medical certificate. In short, they impose onerous conditions on the consumer which independent ski stores, who allow you to pay at the end of the week, never do. So if you only choose or are able to ski for two days out of six, you will lose the money for the other four days. Thirdly there is often no relation between what you order and pay for online and what you get in the independent store. Fourth, the customer support is shocking. It is staffed out of Paris where the local idea of customer service is telling the customer to go take a hike (merci bien Thibault), so if you have a problem, it won't get resolved. Please, please, just contact the local ski shop in advance via email if you are going skiing, check the prices, book direct and don't let shark online companies like Skiset ruin the holiday experience for you.
Bad ski hire experience from Cisko Ski / SkiSet in Gressoney, Italy
We had a great holiday in Gressoney, northern Italy. However, the ski hire from Skiset (which used the Cisco Ski Hire ship in Weissmatten) was abysmal. Our group has hired skis for years, and this is our first bad experience. The skis were all pretty shabby, and on one pair the bindings malfunctioned as soon as the skier tried to put them on. He wasted a whole morning going back to the shop. On day three another pair malfunctioned, and again the skier wasted several hours going back to the shop. The Weissmatten branch was closed for much of the time, so we had to phone the main shop further up the valley and get someone to come down. I would never use Cisco Ski or SkiSet in Gressoney again. I put a complaint on the Skiset website and have received no response.
Not as described and poor service.
Not as described and then awful customer service.
Booked my ski hire in advance and was very careful to fill out all the asked for details in terms height weight etc in advance. I’m a taller skier and wanted to make sure they had what I needed in the shop on arrival. I also paid for the top level of ski hire for me and my girlfriend.
When I got the shop in saas fee, Switzerland it was evident they had subcontracted the hire to another company. After being promised that our skis would be waiting for us after filling out our details we walked in and it was evident this second company (CS) had absolutely no idea about our order until we arrived in through the door. The subcontractor hadn’t been told about the order at all. Consequently they had no skis in my height and had done absolutely nothing to prepare boots or skis in advanced, as promised. Que a long wait whilst they tried to source skis for me from another shop last minute. Also it was evident that the equipment provided bore absolutely no resemblance to the packaged offered and was literally just all they could find in the shop that fitted making me furious I’d bother to pay for the ‘platinum’ package. All in all a super unsatisfactory experience. People were able to walk into this shop with absolutely no prior booking and where in and out faster than us.
When I tried to raise all this with ski set they haven’t replied to my emails and continue ignore me after weeks of chasing only compounding the issue.
Will not be using them again. Terrible company.

I have now been waiting for almost a month to get a refund for a ski rental that was cancelled due to an accident. When I write they don't answer, when I call, they ask me to call back later... :-(
Appalling equipment and customer service
This relates to the shop in Val Claret, Tignes called Deep Snow.
I had been pre-warned fromTrustpilot to beware hiring skis from SkiSet.
But we were going to Tignes and we were hiring the skis through TUI as part of our package.
Looking on TripAdvisor for the specific SkiSet shop, “Deep snow”, in Val Claret, there were some customers that were happy with the service they received, so we pre-booked our skis and boots with TUI, specifying the Intermediate skis and the best boots.
From the moment we walked in the door, we could tell that the staff just wanted to service us as quickly as possible, which was so uncomfortable.
On top of this, you would not believe the state of the boots we were given. They were wet inside, and must have been two or three years old and scratched to pieces and with badly worn soles.
I asked for some a bit larger and out came yet another ready for the scrap heap!
This was the start of March, so not at the start of the season, but also not the end.
After much complaining, I was reluctantly given a brand new pair, with much huffing and puffing.
Incidentally, I am used to sharp skis in Austria for hard packed snow – these were blunt.
Please TUI, don’t use these people, it just reflects badly on a professional organisation.
So the moral is, don’t be tempted by special offers if this is the service you get – go elsewhere for your equipment.
The end of the story is that the resort was closed the next day for the virus, so we never got to ski at all!
Avoid ...
I paid for an upgrade online that wasn't available in the shop. I queried it at the time, but was told I was wrong. A simple internet search when back in the UK showed that I had been right all along and I asked for a partial refund. The response from their customer services was as follows:
"STAY AT HOME NEXT TIME IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY."
I won't be using them again.
Dubbel betaald
Door een ‘foutmelding’ op het pin apparaat twee keer het verzekeringsgeld betaald, ze weigerden het geld terug te geven omdat ik zogenaamd voor iemand anders betaalt zou hebben. Onvriendelijk en onbehulpzaam
SkiSet Seefeld In Tyrol- Perfect Service!
SkiSet Seefeld In Tyrol, Austria.
They made us feel very welcome by being very friendly and chatty, with a sense of humour!
They were very attentive as we were novice cross country skiers and we even had a Schnapps when we returned our skis as it’s Christmas Day!!
Thank you very much for making our Christmas enjoyable!
