Very disappointing service

After waiting another two weeks without a sofa as delivery was not as informed I then took a full day off work as delivery was in the daytime and it arrived at 7pm!! So,lost a full days pay (The delivery men was really good but I could tell they was very overstretched) after unpacking the suite we find that the legs are a different colour to the chair and footstool and the recliner chair has no power pack so I am unable to use this, trying to get through is a nightmare as no option to press for customer care so on hold for over half an hour, eventually get through and I have to send an email with all the same information on that I had just told the aftercare team…. I despair and feel very sceptical on this being resolved quickly. (But I hope I’m wrong) it wasn’t the experience I wanted although the Grimsby store staff was fab!

I am very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration regarding the delivery and issues identified with your furniture upon arrival.

While we appreciate the wait felt longer than expected, I can confirm your order was delivered within the estimated timeframe outlined within our terms and conditions in your order confirmation.

I do apologise that the delivery itself arrived later in the day than anticipated, particularly after you had taken time off work.

I am pleased to hear the delivery team were helpful, although I am sorry to hear that there were issues with the furniture, including the mismatched legs and missing power pack for the recliner chair.

We appreciate how frustrating it must have been experiencing delays contacting our aftercare team and then needing to provide the same information again via email.

The request for photographs and written confirmation helps ensure the correct parts and resolution can be arranged as efficiently as possible, however we understand this added to your disappointment with the overall experience.

I do hope our aftercare team are able to resolve these issues for you promptly and improve your overall experience moving forward.

Great service, but felt like we we're being followed

Staff friendly and helpful on arrival, asked if we had been to the shop since the takeover and explained what sofas could be fitted with which fabrics. Then went on our way about the store. Sofas were all lovely and plenty of room to get an idea of how it would fit inside our own home.

Only issue was that every 5 minutes, or every time we moved to look at the next sofa, a member of staff would approach and insert themselves into the conversation or ask a question. I had expressed multiple times that I was only interested in looking at that moment, and when we were ready to purchase we would come and find them. Despite this, they continued to follow us through the store on both floors.

When we returned the next day to finalise the purchase, we were looked after by a different member of staff. Same shadowing as the first day.

However, the purchase process was quick and easy. Took no more than 10 minutes to enter and double check the entire purchase and be sent confirmation emails.

Would've been nice to be offered a hot drink and one of the tote bags during our purchase just to make the experience a little more enjoyable, but overall not bad.

Hoping the quality continues when our furniture arrives.
