Samsung care is the WORST

After 6 weeks of constant back and forth, Samsung finally fixed our TV, but the experience was terrible from start to finish. Customer service was frustrating and unhelpful, communication was poor, and the technician who came to our home was unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. No repair should take this long or be this stressful. Very disappointed with the way Samsung handles customers after the sale.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever, just for some background information I didn't want to cancel my warranty policy I simply wanted to change my card on file since I closed the account that was set up with. On two separate occasions I tried calling in good faith to update my payment method and was given the runaround with the representatives and was not able to change my payment method on file I stayed on the phone for 4 hours in total. After being frustrated with the representative I told the representative I wanted to cancel and he was able to cancel for me in less than 2 minutes. Samsung if you read these reviews please give your representatives more access to update payment methods because I had no problem continuing to pay monthly for a warranty policy that I would probably never use. But having to talk to a rep to simply change my card on file shouldn't be rocket science.......

Negative stars

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Samsung Care+. My Samsung Z Flip replacement process has been a nightmare from start to finish.
My phone broke and I rely on it for work, so being without it had serious consequences. After filing a claim, I was told my replacement device was on backorder, which left me without a working phone for 9 days. Because my job depends on my phone, I ended up missing 7 days of work waiting for a replacement.
When the phone finally arrived, it wasn’t even the correct device. Instead of the color I originally purchased, Samsung sent a different color refurbished phone without any warning or explanation.
After already waiting over a week and dealing with multiple unhelpful support interactions, receiving the wrong device felt like the final slap in the face. When you pay for device protection and buy a premium phone, you expect reliable support and a replacement that actually matches what you purchased.
The entire process was slow, frustrating, and poorly handled. Customers shouldn’t have to lose income and wait over a week just to receive the wrong replacement device.
I expected much better from Samsung, they clearly dont care about their customers.

If you have a s25 ultra or s26ultra don't even think about the insurance with Samsung care+
I have activate knox guard was showing is activate then they put the phone for enroll 3 weeks by theway my phone got stolen.
They rejected the claim says know guard need to be activ.
IF YOU DO ENROLLMENT MANUALLY THATS OVERRIDE THE SCHEDULE DATE AND KNOX GUARD ACTIV IMMEDIATELY.
Second email said i dont even made police report. WHAT?U cant start the claim without reference number from Police!!!!!
They try everything to not to accept what we paying for!!!BIG SHAME FOR SAMSUNG!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a $4000 Samsung Bespoke fridge 2 years ago and added Samsung Care plus. Right before the 2 years It stopped cooling. Fast forward 30 days 30+ calls to care plus, and Assurant, over 10 hours on the phone with them, and 2 service visits, my fridge is still not working. I have asked about getting it replaced or a refund to buy another one, and all I get is we’re sorry but we can’t do anything until we exhaust all options. Mean while I lost hundreds of dollars of groceries going bad, I fit what I could in two coolers I had to buy, and lost two medications that needed to be refrigerated. I would never get or recommend care plus to anyone. And this is coming from someone who use to sell Samsung products.

Servicio tecnico sin control de calidad

Me compre el 18/11/2023 un samsung galaxy S23. El día 06/03/2026 tramito la garantía por un problema con el puerto de carga. El día 13/03/2026 recibo el móvil supuestamente reparado. El móvil ya carga perfectamente, pero llega con la parte trasera despegada en un 50% aproximadamente. No tienen ningún tipo de control de calidad

Samsung is not true to their word.

The care plus center in Burnaby doesn't even document properly. I thought they put in a service request. The disconnect cost me my care plan coverage on damage that occurred when it was active. I feel tricked out of my care plan. I did not agree to this kind of service. They promised best warranty but will not honor it.

I got this strictly for theft and loss on a new Samsung phone but was deeply disappointed to learn that the premium care requires one to enable tracking everywhere one goes with Smart Things to make a successful claim. That's a deal breaker for privacy centric customers.

Even if Samsung does honour a claim it is subject to a fee or deductible of $250 on flagship device, so, with one year of premium care that's over $400 and you may receive a refurbished replacement.

You are better off buying it with a credit card with insurance that covers mobile purchases. No hoops and no tracking required.

Back the phone goes.

Absolute joke i am waiting to get phone picked up from 10 days now. I tried to book in store repair but nearest store they showed was 50 miles away, while we have 2 big stores in Manchester?
Claim process is not easy as well.
I was Samsung die hard fan for phone but now i will
definitely consider other brands because of after sales support is crap even after paying extra to cover.
So don't waste your money. Better get insurance from third party.

purchased a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra…

purchased a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 6 in early 2022, and at the time, Samsung offered me a 3-year (36-month) Samsung Care Plus extended warranty for a one-time upfront payment of $149. I jumped on it, thinking it was a great deal for peace of mind on my premium devices. My contract clearly states coverage up to 36 months with no mention of monthly payments required.
Fast forward to 2025 – after just over 2 and a half year – my S22 Ultra broke down due to a mechanical issue. I filed a claim expecting it to be covered under the extended warranty. To my shock, Samsung Care Plus denied it, claiming my plan only covers up to 24 months for upfront payments or 36 months only if paid monthly. When I pointed out that my original contract says 36 months flat-out with the upfront fee, they sent me generic contract templates that don't match mine at all. They refused to even acknowledge the difference or review my specific agreement!
I've spent hours on the phone and via email, escalating to supervisors, but it's like fighting windmills – no one listens, and they just repeat the same scripted responses. They won't pull up my original purchase records or explain why their system shows something different from what I was sold. This feels like bait-and-switch tactics, and now I'm out $149 plus my I decided not to fix my phone. My Samsung Profile was saying that Samsung Care Plus was still active - no one cares. Customer service from India wasn't nice to talk to by the way.
I can't say avoid Samsung Care Plus at all costs – but read everything 3 times before you pay. Their customer service is abysmal, and they don't stand by their own contracts. Stick to third-party warranties or just save your money

No backup, Care+ does not care at all.

I told them multiple times that I couldn't make a backup of my files, over email and with a handwritten note when they came to pick my Zflip 5 up for a new display.

They still did a factory reset, and thus deleted a 6 months period of personal data and pictures. I wanted my money back and file an official compliant about it. But radio silence after they screwed me over.

Pointless garbage

Pointless garbage, the epitome of wasted money. It is impossible to get a repair through Samsung care. And shame on Samsung for making the claim process so obscure. 2 weeks have passed and I still don't know if my phone will be repaired

Disgraceful customer service

I have never experienced such rude customer service. I intended to cancel my plan and it took some time to even find a means of doing so as there is no way to cancel online, only by phone. The customer service agent was extremely rude right away. They asked me to provide a specific code for my phone to complete my cancelation and when I took a few moments to find it they were audibly sighing and stated several times that I 'should have it already' and that it 'wasn't difficult to find.' I would say it took me less than 2 minutes so they were extremely impatient. I can only imagine how difficult it would be for an older person or someone who struggles with communication issues, etc. After this experience I would actively recommend people NOT use this service. I cannot even file a complaint as there seems to be no easy means of doing so and considering their service I highly doubt it would be fruitful anyway.

Terrible customer service and a ripoff

This is for an insurance subscription for Samsung device theft and loss. I lost my phone and tried filing a claim. Samsung shows active status but due to a glitch on Servify (Samsung’s administrator) the policy kept showing inactive. I tried working with Samsung to resolve this for a month to no avail. Samsung admitted that it is a system error. I did not receive the service I paid for and attempted 10+ times over a month with a promise from Samsung to fix the problem but no resolution. Super frustrating and a ripoff. The customer service was terrible. Always kept getting passed around from one offshore rep to another. They simply just did not care.

Smart Care lack of response

I have less than 4 year old French door refrigerator. The freezer stopped working and I called Samsung. A repair ticket was opened and assigned to Smart Care. I never heard from Smart. Samsung perked me around for 2 weeks and finally told me to find a local repair service.. The local repair tech diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and returned to finish the repair. If Smart Care had responded, it is reasonable to assume the repair could have been completed in two or three days. Instead it took 2 1/2 weeks. I will never but another Samsung product.

Samung Care = Waste of Money

Samung Care is a complete waste of money. They take at least four hours to "approve" your claim. I've had Samsung Care on two phones, the only claim I ever was able to get through was a screen replacement and this was very early on when Samsung Care was first introduced. I had to search the internet to find a way to even file that claim. I initially called and they wanted to do a warranty claim, which would have required me to send in the phone for diagnostics. Since it was a work phone that wasn't an option. I eventually figured it out, but still a major inconvenience. Today's, 12/10/25, I attempted to file a claim as my work phone, an S25 Plus, is not charging. I filed the claim on line and after about an hour I called and got the automated system. After navigating through the options, I was informed that I MAY here back about my claim in four business hours. So, I canceled the claim and I also canceled the subscription with Samsung Care and went through Asurion. Through Asurion my claim was approved essentially immediately and the replacement phone will be shipped out same day.

Do not waste your money paying for Samsung Care, they offer nothing for the upfront or monthly cost. They are essentially stealing from their customers who have already paid an exorbitant amount of money for the phone itself.
