What can I say about shopping with richer sounds, other than it sets the bar for the retail experience. The staff are experts and give it to you straight with their recommendations and advice. They never just try and make a sale, they guide you to finding the right products for your needs and I have always come away getting exactly what I wanted. Every time I buy hifi or a TV I go to richer sounds, and I've been coming here since I was a kid when my dad used to get his hifi. In those days kids used to get a free lollipop, so I was won over from an early age. They are simply unrivalled.

Olivia at the Cambridge shop has been so incredibly helpful, passionate and knowledgable, thank you! When I needed to call to place the order the process was quick and easy. Really good customer experience - will definitely use you again!

My 11 year old amp was getting a bit rusty so it was time for an upgrade. Setting up a demo with TJ at the Cambridge branch was a breeze. It was a shootout between this, an Arcam a15+ and the Marantz model 30. While the Marantz and the Arcam were good, there was no doubt which was the clear winner!
However when i got it home it didn’t pair that well with my old Wharfedale diamond bookshleves, so it was back to the store to try out some speakers….no problem at all, TJ set up a demo the very next day! I eventually settled for the Dali Opticon 6 mk2 with which the EXA100 paired really well! A shout out to TJ for being patient throughout the process, he took the time to understand all my requirements and made sure i was fully satisfied before making my purchase. I would heartily recommend Richer Sounds to anyone and would definitely return for my future hifi needs!

Onkyo C30 - prompt delivery & very pleased with sound. A big improvement on my old (very old) CD player.

Why go anywhere else

The sales person (Tom?) did an excellent job, and the purchase experience was first class.

An area I feel Richer Sounds could improve is explaining how to use the product. Modern TV’s are now so complex that a series of evening classes would be needed to understand it.

I simply cannot work out how to create a favourite channels list, and I regards myself as pretty well up on this sort of thing.

The operating system on this TV is baffling in the extreme. I have downloaded the so called instruction manual from the manufacturer, and that is no help at all.

The picture quality is excellent, I just need to work out how to set it up.

Unhappy experience with two non-performing systems (same equipment!) but speedy change of manufacturer and rapid delivery saved the day. Excellent recovery and service.

Richer Sounds Cambridge is a very friendly and knowledgeable branch. I have been messaging them for the past year tailoring a suitable audio system for my budget. Even though I significantly went over my budget they were not pushy about this. Tom was very helpful throughout the purchase. The reason it is a 4 star rating rather 5 was largely due the not so great post-sale experience where I had to contact them a couple of times to check the system had arrived and ready for collection. Otherwise can't fault them. Purchased a CXC-CXA81 and Dali Oberon3 setup. Sounds great!

Good delivery great product

My order was placed over the phone and assistant who helped me was absolutely amazing. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.

Went to discuss our need to replace our kitchen stereo and record turntable.
Olivia dealt with us and gave us a number of options. There was no hard sell but very informative advice and help. Following our conversation we did spend more than intended but came away knowing we had made the right decisions. Excellent service.

Unfortunately my Marantz Cinema 30 was broken when I've received it. It was supposedly after servicing anyway? Big dissapointment. Refund was pretty quick and manager Paul was very helpfull.

Have used RS many times but went into Camb store Tom was very helpful and professional ..

Great guys in the shop but didnt follow up on my order as rhey admitted they forgot.
Hence the low score...
Poor show Cambridge branch

I was given plenty of time to listen to amplifier so I could make a decision. It wasn't an expensive amp I couldn't have complained if the session was half as long.
But try to solve the static problem! I was getting enormous sparks, some sort of earthing must be possible
