First claim goes well after a few years
Been a customer a few years without having to make a claim however, recently needed to make a claim. Followed the process with as much info as I could and received auto response acknowledging receipt of claim and they would need to contact vets for more info. Rang service line after a week to check if response was received and a further question. Vet had responded and guy on the phone answered my question ( very patient and polite from Tom i believe). Within 12 days email confirmation came with details of claim and payment detail. Just waiting on payment, the amount I expected as per claim. Can’t currently fault the service. Dog will require further claim for ongoing issue so we’ll see how it goes

Searched for a new pet insurance…After huge price increase
Searched for a new pet insurance company after existing insurance for J a 13month old female dog pet insurance went up by nearly 50%. The dog had no visits to the vets other than puppy growing check ups and puppy injections.
Purely Pets insurance came in with a very good cover and a similar price to J’s first policy cover. In 12 months time I hope I don’t get a similar situation

Purely pets were excellent at taking…
Purely pets were excellent at taking the monthly insurance premiums on time. They were also easy to get in contact with when making a claim. On the two occasions we attempted to claim, Purely pets were excellent at finding unreasonable requests that undermined the claim. These included detailed vet dental check ups and dental hygienist records back to when the dog was first homed. The maximum dental claim of £500 is listed but not obtainable so should be removed from the policy.

They will do everything they can to avoid payout, waited 6 weeks patiently after having to spend a lot of money unexpectedly and imagined the insurance that gets paid for would be somewhat helpful but clearly not as they took 6 weeks to find a small reason to avoid a payout, have no empathy for people all they see is money

Rubbish pet cover
Would give 0 stars. Won't pay out for an ear infection, recurring illness. Dogs are like humans they get sick all the time. There is nothing you can do to prevent an ear infection which you expect cover from the insurance you take out. Daylight robbery. Rubbish company, stay away

I Chose Compare the market to help me find the right Insurance for my pet as had been looking for a while and was becoming so confused as so many offer same amount of cover but vast differences in the monthly payments so using compare the market was able to find one that was right for me and my pet as a Pensioner Money is tight but wanted to make sure my pet was covered..

Do not recommend
Although staff I have spoken to when looking for help with claims and information have been very friendly and helpful, as an insurance company I wouldn't pick these again nor recommend, the price increases each year are a lot! the claims take a LONG time to go through with silly questions delaying the process. There is an increase of 20% per claim when the animal reaches 6 years of age as per experience from my workplace 8 years is the 'norm'.

They Cancelled insurance
They Cancelled insurance as I missed a payment due to being away with work.
Says they contacted me but no email was received looked through email logs.
Would not reinstate cover so I had to re insure our dog.
But hay cost £10 pm less.
For the exact same quote.
Totally useless costumer service.
Will be moving our other dogs once there cover ends.
