Plain, simple, straightforward and so easy to move from quote to placing order. Really good prices and a good looking policy.

Clear quote covering what I needed for less than half the price I had been quoted by my previous company.

Only just joined Purely pets insurance today but very happy with the price quoted for my elderly dog which is far cheaper than my present insurance company quote and for an almost identical policy! I found it quite easy to set up my policy online and very efficient.

After insuring my pets through Purely Pets for over a decade, I was astonished to find my renewal for a 6 year old Boxer increase from £890 to £1900. My dog has no ongoing treatments and is fit and healthy. It seems absurd that I can can take out another policy with the same insurer, with the same cover which will in fact cost me less than the £890 I pay now. However I will go elsewhere, Purely Pets seem to have sunk to such a level of immorality and greed that they are not aligned with my own values.

Purely Thievery as far as I am concerned, and I have cancelled my Policy, and will cancel the policy for my other dog when it is up for renewal.

In response to Purely Pets reply. A proportionate increase I was expecting, but double? That is insane. Your insurance renewal cost for one 6 year old dog is more than I pay for my building, home contents, life, health and car insurance plus my other dog’s pet insurance PUT TOGETHER!

Paid my claim very quickly. No problems whatsoever

Simple to use, competitively priced. Lets hope the renewal quote next year is competitive as well, as my experience of insurance companies generally is that new clients get great prices, but year two they are increased significantly. The company I switch from raised their renewal price by 80%... ouch!

Exceptional customer support from Tom in the Portsmouth call centre. Explained everything clearly, was easy to understand and the whole engagement was seamless. Praise too for the on-line portal, also easy to use. Year 1 premium also most competitive.

I think it's disgusting that I was quoted nearly £200 more for my renewal (having not made any claims) but if I signed up as a new customer it would only have been around £100 more expensive. I appreciate as pets get older the price does increase but to be penalised to be a continuing customer is disgraceful.

Just taken out dog insurance on our new puppy. Really easy to use and understand setup. Excellent value for money cover. Portal works perfectly.

This insurance was found on a price comparison site. It was easy to follow and the price was very competitive and when I contacted Purely Pets for clarification of a couple of things they were very helpful so I proceeded with taking out the pet insurance

This is my 3rd review of Purely Pets in approx 12/18 months. Cannot fault them at all.

I have three dogs, two are insured with PP (other dog is a bit older and I can't get similar cover for her with PP).

I've had to claim four times now on the one policy (Moose is the black sheep of the pack!).

A malignant tumor this time. She managed to burst her stiches twice within a couple of days, then ended up with a serious infection (I thought she was a goner).

Kept in and given fluids/IV antibiotics, home again. Additional test (Ki67) to see how aggressive the tumor was. Results came back higher than is desirable.

Vet suggested a consult with a canine oncologist, which I went for as she's only 5yo.

Claim submitted by my vet practice, one week later PP asked for additional info (not sure what), two days later, claim approved and sent for payment.

The oncology bill was paid separately so I called up today and asked what I do with that. Talked through with me what I needed to do and it's done.

Couldn't be simpler, couldn't be more helpful when I've called them.

Premium for Moose is still fair I think, given what she's gone through and what I've had to claim back.

Outstanding experience yet again, thank you @PurelyPets.

You never know how good your insurance is until you need to make a claim.
