After posting a job on this platform 21/12/25 I was contacted by Tim Wilson, a man representing himself as registered gas installer. This turned out to be a false claim. He has since been prosecuted by the CRU (who are now pursuing prosecution on my behalf). Thousands of euros of damage was done to my home, my home was left in a dangerous state and untold distress caused. When I contacted Onlinetradesman.ie to report the issues I had encountered, I was blocked from my account and repeatedly fobbed off with claims from their team that Onlinetradesmen.ie takes no responsibility for the tradesmen it advertised. At the time, this platform claimed that it ensured that "all our members hold an industry recognised qualification and/or are registered with the relevant regulatory body" - they have since changed their advertising to " rated tradesmen". I persisted with my request to have Tim Wilson removed from the platform and a customer service representative eventually aggreed to post a bad review on the website, on my behalf. This was not done and the plumber in question is still being platformed with a 5 star rating on Onlinetradesmen.ie. 7 months after my initial complaint, I made one last attempt to remove this tradesman from the platform by providing evidence from the CRU of his prosecution and 10 convictions in court- no response from Onlinetradesmen.ie.
This website is a complete scam with tradesman who are not vetted in an manner. I have been advised by a registered gas inspector that I would have been better off just googling a plumber rather than using this platform - it is not rated within the tradesman industry. Avoid at all costs.

As outlined in my review, I tried to submit a review on several occasions- your staff requested documentation which I am not legally oblijed to provide. Your response to my review is as unhelpful as I have learned to expect from your company. Luckily the CRU and the CCPC are more professional, and view my horrible experience as more than "conjecture".

Great service and got a reply immediately from a tradesman who came to fix a small plumbing issue. Website could be a little easier to navigate when trying to leave feedback.

"Onlinetradesmen.ie is Ireland's largest and only standards based service for property owners" yet all i see is these big ai humans and messages looks shockingly bad cringed.

We got in touch with Richard Barnwell on the 21st regarding a service he was supposed to provide. He said he would give us a price, and my brother paid €630 upfront for the service and materials.
Unfortunately, the dates were changed twice. On the last occasion, he promised my brother that he would issue a full refund on Tuesday, and we still have not received the refund.
We have repeatedly called and messaged him, but our calls and messages have been completely ignored. At this point, it feels like he has simply disappeared with the money.
Based on our experience, I would never recommend his services to anyone. We are extremely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled and feel that we have been treated very unfairly.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND THINK TWICE BEFORE PAYING AND TRUSTING THIS PERSON UPFRONT.

James Bray came out to my house yesterday to fit a shower, in the end the shower was not fitted. I woke up this morning to a massive leak in the ceiling of my kitchen, this man isn't a plumber he's a con man. Left a pipe unsecure at the water tank and caused an awful mess. Learn from my mistake and avoid him at all costs. When I asked to be reimbursed for the damage to my ceiling he refused. Shocking considering you put your trust into these people

Key to this interaction was great communication. Nothing worse than sending texts into the abyss and being ignored so it was very refreshing to have such immediate interaction with Cormac.

Everyone knows that jobs don't always go to plan, there may be delays if a supplier doesn't have the item in stock but if the customer is kept informed he can work around that.

Website is so complicated its crazy. I get notifications saying add a picture. I follow the link and it brings me nowhere to add a picture and I clicked every option to find it.

Separately it says I have messages, I follow the link it doesn't bring me to messages. I click on messages and I have none....

The ease of posting jobs and getting messages from tradesman is excellent. Getting notifications from the site is also really good.

I would have given it 5 stars but the website is a bit slow to load and it takes a few times before it logs in. This is the only issue I had.

I would recommend this site and I'll definitely use it again.

Put a job up over a wk ago. One lad reached out to me, I responded and have heard nothing back in almost 1 wk.
Another chap got onto me but each time over 2 days Im getting an error msg and basically can't get into the msg and reply

Needed a small roofing job done. Got a call from Victor within 10 minutes of making the request.The price he charged me was very competitive .we agreed price and time.Victor was very punctual and very professional.He arrived at set time and done a great job leaving no mess at all .Would get him again if ever work was needed
