Would definitely recommend Nelson Alexander for those who are planning to buy in Melbourne. I had a wonderful experience in buying my first home with their assistance. Though I missed out on a property I loved also sold by them, they then went out of their way to assist me in finding a property that met my needs. I felt like what I wanted was being truly considered, which was especially valuable in a property market that felt impossible. They eased the stress of this otherwise exhausting process.
Though I have not rented from them, I have only heard good reviews from friends who have rented from them. Would definitely recommend!

0 stars. I got the ‘unsuccessful application’ email 7 months after applying. Luckily the previous tenant informed me that they had gone with someone else, this agency couldn’t even update the status on their app. Very. Very. Poor service. Waste of time and effort.

Nic Exarchos - best real estate agent we've ever dealt with.

We recently purchased 11 Fenwick Street Carlton North. However, before this purchase, we bid on 561 Nicholson Street, which is where we met Nic Exarchos. This property went to a boardroom auction within a week of listing. Nic was great at keeping myself and my partner informed of the quickly moving process, and was really supportive and encouraging throughout. When we missed out at the auction, he gave us a call to tell us how well we did at the auction and not to lose hope, that he would help us find a property. And that he did! Nic went above and beyond in sending us properties he thought we'd be interested in, emailing every few days (while we were overseas on holiday). When we replied with feedback on properties, he was quick to respond and took our notes on board. When we returned from overseas he spent half a day with us showing us over nine properties he'd lined up. His help was invaluable, as was his suggestions and guiding advice. He showed us 11 Fenwick Street, when it was off-market. He gave us great advice about our best chance of securing the property and worked so hard over the next few days to organise another viewing and help negotiate our offer.

Whilst purchasing your first home can be a very anxious (and exciting) time, having Nic help guide us through made such a difference. We are so grateful for his efforts, as we are for James Pilliner (who stepped in when Nic went on holidays).
