Hello,When my family me, my wife and our 2 kids arrived at our destination in Algarve, Portugal, I was informed that I would need to pay double the originally agreed amount. Instead of 370 €, the total was now around 720 €. I had already paid 1200 SEK around 100 € with my Amex card, but was told that Amex was not accepted at the rental location (Movida). They gave me a handwritten contract stating that I would be liable for 2750 € in case of an accident. To cover this, they offered two types of insurance – one for 289 € and another for 450 €. I believe this handwritten contract is entirely illegal, and I can provide a copy of it.
I requested a proper contract, but they refused to provide one. When I returned to Stockholm, I contacted the support number +46844683757. Katarina and Janis from Greece answered in English, and after reading my email, they advised me to read the section on terms and conditions to avoid such surprises. They refuse to refund the booking amount, even though I paid for the cancellation.
The company that rents out the cars is called Movida, and Carrentals.com handles the bookings. It was difficult to find both a phone number and an email address for cancellation, and I only managed to find them once I got home. I asked Movida at the place to cancel the car, but they did not assist me either.
I just want to warn others to avoid experiencing the same issues as me and my family. They should stop deceiving their customers regarding the agreed amount. When I booked the car, Trustpilot showed a rating of 5, but on https: //se .trustpilot .com /, the ratings are 2 for Rentalscar and 1 for Movida Portugal. Both companies should be closed if you ask me.

Atendimento nota 10 pessoal muitíssimo educado adorei e voltarei a locar para viajar,carro excelente e muito confortável.

Te cobran una fianza que dicen que te devuelven si el coche esta en perfectas condiciones pero luego llega el cargo a la tarjeta y nadie responde. Su servicio de atención al cliente es inexistente, tan solo te contesta una máquina por WHATSAPP que nunca te va a resolver el problema.

Ich hatte ein SUV (Ford Eco Sport) für die Straßenverhältnisse in Brasilien bestellt und erhielt stattdessen einen VW Nivus, der die Reise zwar 3 Wochen unbeschadet überstand, aber meinen Erwartungen, was Geländegängigkeit angeht, nicht entsprach.
Nach der Abgabe des Fahrzeugs musste ich über 30 Minuten warten, bis mich jemand zurück zum Hotel brachte, da sich das Fahrzeug-Depot nicht wie OFFIZIELL ANGEGEBEN im Flughafen, sondern etwa 1 Kilometer außerhalb befindet. Dafür sprach ich den Fahrer eines Kleinbusses, der auch andere Kunden beförderte (auf Portugiesisch) persönlich an. Ansonsten hatte sich wohl niemand um meinen Hoteltransfer gekümmert.
Bei der Annahme und Abgabe des Fahrzeugs sollte man Portugiesisch sprechen!!!
Außerdem erhielt ich von Movida ohne Ankündigung 4 Wochen später noch ein Nachforderung über insgesamt 97,26 €, die aufgrund meiner VISA-Kreditkarten-Freigabe ohne Kommentar von meinem Konto abgebucht wurde.

Alugo carro com muita frequência, Tive alguns probleminhas com setor de reservas em alguns momentos. A partir do momento que o funcionário Higor que são da loja do shopping Pátio Paulista. Começou a nos atender, nosso nível de satisfação é grande. Tem sido muito atencioso. Obrigada

Betrug! Artikel wurde nicht geliefert. Zum Glück habe ich mit PayPal bezahlt. Ich musste den Käuferschutz in Anspruch nehmen! Modovida behauptete dann gegenüber PayPal, dass wir uns auf anderem Weg geeinigt hätten und dass sie mir das Geld überwiesen hätten. Was überhaupt nicht stimmte. Dank PayPal bekam ich dann nach fast 3 Monaten endlich das Geld zurück!! NIE mehr würde ich dort etwas bestellen!!

Nos cobraron la limpieza pero no era necesaria. Por teléfono nos dieron un precio, en la tienda de Botafogo otro. Llevamos ese presupuesto a Marina da Gloria SDU y nos dijeron que sólo era válido en Botafogo (el personal de Botafogo dijo que sí). Nos querían cobrar 100BRL más. La hora tope para entregar el coche hoy era 18:31, llegamos a las 18:20, el personal no daba a basto y nos atendieron más tarde. Nos han cobrado una hora extra pese a que fueron ellos quien tardaron.
Engaño tras engaño han hecho que me quede mal sabor de Río de Janeiro.
Son unos timadores, mucho cuidado.

Aluguei um veículo no dia 14/08 à 19/08 na agência central.Fizemos a reserva com antecedência pelo site e foi tudo muito rápido. Ficamos totalmente satisfeitos com o atendimento no geral.
Veículo limpinho, em ótimo estado. Fomos muito bem atendidos. Certeza de que vamos utilizar os serviços novamente.

Aluguei um carro por um mês na Movida, mas qnd fui devolver o carro me cobraram uma taxa de 80 reias por ter usado cartão de crédito e nunca devolveram o caução de R$500. Já contactei a empresa só cartão dezenas de vezes e não houve estorno. Agora pra minha suspresa, depois de 7 meses estão me cobrando mais R$79 sabe-se lá de que. Não tenho como ir pessoalmente na agência da Movida em Recife pois moro fora do Brasil

Deixei na agencia Goiania Libano uma cauçâo de 550 euros à mais de 3 meses e nâo à maniera de récupérer o meu dinheiro

O carro alugado estava em condições medianas, com um pneu perdendo ar regularmente.
Ainda estou aguardando o reembolso do meu depósito três semanas após a devolução do carro.

Eu tentei alugar um veículo na movida em João Pessoa, e para minha surpresa a atendente me informou que havia restrição ao meu CPF. Fiquei muito chateado, pois nunca havia passado por uma situação dessas em outras empresas que também alugam veículos. No dia seguinte fui até à Localiza e aluguei um veículo e em gratidão, me alugaram um veículo mais caro, mas com o mesmo valor do veículo que eu iria alugar. Vocês precisam melhorar muito!!

I had a poor exerience with Movida. The car packed up leaving me stranded in the Brazillian mountains. I called them twice to explain the problem and tell them I needed transport to the airport for my flight. Both times they said they'd call me back but failed to do so and I had to pay $300 for a private transfer.
I contacted them any times asking for compensation but I never got a response.

They were veryyyy nice and a beautiful view!! I would recommend it :)

pretty much everything went wrong. It took 3 hours to actually get a car to me on San Miguel, Azores. The contract promised when I finally picked up did not reach me until I was returning the car. staff at returns insisted I put a tiny scratch on the car and did not "create a police report." I will never rent from this company again.

Péssima empresa!! Fiz todas as reservas pelo aplicativo, inclusive o cartão a validação do cartão de crédito on-line. Depois de esperar 4 horas a loja abrir, me pediram pra m cartão físico mesmo tendo feito o web check in, e como não tinha tive que fazer o cancelamento!! E não me devolveram o meu pagamento que foi feito antecipado no valor de 1220,48..ligo no Sac não sabem dar retorno!!! Se não tiver um reator no em 24 horas estarei entrando com um advogado, pois na hora de receber o pagamento é feito a vista e no estorno eles querem devolver no dia que eles querem..empresa lixo!!!! Movida barra funda !!! As outras devem ser iguais tbm

Avoid this company at all costs.
Upon collection of the vehicle we were faced with hidden fees that just weren’t obvious to us at the time of booking. What we thought was thought was going to be an expense of around £150 resulted in costing us over £400 due to the pressure of buying additional insurance upon collection of the vehicle, as we were told the insurance we had bought at the time of booking online was invalid. When the vehicle arrived it had multiple dents and scratches that were undocumented and we had to force the employee to walk around the car with us.
The real problem lies with the fact that we accidentally left a bag at the establishment with nearly £200 worth of belongings within (children's tablet, toys, headphones). The company advised us they would hold to an our bag until we returned the vehicle. Upon return of the car we were told they could no longer find our bag and it was not where they had left it in safe keeping. We were later contacted by the company upon our return to the UK advising they had found the bag and would send it to us. This was over two months ago, they are now failing to respond to any of our correspondence and I am left with no option but to file a police report for the theft of our property.
I am outraged at the actions of this company and would avoid at all costs.
