Avoid at all costs

There needs to be a no stars option. I looked into this company after the chairs my elderly parents ordered became faulty. Granted, it appears to be a minor miracle that they actually got their chairs, but both were taken away for repairs. Only one returned. Apparently they managed to lose the other and have promised delivery of a new replacement but never fulfilled this promise. Now failing to call back.
I've submitted a complaint to the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman, Rip Off Britain and also put on a Data Subject Access Request to this bunch of crooks - that, too has been ignored.
It looks like The Mobility Furniture Company is used as a trading name but the company behind it has been dissolved and then started up under a different name by the same guy - Gildas Walton.
He shouldn't be allowed to run any companies as he's taking vulnerable people's money and not fulfilling orders. Needs to be done for fraud, stripped of all assets and made to pay customers back.

No goods and money taken & unanswered calls

My very elderly neighbour is awaiting adjustable bed for which she paid approximately £5000. This firm is being dissolved on 27th August and she wants the money back and along with everyone else cannot get any reply. They still advertise and take money though!!

My 83yr old mum ordered a riser recliner chair beginning of April 2025 …….. still waiting for it, no delivery date, no one answers phone or replies to email. The chair was almost £5000! Now considering contacting Ombudsman see if they can help.

STILL NO REFUND!

Still awaiting my refund I was promised on 20th June 2025! Their customer service is non existent, this company are taking people money and are getting away with it! This is fraud!

Did anyone receive their mobility furniture in the end?
Bought a electric bed settee for £4700with the delivery date 7th July. Still waiting. No good phoning no one answers apart from the sales department. Don't take people's hard earned money if you can't fulfill the order.

‼️DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS‼️

These absolutely scumbags took a £3000 depsit from my Mother for 2 adjustable beds, and then another £3500 final payment when they rang her up with a delivery date of July 16th.
They DID NOT deliver on the date as promised.
She got rid of her old bed the day before the delivery date, and has been left to sleep on her sofa since then.
When she told me in the afternoon that the beds hadn't arrived there yet, and had not been contacted to give her any confirmation or time slot, I looked up the company.
I was horrified with what I saw, that this company is a complete scam!!
We spent 2 whole days constantly ringing trying to speak to someone, with no luck.
We left at least 20 messages, and no-one called back.
We did ring the number that she rang to get the brochure, and someone answered straight away. Funny they answer when they think they have someone new to scam, but once they take you money, you get completely ghosted.
My next call was the bank. Luckily we managed to get a chargeback, and my mum has been reimbursed within a week.
Seems like it didn't take long for them to investigate this company and come to the same conclusion, that my mum would not receive anything, and it's a scam.
Dont let them fob you off. You have 120 days to get a chargeback from the banks, so do it as soon as you can

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY

Absolutely disgusting
My father found there details in a mobility magazine. In April 2025 they arranged for a chap to come and do a hime visit and measure up for a bespoke recliner chair.
The chap arrived and was with my father and mother for a few hours, within this visit he was asked to pay a deposit of £2806 which father complied with using his DD card. The chap was on his mobile to the office sharing fathers card details. At the beginning of July 2025 he had another call to say the chair would be delivered on the 15th July 2025 and that the remaining payment needed to be paid which was £2800.

15th July came and went, father became very distressed no amount of phone calls from my father and myself the phone would just ring out.

By the 20th July father is becoming more distressed and worried, I started doing a little of digging around and to find these awful reviews and wished id known sooner.

This has no reported to Police who are treating it has theft and fraud, also repeated to Action Fraud and the bank which aren't being overall helpful sadly.

Please please protect our vulnerable people of the world they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.

Deceitful and Dishonest Company Exploiting Vulnerable Customers

As a distressed family member doing my best to manage finances to pay for my elderly aunt's care, I've been appalled by the deceitful and dishonest practices of Mobility Furniture Company.

My aunt paid a substantial £3,000 deposit in January 2025 for a bespoke chair, with delivery promised between six and nine weeks. After waiting 14 weeks, we had no choice but to formally request a refund. Six months later, not only have we not received the chair or our refund, but unbelievably, this company is now demanding payment of the outstanding balance.

This company preys on desperate people already in vulnerable situations, and I feel a civic duty to warn others. Avoid Mobility Furniture Company at all costs unless you want additional distress, financial loss, and exploitation of your loved ones.

Man who will make everthing sound so good about your chair /sofa you have orderd,he looks and sounds the part i will give him that but totally full of shit..This company had no intensions of supplying my 85 year mother who is very upset about the £4713 she paid for an electric sofa that didnt come..Thankfully my bank was very good and saved me a trip to Weston super mare to get my mothers money back personally.we got a full refund after 3 months of stress and waiting for an order that would never arrive .PLEASE AGAIN STAY WELL AWAY ..

My father ordered one of these chairs…

My father ordered one of these chairs from a rep that came to the house. The rep leaves no card or contact number for him. Order page and £300 deposit paid up from with the remaining £1200 requested with a phone call a week later. Promised delivery between 6 to 8 weeks. A full A4 page highlighting limited rights of cancellation due to product being a “bespoke” chair is complete BS so they can get around some consumer laws - they are not bespoke and merely offer a few different models.

I firmly believe that this company (as it stands now) is merely taking orders, taking money and never intending to make any deliveries. Any of the positive reviews look fake and it doesn’t look like any deliveries have been made since the transitioned to their current format of company 7 months ago. The registered address is a private house in Milton Keynes.

I have reported them to trading standard (who are already aware of them and are currently investigating). I reported them to the police who initially told me that it was a “civil matter” but after me showing them evidence of them actively avoiding calls and emails, have now transferred it to their local fraud team (who had a current investigation ongoing).

Over a two day period, I thrived to contact them 20 - 30 times but the phone just rang out in all three 0800 numbers. I then called them and pressed the number for new business and they answered the call within two rings. I explained the situation to a very dumb sounding individual who told me that she would pass the message on to “Edward” (I’d been promised a call back from him two weeks previous when they were actually answering my calls - but never got it). I then explained that my father did not want his chair back and that I wanted all his money returned to him within 24hrs or I would come down and get the money myself.

About 30 later, the money was returned in full but no contact was made by the company.

Please don’t do like my father did and pay everything with a debit card as you have limited protection - pay at least £100 on credit card and then you can make a claim against the credit card company for the full amount of nothing happens or it doesn’t turn up, you can claim for the full amount back from the Credit Card company. That said, I’m just advising to do that with all distance orders. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FEOM THESE CON ARTISTS.

Take these reviews seriously!

I would give this company 0 stars if it was an option! Chair ordered 15 Jan, paid £3000 deposit and 6 months later, no chair, no communication, phone calls not answered or returned as promised. A rip off company DO NOT deal with them I wish I had read these reviews before ordering.

Terrible company to deal with

Terrible company to deal with, my father-in-law placed an order 4 months ago with an anticipated delivery of 8-12 weeks. We can't get any response from any of the numbers and no response to any contact - even the complaints number.
This must be a scam and should not be allowed. They are obviously taking advantage of vulnerable elderly people with no intention of delivery - total scam.

Didn't want to come and look at my bed

Didn't want to come and look at my bed. Agreed a replacement matteress if I called them out again I would be charged. Bed only 6 months old last year. I'm still having problems.but to get it sorted I will have to pay for engineer. Taken over so any problems wasn't theirs? Very bad after service

Pain in the back

Stay well away from these cowboys. My elderly neighbour ordered a chair from them on 24th March 2025 and was told delivery would be 6 – 8 weeks. It’s now 3rd of July and despite countless phone calls and emails all we’ve received so far are vague assurances. They stopped responding to us on 9th June. Still no chair. Wish I’d helped her look on here before handing over her money.  We are now contacting trading standards and the furniture and home improvements ombudsman with a view to taking further action.

a den of liars and thieves with no conscious

What an appalling company, I ordered a chair last December, and not only do I have no chair, but I have no refund. STAY AWAY from this company. I have now got to tell an 85-year-old that he won't his 3.500 pounds again. The thought makes me sick. When you ring them, you get fobbed off and lied to. They're nothing but a set of thieves and liars. With no conscious, unworthy of the one star you have to put to make trustpilot register your feedback. You can say what you want because they just don't care. I am totally heart sick with the whole thing. Surely this is illegal ,it is certainly immoral and unethical

paid for a recliner never received

I ordered a recliner chair and paid in full on 10th March 2025, 6 - 8 week delivery, still not received it. I have emailed, the first email reply was I would get it by middle of June. Emailed them again, no reply. Rang and now you are answered in a call centre who says they will pass it on and someone will call back, they never do. £2500 is a lot of money when on a pension. I am at a loss of what to do now to get it back. Disgusted, they should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!

Stay away from this company shocking Customer service paid 2500 for abed in January delivery date was April still waiting you can not speak to anyone about this they say they will call you back and they do not. They take the money but do not come up with the goods.

Terrible company, avoid at all costs, pray on elderly people

Avoid at all costs. Terrible service, took £7500 from our 85 and 86 old vulnerable parents for a sofa that is now falling apart after just 12 months of very light use. My sofa is 20 years old and in better condition. I was already horrified by what they charged my parents, as I know this is a vastly inflated price! but to then treat them so badly in after sales.....

I have contacted them numerous times, initially they wouldn't even engage until I quoted the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to them. However, even after all my calls and emails all I have had is this very unhelpful response:



" Your guarantee is for the mechanics not the fabric – this is up to the customer to protect. Fabric damage after a year is nothing to do with the standards of products but with how the customer uses it. This is not covered under the warranty and no amount of discussion can change that fact".

I am escalating a complaint on behalf of my parents to Trading Standards and ADR scheme and will take legal advice. DO NOT LET YOUR PARENTS BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE BY THIS COMPANY.

Think carefully before trusting this company with your money

What an awful company to deal with. I ordered a replacement mattress after the original one failed prematurely and they wouldn't accept a warranty claim.
Delivery was 6-8 weeks I called to ask 'where it is' and was told they couldn't tell me. I continued to chase for a further 8 weeks and they still couldn't tell me so I cancelled but they didn't refund the payment made. I eventually had to get my bank involved and even they struggled to get the refund.
Think carefully before dealing with them.

Do not touch this Company they are only…

Do not touch this Company they are only good at taking your money, after that they do not care with your chairs are comfortable or not, how we wish we had read reviews in Trust Pilot first.
We have been trying to get chair fixed properly for nearly a year but they do not want to know unless we pay for it.
