Our experience was fantastic from the time we arrived Shaun greeted us .
Answered all my questions very very helpful. We bought a car but the next day changed our mind and saw another one all arranged on the same day as we were going to pick up the other car.. I was on a time limit as to had to pick up grandchildren from school. He did everything he could to get us away on time..

I have been dealing with Mercedes for some years and have come to expect a high level of Customer Satisfaction but my recent visit topped the list.

My car was in for some extensive works and throughout the whole process I was kept well informed and treated with exceptional care and consideration throughout. The service department (Especially - Gemma) have been brilliant. Absolute credit to the company.

Good atmosphere,helpful and friendly staff, good sample of sellers wares, and excellent nibbles and chocolate and coffee !

Prompt and friendly service to renew brake disks and pads after warning notice appeared on dash board. Highly recommended.

My service appointment was arranged well in advance and the car went at the time booked. I was kept informed of the progress during the morning. The service was completed within the specified time frame and I waited on site - the wait was comfortable, with excellent facilities available including a comfortable work environment, refreshments etc. On completion, the paperwork was comprehensive.

Walking into Mercedes you are greeted with a lovely smile and warm welcome from reception, all the staff are first class including the ones in the background we never see and the technicians, they are quick and efficient, I've been using Merc at Matford for 20 years and never had a problem

The welcome you get when you walk through the door is like entering the finest of hotel reception comfy chairs office style tables Wi-Fi connection and the best Cakes and buns to have with an assortment of drinks from the automatic machine and an assortment of goodies in the fridge. Having just purchased our second Mercedes from this branch, the service we received on both occasions has been first class, including the staff and the free coffee and cakes. In particular and regarding our latest purchase, nothing was too much trouble for Sam Ward (including his patience whilst we deliberated on which car was best for us) and his (and Shakira's) help when we experienced teething troubles with our bank and insurers! He fully explained the benefits of the various Mercedes plans available to us (that we hadn't realised before) and left with a new car and confidence in the Mercedes back up.

Visited last week to purchase an approved used CLA. Initial communications before arrival were great, with speedy responses to emails and a helpful nature on the phone. On arrival at the dealership, all of the staff were extremely welcoming and polite. The car was exceptionally presented and the entire purchasing experience was fantastic. I've had the car for just over a week now and it is flawless. Definitely recommended!

Went to MB Exeter to look at a new A clas. Was approached by Phil. He immediately welcomed by firstly introducing himself to my wife and then me . Something we did not experience at a previous dealership. Well done. Phil asked what we would like to see and a test drive. He was totally professional in his approach and allowed us to be totally relaxed. No hard pressure sale. We decided to buy and Phil went through the whole process thoroughly. At near completion Mo came around and continued in the same way, professional and no hard sell. We picked up car two weeks later. At that point we were shown all aspects of car in a courteous manner. Phil said there would be a follow up which occurred 10 days later. He said of if I needed anything. I did which was to go over controls of car. I will be seeing him. I’ve been a loyal Mercedes customer for over 10 years, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. Since May, my car has been back to the dealership five or six times — five of those for the same recurring issue, despite being told each time it was fixed.

It’s currently in again for a new AdBlue tank, with Mercedes quoting over £2,000 for the repair, while a nearby independent garage could likely fix it for around £400. It’s frustrating that a more cost-effective solution isn’t offered.

I’m paying hundreds each month for a car that’s proven unreliable, and the service has been poor — calls rarely returned, courtesy cars inconsistent, and little support provided. To make matters worse, the dealership’s part-exchange offer was over £4,000 below my finance balance and around £6,600 less than similar cars are selling for on Auto Trader.

After a decade with Mercedes, it’s clear they focus more on new sales than looking after existing customers. Sadly, I’m now doing everything I can to leave.

I only gave this a 2 because Jamie from the workshop was very helpful, understanding and did phone/email when he said he would! Apart from him, the score is a 0!

Having previously purchased an E-Class from Mercedes City West Exeter and had an excellent experience, I had no hesitation in buying a new E-Class 450D Premium Plus Executive Edition, despite the 1,000-mile, 14-hour round trip to Glasgow.
A special mention to Matt Rickard, the deal-maker extraordinaire, and Jess Footitt, who patiently handled my many questions and soul-searching throughout the process. The handover was as seamless and professional as my previous experience, with George Hood providing excellent assistance with the very technical setup.
However, there are a few areas of concern. I’ve encountered several issues, such as the rear wiper washer not functioning, adaptive cruise control not performing as expected, a missing tyre fit pump, and multiple warnings about “hands off steering wheel.” These small but significant snagging issues have been frustrating.
One of my biggest concerns is that, had I bought the car from a more local dealership, I could have easily consulted with a product expert about these problems. Right now, I feel hesitant to approach a local garage, as I didn’t purchase the vehicle from them, and I’m not sure where to turn for support.
To make matters worse, despite receiving an email from Mercedes asking if I’m satisfied with my new car, I’ve responded at least twice in the negative, yet no one has reached out to resolve the issues.
If I could’ve bought my old car back, I would have—this certainly doesn’t feel like the experience I’d expect when spending £92k on a vehicle.

Matt Rickard is doing his best to help me with my technical difficulties from afar. Cant say fairer than that so I've raised to a five star. Doesn't mean you can stop helping now though Matt! :)
