Excellent customer service
Had an issue with our dehumidifier/air purifier. The customer service team and mechanical team were amazing. They arranged for to be picked up as I didn’t have a printer for the next day. It was then returned straight after the weekend with new parts and working like new. Thank you

My Meaco arete one is just over 2 years old and developed a fault. I contacted customer service by email with the fault code and they replied the next day. They agreed to look at it and sent me a box for return which I received the next day. It was picked up free of charge by courier the day after. Within a week it was returned and repaired under warranty. Excellent service.

Warranty repair
Sent back dehumidifier under its 5 year warranty as it had stopped working. It was back with us fully repaired in just 6 days. Meaco and DPD delivery kept us informed of progress. Best service i have experienced from a company for many years.

Not much help! Do Not buy Fans from Meaco
My son purchased 2 fans costing £257 , june 2023 they worked very well through 4 months of use .Last summer did not use the smaller table top one but it was packed in proper bag and clean and working when packed away . warm weather started last week took fan out not working just light flashing contacted Meaco and thought it was covered under 3 year warrenty so was told the warranty on fans is 2 years but 3 year on air con units they can see it was confusing but sorry anyway can I send a Video of whats happening and they then said this sometimes happens if u switch off from mains or plug in with extension lead I have not done either but try turn off and plug into different socket and turn on after an hour it didnt help! oh and they do not do repairs so im left with a fan that does not work and all they say is buy another for 20% discount I dont think this is acceptable . ive also seen a lot of people complaining about same problem with these fans so obviously common fault and not fit for purpose Expensive lesson,
I am now responding to the reply from Meaco today 29/4/2026 they told me they dont do Repairs Also the site they are selling on says 3 years guarantee! they said they are sorry it was confusing but thats only for air condition units not fans and even if guarantee is only 2 years 4 months use is not great for the price paid ! so for all the customers that have said they have great customer service not in my case.

I have had 4 Meaco dehumidifiers (still have 3 of them, the first one was retired). Always excellent. Recently it was the first time I have had a fault and it was picked up, fixed and returned in less than a week. So great service as well as a great product.

I bought a dehumidifier from them.
First one had a defective sensor. Customer service was prompt and helpful. They suggested a number of ways to resolve the problem. When these weren't successful they immediately sent a replacement and a free returns label.
New dehumidifier works really well. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Repair under warranty - my experience - EXCELLENT!
For anyone wondering what would happen if they were unfortunate enough to need to make a warranty claim, here's a quick summary of my excellent recent experience.
I have a 'Meaco Arete Dehumidifier & Air Purifier, 25L' (which came with a 5 year warranty), bought in January 2022, which recently developed an electrical fault. I called them on Friday 17th April, they arranged for a courier to collect it the following Monday, I received an email report of what they'd done on the Thursday, and I took delivery of the repaired unit on Friday 24th. So, only 7 days, from start to finish. I didn’t have to pay a penny for any of this - although I did opt to pay £25 for a full service whilst they had it, which seemed sensible after several years of sterling work.
I've always liked this machine (I guess I've been a little unlucky needing to get it repaired), finding it to be very efficient at removing moisture from the air in our bungalow, and now I'm equally impressed with the after-sales / warranty / servicing.

I recently had to send my MeacoDry…
I recently had to send my MeacoDry Arete® 18L dehumidifier in for a warranty repair, and the experience was very positive.
The unit is just over 3 years old and developed a fault where the display stopped working and the machine wouldn’t run. Meaco provided clear return instructions, and I was able to send it back easily via DPD.
What really stood out was the turnaround time — I returned it on Monday and received it back repaired by Friday, which is excellent.
The service report clearly explained the work carried out (replacement of the display PCB and temperature sensors), and the unit is now working properly again.
Overall, a smooth and professional service. Based on this experience, I’m very happy with Meaco’s customer support.

Terrible company! Terrible products!
I cannot recommend this company at all! Meaco products aren’t fit for purpose. I came home yesterday after being out for less than an hour to find the dehumidifier emitting a disgusting toxic burning smell like burnt rubber and the dehumidifier was red hot to touch so I turned it off immediately and found it had been leaking water and I had a flood in the kitchen where it was positioned. I rang Meaco with my concerns especially about the overheating and the person on the phone told me that dehumidifiers don’t cause fires? His words were “let me assure you they don’t cause fires” Well that’s not true according to Google they do cause fires. They can cause fires due to overheating and electrical faults within the units. I also rang my local fire station for advice and they have advised me that anything electrical can cause a fire because everything electrical can overheat. So this advice from Meaco is wrong and also very dangerous. I’ve been told by the fire station to report this to trading standards. The person from the fire station was also very concerned when I told them that Meaco told me on the phone they will collect the unit and check it over and possibly send me the same one back? The fire stations advise is not to accept this obviously faulty dehumidifier back. I’ve been lucky not to have my house set on fire so I’m not risking that again. This is also the second dehumidifier I’ve bought from this company that has caused water damage to my kitchen. When I returned home last night to a toxic horrible burning smell coming from the dehumidifier it was also red hot to touch so I unplugged it straight away and found it had been leaking water and it’s caused lots of water damage in my kitchen. It was stood next to a freestanding vintage kitchen unit which is now ruined and will have to be thrown away. The dehumidifier was in a carpeted area of my kitchen so I hadn’t noticed the water leaking out of it. The water wasn’t leaking from the back of the dehumidifier where the tank is but from the front of it? I clean it regularly, check the water tank and clean it inside. I always check there are no blockages where the water comes out and keep the filter clean. I’ve done everything you are supposed to do to keep them running properly so I’ve no idea why this has happened again? The last time it happened it was just a few weeks after the warranty had run out and when I rang Meaco I was told they couldn’t do anything to help so this time i bought the extended warranty which cost me an extra £60! So the dehumidifier and the warranty together have cost me nearly £230! These things aren’t cheap and you would would hope and expect not to come home and your kitchen is flooded! When I rang Meaco today to find out that you are now greeted when the phone is answered by an automated AI who speaks to you in such a condescending way asking you what your problem is then cutting the call off? You are asked if you are still there and when you reply yes you are asked the same questions all over again! The AI obviously can’t deal with the phone calls so why use AI? What happened to speaking to an actual person? After reading other reviews it seems quite a few people are having the same problem. When i did eventually get through to a real person after I’d tried 4 t imes! I was told the water damage would have to be sorted out through my own home insurance as it’s nothing to do with Meaco? Wow! The water damage was caused by another of their faulty products. I also expressed my concern that had I not got home when I did my house could have set on fire because the dehumidifier was actually red hot and the smell of burning like a rubber smell was overwhelming but the person on the phone seemed to think I was talking nonsense and told me that dehumidifiers can’t set on fire? Well according to Google they can. The advice I got from Google said they can set on fire due to overheating and electrical faults within the unit. To say I’m shocked at the response I got from the phone call is an understatement. My house could have set on fire! I’ve sent an email to customer services and have received a generic response saying they are only dealing with complaints between office hours 9-5 mon-fri so they are very busy right now and it might take a while to reply? Really? Well if other poor souls are dealing with the kind of flood issues I’m having to deal with right now I’m not surprised they are busy. I’ll update this review when I’ve had a reply from the elusive customer service department. And also I’ve only left a star because I had to to leave this review. This company don’t deserve any stars. I would never buy a dehumidifier from this company again. There are cheaper better models out there with a far cheaper extended warranty option. I just wish i hadn’t wasted my time and money on such poor quality products. Do better Meaco.

Second to none
I made contact to find out if they offered a spare cable tidy, which I had accidentally snapped off. The response was excellent, and they asked me to pack my very excellent dehumidifier in the original package, and they would arrange transportation to their workshop. Few days later I had an engineer's report, and it was being dispatched. It is now 5 working day since my initial report and I am expecting delivery this afternoon.

Outstanding Customer care
Contacted Meaco when our 20ltr dehumidifier stopped working completely halfway through its 5 year warranty.
They requested that I try a few trouble shooting steps which I followed without success and sent me a box so that I could return it.
It was picked up on 14/04/2026, inspected, repaired, tested and a service report was emailed to me on 17/04/2026, the dehumidifier was then returned to me on 20/04/2026.
Outstanding customer service, no dramas, it was collected, repaired and sent back in 6 days.
Makes me glad I chose Meaco for my dehumidifiers.
