I left a poor review in April regarding my late father in laws estste and sadly its time to leave another one. My husband has been trying to contact McClures for several weeks he has emailed several different people and not one has replied. I note since my last review lots of 5* reviews left after people have left 1*star reviews, not surprisingly most are 1st time reviewers I am a little suspicious. I would not trust this company, go back after reading my review do not just look at the 1st half dozen reviews there are lots of dreadful ones.

Only issue was the wrong address on our paperwork. This was quickly rectified and I would definitely recommend this company.

First class service. Excellent communicators and very knowledgeable. Spent a considerable amount of time explaining things. No pressure selling! A pleasure to deal with

Really really Bad , been dealing with them for last two years regarding trust on my late father in laws house . They rarely answer phone and take weeks to respond to emails !!!!

We moved house in August 2020. The service from the conveyancing team at McClure Solicitors, in particular Neil Robertson, was excellent. Very efficient and seemless. Everything you would hope for when moving house.

First in contact with this company in March 2020 to expedite Lasting Power of Attorney ,Health & Financial , for myself husband.Full fee paid at that time.
All communication has been instigated by ourselves.
Spent one afternoon waiting for a video call from the initial solicitor only to be told when we rang to find out why it hadnt taken place, his computer had malfunctioned just before the interview was due to take place.
We have had to ring to initiate paperwork being sent to our daughter to complete as the additional attorney.It was sent out in June 2020 it was returned by our daughter the following day, She is a very organised,diligent,service manager & i have every faith that is what happened.
Accepting that covid could cause some delay, I rang McClures this morning to try to find out where we were in the process, to be informed that the paperwork from our daughter hadn't been received.I wonder when we would have bee informed that this was the case.
It would seem that during lockdown some clients have received good service from the firm so not sure why our case hasnt progressed satisfactorily.

I feel really let down by McClures, & as elderly clients who recognise the value of having Lasting Power of Attorney, we feel that our values have not been shared by this firm.
Thankyou for your reply in which you infer the delay in the progression of our case was due to our daughters failure to return documents in an identifiable form.
Our daughter in her wisdom,kept the letter that accompanied the document that was sent to her.
It gives instructions on how to complete the document & the returns process.It also names the administrator who sent out the paperwork & refers to a case manager to contact in case of issues.
The letter was dated June 12th 2020. Our daughter followed the process set out in the firms letter & sent it back in the envelope provided by yourselves by return of post.
Given that some delays could have occurred in its return due to the impact of Covid on Royal Mail services, we believe the identifiable document could have been back with McClures sometime in June 2020.
Unfortunately your reply has just served to amplify our dissatisfaction of the service we have received. Furthermore ,we found it interesting that the previously lost & unidentifiable document was found in a very short period of time after our telephone conversation yesterday.
We feel it is regrettable that the apparent reason you give for the delay in progressing our case has been identified as outside the firm's control & stand firm in the opinion in our prevoious review.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You." What a wonderful service I received from McClure Solicitor during the Covid-19 lockdown.

All forms of communication was on point, including a Zoom/Whatsapp video meetings. There were no delays in email replies also.

McClure Solicitors operated in a manner that you would only expect pre Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, amidst government guidelines/restrictions, etc. the service continued to maintain their professionalism albeit minor delays, understandably.

Ultimately, I am delighted with my 'Will' plan, which arrived very well presented and bound in the post.

Almost a year after making initial contact with Mcclures solicitors I am still left sorting issues that should have been dealt with at that time!
This is beyond a joke, I had to undertake a lot of the initial work myself at the time of a family bereavement due to the fact that Mcclures were simply not interested at all in a job that would earn them no extra money from us as such.
At the end of the day, we paid for a service and expected, in the event of a bereavement that as a professional company, Mcclures would help us in getting all the financial information sorted out. Couldn't be further from the truth at all!
Once you have paid them, they wash there hands of you!
The senior management at the company promised to respond to my email two weeks ago now and I am still waiting, despite reminding her.
This whole company is a complete disgrace.
After posting this review I have surprisingly had an email from the solicitor's apologising for the delay.
Too late, as always!

I have used McClures Solicitors in 2016 for purchasing my first home and then again in 2020 to sell that home and buy another one. On both occasions our solicitor was Mr Ross Anderson. Ross is extremely professional, easy to get a hold of and prompt at responding to emails and phone messages. Moving during lockdown in 2020 could have been a stressful situation and unfortunately our move was put on hold for a few days but Ross guided us through this and filled us with confidence. At every point we were happy with the service we received. Also on both occasions we have been in the office to sign paperwork the reception staff have been helpful and polite too.

We used McClures Estate Agents to sell our house and have recommended them to friends and family.
