We had an excellent experience working with Laurus Law throughout our house transactions and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Our first purchase unfortunately fell through due to circumstances outside of our control, but when we found another property, Laurus Law were our first choice to work with again. They were incredibly quick to reopen our file and get everything moving without delay, which gave us real confidence during what could have been a very stressful time.

During the process, we needed to put additional legal actions in place alongside the purchase, and the team responded immediately, opening the necessary files and keeping everything progressing smoothly. At one point we were also faced with an extremely tight and unexpected turnaround to exchange contracts. Emma and Sarah were fantastic — they worked proactively, kept all parties updated, and even went above and beyond to keep the estate agent informed and reassured so the process stayed on track.

Communication was consistently excellent. They were always quick to respond, easy to reach when we had questions, and took the time to explain things clearly. Throughout, they remained professional, calm, and genuinely pleasant to work with, which made a big difference during such an important and sometimes stressful milestone.

We had a complicated sale with two major issues: the property wasn’t registered at the Land Registry, and there was also an access/right-of-way issue to resolve. Maria Guida and Sedar handled everything calmly and professionally, explained each step in plain English, and kept the process moving when it could easily have stalled.

After a bad experience instructing another law firm for the purchase of a property, a friend of mine referred me to Laurus Law.

My request for a quote was immediately picked up by Stanley who setup a call and walked me through the process and breakdown of their quote. Laurus Law was a little bit more expensive than the past law firm I had used but now that I have completed on the flat, I can safely say it was 100% worth it.

Stanley and Madeline were incredibly responsive throughout the process. To put things into perspective, the last law firm would sometimes take two weeks to acknowledge receipt of one email and I could never get them on the phone. In contrast, Stanley and Madeline acknowledged receipt of every email, set expectations of when they would be able to respond and responded the same day. They also pro-actively setup phone calls at key milestones during the purchase.

On top of that, Stanley provided excellent advisory. Considering this was my first purchase (in leasehold), Stanley took the time to explain all the pros and cons of different situations which allowed me to make informed decisions throughout the process. Again, in contrast to my previous experience, Stanley and Madeline kept me informed every step of the way, communicated clearly and never used legal jargon.

I felt that Stanley had my best interests at heart and that I was being truly protected throughout the process which was confirmed by the estate agent who told me my solicitors were very responsive, thorough and unwilling to comprise on things that could later negatively affect me as an owner.
