Delivery Useless
Every time I order online and you use Couriers Please for delivery there is a problem. After about a week tracking message says "picked up by driver"and gives a next day delivery date. Nothing! 2 days later, another date. Once again nothing. This can go on for days and days. How can a package picked up in Mirrabooka take at least a week to 10 days to deliver to 5kms from Midland area.
Incompetent if not questionable practice by Kmart
Last week id placed an order via the app , within a few hours , in fact in the first update , i read through a summary which listed partial shipments , items being prepared and those refunded.
Apart from the incompetence and chaos of irems being sourced from multiple locations , i refuse to believe that the items that were refunded had ever actually been in stock .
Highly improbable in my opinion that demand for these specific items in a specific material and in a specific colour had exceeded stock levels , particularly in that very short period of time . Furthermore at checkout i received no alert nor notification that these items were low in stock or out of stock , nor was it mentioned in the item listings ,on the shopping page prior to adding these to my bag .
It is important to note that
Knowingly accepting payment for items that are not in stock, without informing the customer or intending to supply them within a reasonable time, is illegal under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Businesses are forbidden from taking payment when they know (or should know) they cannot fulfill the order

online Kmart is very bad when I am ordering it showing available items but after I have done payment they are doing cancellations because product is not not available and they are putting refunds. It’s not the way to deal with customers if you are not having that product, please remove it from online. Don’t do fake things online.

Kmart online is terrible
Kmart online is terrible. I placed an online order and had to keep following up as after two weeks it still hadn't arrived or had any dispatch info. Eventually they just admitted they basically lost the order in the warehouse and couldn't arrange for everything to be resent. My only option then was just to wait for a refund and they didn't offer any sort of compensation which I found pretty stingy and embarassing.
In store experiences are more positive as they have some good products, however its important to note that some of the really cheap plastic products i.e. kitchenware are just trash and goes straight in the bin.

Heads up if you buying linen from Kmart Wangaratta purchased a king bed doona cover got it out wrong size to the measurements that are on the coverage they will not take a return or refund .
Very disappointing. I get that it's a hygiene issue but this was literally their incorrect sizing on their product.
Management weren't even prepared to take it out and measure so under a false advertisement product you can't get a refund!

I placed an online order 56 DAYS ago for a Christmas gift and it never arrived. Kmart was very difficult to contact and help me. The customer service team hung up on me twice when calling. The other times just promised me updates that never came!

Anko automated pet feeders are faulty
Anko automated pet feeders have a dangerous fault with the clock, which can result in your pet not being fed! Do not leave your pet at home alone with this feeder. I'm lucky it was only a weekend away, any longer my cat would have starved. I have tried to get in touch via email to 2 different addresses, offering descriptions and video, they all send the same response which is a generic, here is our cancellation policy. They wouldn't refund. I had to take it into a store for a refund which they submitted, but then I got an email from Kmart saying "we've hit a hurdle when trying to process your refund...call 1800 124 125" from a no-reply email address. You cannot get through to anyone on this or any other phone no. On the automated chat, when I finally go through the chat bot, one "staff" member Yuhki said the process was refunded, but when I said I will copy and paste the email saying there is an issue and to contact kmart, the agent disconnected. The next chat agent Mary just completely ignored me and wouldn't respond - maybe didn't know the answer and it's easier to ignore? - The exact same issue with the 3rd agent. Either they were all chatbots pretending to be human or ignoring is the way they get out of difficult questions. Either way, I no longer trust Kmart Anko automatic pet feeders or Kmart's customer service, they have defiantly gone down a lot in my eyes! Absolutely no way of contacting a human whatso ever (even when requested!) with a clear dismissal/avoidance of their customers needs.

Click and collect items Online always refunded even though it’s in stock. Staff just refund. This has happened at Campbelltown and Narellan store to many times I give up buying anything again from Kmart.
Non existent customer service
The only way customer service can be improved is by hiring more people not less.
Stock records are not updated. They say they have product but they don't.
Phoned several stores waited on phone for ages no response phone disconnects. Phoned head office the same response. Lack of staff = lousy or non customer service. Accountability for customers must be addressed in Australia if these businesses want to operate here. Penalties need to be imposed.
Mount Gambier store never has stock
Mount Gambier store never has stock of what you’re after. Online it says in stock, none on the shelf, we asked a work who just said it should be there didn’t bother to check out the back for us.

the customer service in store from two locations (tweed heads and Ocean Shores) was terrible. We returned a damaged product to receive an inshore credit which we could not use.
We subsequently ordered online (couldn't use the credit) only to receive a similar extremely poor level of service.
Not impressed with Deliver
Not impressed. All Aust brands deliver within 5-7 days. I ordered something from Kmart and something from Europe on the same day. The European item has come and no sight of the Kmart order, tracking or anything. You've got to get better at this.

Rang customer help left on hold for over 1 hour and they never came back. During that time I jumped onto their online help and resolved issue.
Do not buy from Kmart Marketplace
Do not buy from Kmart Marketplace. I ordered two items from Kmart totaling $25 with another $5 for delivery. Kmart cancelled half my order and decided to still send one of the items and charge the full delivery fee of $5. So now I'm stuck with half an order but still have to pay the full delivery fee.
Kmart didn't check if this was ok and their support was useless at resolving the issue.
Complete rip off.
Don't buy through Kmart Marketplace
Ordered and paid almost $170.00 for large item to be delivered. Was told it would arrive by 16/1/26. I've just checked the tracking page, only to read that it was delived on 13/1 WITH A SIGNATURE. SO not true. I've spent the last hour on the phone and live chat with Kmart reps, with them both passing it on to the seller. I have a horrible feeling this is going to be a very long process. Why on earth would a company the size of Kmart use dodgy sellers/couriers?

No customer service or ability to communicate
I spent 60 minutes in their live chat only to have them disconnect both time the second time when the “customer service person” when they said thank you for understanding ( they didn’t resolve anything) so I said I don’t understand you haven’t answered my query she replied with well you can read it again to understand and then disconnected. So this just shows their customer service ( very lose term) doesn’t exist and they don’t really care about customers.
