We wanted some Rolls Curtain Track…

We wanted some Rolls Curtain Track Lubricant, which is hard to come by, and found it here at a good price. Ordered it with some brass curtain hooks. It arrived within a couple of days and was just the job!

Just what I was looking for!!!!!!

Just what I was looking for - French Return cast iron curtain poles. Thrilled to find them in this country and they came quickly. The kind lady rang me to suggest that I had ordered too many curtain rings, which I had, and immediately reimbursed me and adjusted my order.

I would like to say how satisfied I am with the service I received today I was very happy with the customer services I received today I was really happy with the goods I received I will definitely be using them again I felt like I had to say this as people are easy to complain but not let people know when things are good I will use them again thank you .

Great products and good service.

I can't believe how many people are here leaving negative reviews in the so apparent cause of promoting other competitors. I have personally FOR REAL ordered a curtain pole and tassel trimmings from this company and couldn't fault anything. The Jones Florentine 50mm Curtain Pole, Acanthus, Ivory, Acanthus (3.0m long) was absolutely amazing and so was the Jones Venice Tassel Fringe Trimming, Pistachio. They arrived promptly and complete. I have a genuine order no 61831 and have spent genuine British pounds of £448.95.

I was going to put another order and saw the reviews on google and absolutely disgusted by how pathetic and desperate some people are. I feel sorry I didn't leave reviews when invited to after my purchase.

We agree totally about the poor reviews, out of the almost 70,000 customer we have had in the 13 years of trading on the internet, we find the poor reviews seem to be easier to find. In honesty, if we could publish some of the demands we have had, before being told that if they are not met a bad review would be left. This is plain and simple black mail, but cannot publish such items.

Poor quality, expensive, unhelpful

The poles are poor quality - the paint had flaked off the ends during manufacture / transit and the finials don't cover the end of the poles but rather are just attached with screws and fit flush so the damage is all too apparent.

Expensive at £200 plus. the reason would seem to be that they're made by Byron & Byron, stocked by Rolls then sold by Just Poles. Lots of people to take a profit from you!

Unhelpful as didn't know whether the finials should cover the ends (had to phone Byron & Byron), manager was "unavailable" to address our concerns, and phone calls were not returned.

Bottom line - they should be called "Just Want Your Money". No concept of customer care or satisfaction or quality. Avoid these jokers!

I purchased a pole from this company 6 years ago.
I moved house recently and lost the back plates off the brackets, I contacted the company and in a few days they managed to get me 3 new brackets which I collected from them.
Faultless efficient service.

Now we have the order number for the purchase, we can now look into the review.
On the day of purchase you were instructed that the poles you were wanting were from a manufacturer that was in receivership, and stock was almost gone, but we could get the goods sent direct from them to you. The order was dispatched and delivered, and as you reported that the colours of the brass were not identical, we assumed a mixture of Polished Brass and Satin Brass had been delivered. We requested that the full order was dispatched again, this would allow you to try and make good the order from the excess of parts.
Unfortunately the 2 deliveries were not successful, and the order was cancelled, and you were refunded in full.
At every point you have asked for compensation for costs incurred, unfortunately this review seems to be like others, as we have refused to give a cash amount, a bad review has been left. This is not how we do business, and we do not condone anyone resorting to accepting this as a means to secure a good review.
At no point were any of our sales staff rude, we find this quite detracting to the service you received, as on many occasions we have gone out of our way to try and help and assist in the order.

At all times we have tried to fulfil the order,we have acted promptly, but we cannot simply give cash refunds above the amount you have paid.
We do appreciate that your not a satisfied customer, but even a negative review should add the points that we have tried to help, and due to a manufacture now ceasing to exist, we could not complete the order.

Great products and customer service

I have used Just Poles a couple of times over the last few years and I am about to place an order for poles in my new house. The trust pilot reviews caught my eye and I feel that I should add a balance to the negative reviews as I have had a brilliant service from them. My last order was for about 6 poles and accompanying finials and fittings. I bought the Jones brand of oak poles and modern stainless steel fittings, they arrived when expected and they looked amazing. I did have a problem with one of the poles and when I called, the lady that I spoke to was very apologetic and sent out a new pole that arrived the next day. They didn't want the original back and I was able to use it in another area of the house. I am very surprised that others have had such a poor experience.

Thank you for the review, as it does seems Trustpilot seems to be where people come to gripe. Some of the 1 star reviews, if we were able to give the full details, it would transpire that unless we gave them compensation for a small reason, a bad review will be left. Unfortunately we do not accept blackmail, hence the bad reviews.

Worst ever

item failed to be delivered , eventually found it was thrown over a neighbors fence and was damaged . Just poles failed to refund or even bothered to reply to email or calls
DO NOT USE re-ordered from POLES DIRECT and got a much better and more reliable service
All of this is true regardless of the Lies from Just Poles, amazing how the reply to negative feedback yet they don't rely to customer emails or phone calls .
The poles were thrown over an 8ft fence and left in the rain on a muddy courtyard, Just Poles didn't inform me till the following day ,by the time we recovered them they were soaked throuout the packaging and damaged from the impact of being thrown
Just Poles never offered to replace them or refund my money.
DO NOT TRUST or USE Just Poles , there are other supply that are much better

Unfortunately Marios, Trust pilot allow you to leave such a negative review, even though the only part that is true, the parcel was left next door.
You tried to recover the cost of the goods from PayPal before they were collected from your neighbour, Paypal did their investigations and found all of your comments unfounded, hence you now try to leave a poor review.
We contacted you numerous times, and most out of normal working hours

Anyone reading this review must read on............

Tuesday- 1-11-16 : Order 58352 was placed by the customer

Wednesday- 2-11-16 the order was placed into the warehouse for picking and packing, due to a slight delay in some stock the order was not packed that day.

Friday 4-11-16 the order was packed, ready for dispatch, but due to our courier leaving early the parcel was held in our warehouse until Monday.

Monday 7-11-16- The parcel was dispatched at 16:24hrs, and a pre notification text was sent to the customers mobile number (***********), this informs the customer the parcel has left and will be delivered the next day.

Monday 7-11-16 @ 22:01hrs- We received an email from the customer, this stated we had bad customer service and we needed to deliver in the next 2 days or give a refund.

Tuesday 8-11-16 @ 09:10 hrs- This is 10 minutes from our sales staff starting work, an email was sent to the customer to inform them the parcel had left and was out for deliver that day, and that the delivery was 5 working day from order. Also around the same time Interlink sent a text to give the customer a 1hr time slot for the delivery to take place.

Tuesday 8-11-16 @19:25hrs- Customer emailed in to say that they had a message from Interlink to say the parcel had been delivered, but they did not have it, we were told to Refund or complete ASAP.

Tuesday 8-11-16@ 22:14 Hrs- We emailed customer the Proof of delivery from Interlink, with a photo of the delivery location.

Tuesday 8-11-16@ 22:22 Hrs- Customer replied to inform us that the delivery location was not their house, and they had not given permission for the delivery to be left over the fence.

Tuesday 8-11-16@ 22:45 Hrs- After checking on Interlink system, we verified that the parcel had been delivered to the next door neighbour, and it looks like an input error caused the delivery to be delivered there. The name on the parcel was correct; it was just delivered next door.
Tuesday 8-11-16@ 23:15 Hrs- The customer instructed us to have the delivery company collect the parcel and re-deliver next door. They informed us that our customer service was ‘Appalling’, and that they had already started a claim with PayPal.
Wednesday-9-11-16 @ 12:44pm - The customer emailed to say that they had collected the parcel from the neighbour, and said that the parcel had been thrown over an 8ft fence. We have checked the address on Google Earth, and found that the fence is only 4-5ft tall, and the parcel would have been able to fit between the gaps, images of proof were sent.

The customer again told us that our customer service was poor and that we had not responded to the emails.
Wednesday-9-11-16 @ 13:43pm- We replied to the email, and informed the customer that we were looking into the order, and that we had answered all emails very quickly, and the majority were answered by Staff that had stopped back to clear some of the email communication to ensure fast replies the next day. We also informed the customer if there seems to be damage to the pole, please inform us and send a photo of the damage to help us clear this up quickly.

Wednesday-9-11-16 @ 14:28pm- Customer made simple reply ‘you still haven't explained your poor customer service and why your delivery ( thrown over the fence) of the wrong address .’

Wednesday-9-11-16 @ 14:55pm- We replied with apologies, and again informed the customer that if there is a damage to let us know and we will be investigating the delivery.

Thursday-10-11-16 @ 23:29pm- The customer emailed in to say that the pole set was damaged, and at the end of the pole there seems to be a small hairline scratch around 2-3mm long. As the finials fit on the pole, the first 30-35mm of the pole are covered, therefore this is part of the pole that is unseen and as the pole has a brushed ( scratched look) it is insignificant, please see photo of the complete pole set below.

At all times we have tried to be helpful and give clear advice and instructions, and repeatedly we have been accused of ‘Bad Customer Service’, which is much unfounded, as can be seen by the event trail, which can be proved by email trails.
On this occasion, we think the customer has set out for a refund, as form the first email, this has been mentioned, and repeatedly comes up, after receiving the Goods.


Your complaint of Bad Customer service was found to be very untrue; this may be the case of a customer that will never be happy.

Received damaged items

Absolutely disgusted with the device recvd. Even after receiving monies from me and proof that the monies been sent I had to chase whether my order has been processed. Then items were delivered late that too had to be chased twice. Then my fitter went on holidays- I notified the company by email stating goods won't be checked until fitter comes back. Again had no reply from Just Poles to confirm whether that's acceptable or not.

Fitter came back from holidays and when inspected items found 2 poles damaged out of 4. Took pictures sent to the company still no reply when rang was told we hold no responsibility as I didn't check items within 48hours. My argument is why didn't I was advised when I clearly sent an email as soon as I recvd goods which wasn't delivered when promised to be delivered.

I am utterly disgusted with the customer service I have recvd and WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TOUCH THEM.

PROVIDE THE SERVICE CUSTOMERS EXPECT WE ARE THE ONES PAYING YOUR BILLS BY PLACING ORDERS.

On the day of ordering your poles, we did inform you that the poles were made to order, and that there would be a lead time for the order around 10-14 working days. Your payment cleared on close of business 6-6-16, therefore the 10 -14 working day period meant that delivery would be between Monday 20-6-16 and Friday 24-6-16, and the goods were delivered 22-6-16, which is 12 working days. Unfortunately once ordered, the lead time can very rarely be reduced, and no matter how many phone calls or emails the time taken to produce the order is the same. I may be worth pointing out that from the order it took 3 working days for the payment to be received from yourself, hence the delay in your mind.
On Monday 6-6-16 your order was updated to inform you that payment had been taken, but it seems that logging in to check the status of the order was not an option for you.

We have also checked the logs and the longest you have waited for a reply to any of your emails is 81minutes, most emails were answered within 10 minutes.

With regards to the delivery, we ask that all goods are checked and reported to us within 48hrs, this is standard procedure, as damages need to be claimed in the timescale.
You did say that your fitter was on holiday, but you did not state is would be 1 month before checking the goods, this is not a reasonable amount of time, and the goods could have easily been checked in the first 48hrs and left in the box till the fitter arrived.
We have offered 3 resolutions to the problem, which you did not see as helpful and refused.


It may be also worth mentioning that before the delivery we helped you on numerous occasions and took time to make sure you got the correct product, and even gave you a discount on the order due to the value, at this point you never complained about poor customer service.
It appears that as we have adhered to our terms and conditions, and not done as you wanted a 1 star review has been given.

Absolutely Delighted

I recently ordered a wooden curtain pole with decorative finials and brackets and also a pair of decorative tie back holders. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase and as I had researched the items I know that I saved a lot of money. I paid extra for next day delivery which was convenient for me and I was not let down. I almost didn't order from this company because of a bad review which I read so I thought I must take the trouble to let people know what my experience was like. First rate.

Parts missing, Hours on phone No answer, RIP OFF, Incompetent

Parts missing once unpacked, then as a consequence lost fitter costing us money, then to add insult to us spent hours on the phone to them No Answer!. Just Poles are incompetent and I WILL NEVER BUY FROM JUST POLES AGAIN. Do not trust them! I did receive a call eventually. They stated quite clearly.
- Are you sure you checked the delivery we sent 3 boxes and have proof of delivery, I said we are both responsible people and of course we checked but we only received 2 boxes.
- Eventually the rep checked his facts and realised only 2 were received. he did not apologise for accusing us before checking his facts
- I should of checked delivery on arrival he stated again. (I stated my wife and I were at work and that the weekend was the 1st chance I had of checking)
- The customer service rep accused me of shouting, when I said "How can I check if I am at work" He was derogatory and blamed me for not checking and not reading the website.
- Just poles said that the carrier was to blame not them!
- I stated the Carrier works for Just Poles he said he would sort this and get the poles to us the next day, no real apology just that the carrier were to blame!
The poles arrived 2 days later and as at yet I have had no formal apology and no offer to pay for the inconvenience caused to the fitter, also I see he has tried to make me the Customer look like I was shouting and screaming at him. We only have his word for this, I was just trying to sort this and he spent more time accusing me of not checking, he even incinuated that I had lost the delivery at one stage.
Then we were told as we did not check the website no rings were to be supplied for 19mm poles! The cost would be £38. We purchased these from Dunhelm for £14, what a RIP OFF Just Poles are if purchasing rings!
My recommendation: DO NOT TOUCH JUST POLES WITH A BARGE POLE. They are defensive and rude and this proves clearly Incompetent. They would rather Blame the customer rather than sort out their issues with their suppliers!

The order was placed on Saturday 19th and processed in our warehouse on Monday 21st March, 3 parcels were dispatched and the delivery was made on Tuesday 22nd to the customers address. The customer did try to call us on Good Friday to report the missing goods, and after leaving poor reviews and emails decided to wait for our communication. Our sales office re-opened on Tuesday 29th, and we contacted the customer to help rectify the problem, this was at 09:15 hrs, 15 minutes into our return. On our initial contact we asked the customer if he checked the order on receipt, to which he screamed he checked it and double checked it on delivery, only to find 3 days later parts were missing, on our investigation it turned out that only 2 of the 3 parcels had been delivered.
As the original parcel was delivered the next day, had we been notified we would have had the goods delivered before the bank holiday, unfortunately when the customer tried to report it, we, like a lot of businesses were closed for 4 days.
We did ask our courier to search for the parcel, which is lost, we then dispatched a new set and the customer had them within 48hrs.
We do appreciate reviews, but to have hostile comments such as these does neither the retailer or the customer any good, as this is a very false review, to summarize
1- Initial order was delivered next working day
2- After report of missing parts they were delivered with 2 days
3- this makes a total of 3 working days to make 2 deliveries.
4 We do state all orders should be checked on delivery, and report any shortfall to our sales team, no fitting teams should be booked until all of the goods are delivered.

We thank anyone for a review, but sometimes the Great British consumer only reviews to complain.

Very helpful and delivered when promised

I wanted 3 curtain poles that another online retailer couldn't supply for several weeks. Having rung JP I was told the items were in stock and would be delivered within days. The items were despatched and delivered as promised in good packaging. They look great up. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again and indeed I have just ordered another pole and look forward to receiving that item too. Thank you for delivering what you promised.

Disgusting services; please don't waste your time

I have requested a samples some time ago. After two weeks of waiting I called them up to find out the status of my order. They confirmed the receipt of the order and promised to sort it out ASAP. Two weeks later I am still waiting for my samples . Disgusting !!!

You are treating me this way on assumption that I am an Interior Designer? Unbelievable!
As you are aware of my full name you could Google it. My occupation has nothing to do with an interior design.
Yes, I was dare to request more than 3 samples with all areas of the spectrum as I have 3 bed flat to decorate.
It’s a pity that you forgot to mention that when I placed the order on 9 of May 2014 through your website I said that I would appreciate if you could provide me with more than 3 samples and I also promised promptly return all the samples back to you!
I have a copy of this email if required.

I have not received any emails asking to reduce the amount of samples from you.
Moreover when I called a couple of weeks ago to find the status of my order ; you chose not to inform me that you do not wish to deal with my request. I was told that somebody is dealing with the order and I was left under impression that I will receive the samples very soon.
I am so disappointed especially because I like a lot the products on your website!
That’s why I did not place an order or even requested a samples from any other websites. I was actually looking forward to receive this samples so I can finally place an order and finalise my bedrooms decoration.

Hello Victoria, as we are aware of your true identity, the only person we can see that may be you, has order 5 sample. Unfortunatly we offer the FREE service to help customer make a finial choice, and as your colours were all areas of the spectrum, red,brown,green. We do find that lots of Interior Designers, who think this is a service they can use free of charge, do abuse and spoil it for everyone else, that is the reason we limit the sample service. We do appreciate your REQUEST, this is not a paid for ORDER, and we do have an email asking you to reduce the choices, but you chose to reply to us asking for alll the samples.

We are not treating you based on anything other than the same limit was exceeded, as previously mentioned, this service has been abused and hence we needed to place a limit on the sampling service. As mentioned previously, Interior designers were asking for multiple samples, instead of investing with manufactures in the correct manner, hence the service became far too expensive, as this is a totally FREE service, hence we cannot call it an ORDER, it is simply a SAMPLE REQUEST. We do appreciate that you have said that samples will be returned, but again this was abused, and less than 10% of samples are returned.
By the comments you have made we would assume that we have the correct person, as this review is totally anonymous, we can only assume who you are, and obviously sample are not required any longer.

Poor Communication when dealing with problem

Good communication when order was initially placed with detailed email on how items should be signed for as damaged, as failure to do so would render any claim for damage as invalid. However my poles were not up to the quality and price as described on the website and did arrive damaged. The damage did not occur during transport, they would have been like this when packaged. It took 2 weeks to get the matter resolved and a refund to be made. Had to keep chasing company for an update, have to say there are other companies out there and I wouldn't use this one again purely because of the poor communication when something went wrong

Excellent service and OK delivery

I have used justpoles before for my curtain tracks ans I think they are good value for money. I needed four tracks this time for bedroom curtains. Web site is clear and easy to use, and customer service friendly and helpful when I rang up. Delivery could have been a little faster but I wasnt desperate for the tracks so it didnt matter.

Suggestions for improvement: Better photos with a 'hover zoom' facility. Add pull down menus for all the options (eg LH/RH pull, cord drop etc), rather than relying on comments in the text box.

I am really happy with the service received and my beautiful pole, I had first seen this pole in a local interior design shop and was quoted £120 more than what I paid here. Very pleased and I'll shop again.
