Good experience, merchant was honest about waiting for supplies from the manufacturer and sent it straight on to me upon arrival. Have just ordered another curtain pole with them.

Awful experience. Pole described as oak but the actual pole has a lacquered/sticker looking coating. When I rang to query this I was dealt with in a very defensive manner as if I was lying! When I sent photos the rude man admitted it did look very different. I was told I had to package and return - all such a faff when I think a refund should have been given. They should not be advertising these as oak as the pole is far from it and not usable. Who knows if I will ever receive a refund based on previous reviews. Avoid this company! Product and service poor.

Living in Northern Ireland it is often difficult to find a company that will ship here. My order was complicated as I needed extra brackets etc. However, the company went above and beyond to help me and the items all arrived within a day or two. Everything I purchased was perfect and very good value for money. I highly recommend this company.

We brought Jones curtain poles and were expecting something special for the £330 we spent. What we got was not noticeably different from those at Home department stores for about £300 less. The finials are pretty but the poles are the same as any other pole. We hung some pretty heavy curtains on the rails but found the hoops stuck and it soon became unusable.
We took them down and replaced them with a new pole that cost £30!
Delivery was on time though and the order process was smooth.

I had ordered a Swish metal corded curtain track from them as it was a good price. It was delivered to me only two days later. However, when I opened the pack itself I noticed that the pole was bent and not usable. The damage was not obvious until the pole was removed from its pack. I phoned Ian at Curtainpolesemporium who, quite rightly, asked me to email him pictures of the damage. A replacement track was posted to me the same day and arrived the following morning. I can see that reviews of this seller have been mixed, but for me, this is definitely excellent service and I would use them again.

Shortly after leaving the below review, I received a phone call from Ian at Curtain Poles Emporium asking me to change this review and informing me that the item had been out of stock and was now back in stock. I chose not to proceed further with the order because I have already applied for a refund via PayPal. A reply to my email informing me that it was out of stock would have so easily resolved this issue and avoided me having to come to my own conclusions based on lack of dispatch, lack of communication and reading other reviews here that had the same experience as me. When I explained this to Ian, especially in the context of an £8 delivery fee, I was told in a confrontational tone that it actually costs £15 to post (really? For one small curtain tie back?). It turns out that this is a legitimate company, it’s just poorly managed. It would benefit hugely from improving its communication with customers.

This is company is a scam. They take your money, charge you excessively expensive delivery and just never send your item. This happened to me and I have attempted to contact the company to no avail. I have had to claim a refund via PayPal. Please do not place an order with them. This is not a legitimate company.

Ordered a very long oak curtain pole which arrived at a time to suit us. The pole was of good quality and we were very pleased. Ian was very helpful throughout the ordering and delivery arrangement process. We did discover a small problem when fitting it which we relaid to Ian who promptly offered us a monetary refund which was satisfactory as my husband was able to overcome the problem.We would use this company again.

Wow! Rookie error on my part for not reading these reviews before ordering. The curtain pole arrived in good time but when it did it appeared it was falsely advertised as it wasn’t ’aged oak’ at all and was a soft mdf type wood with a lacquer/sticker finish which was peeling away at the edges. So naturally I wanted to return it and this is where the issues started.
Absolutely nothing on their website about how to return so I contacted the company with no response, so then I called and first spoke to the very rude Yorkshire man. He said I had to take a photo of the item for them and then it cost £20!! to return and that a courier would collect it. I did this but then still heard nothing so I chased and heard nothing, I then called and the man was incredibly rude. He admitted he’d forgotten to do it but couldn’t give me any timescales. I’ve never ever spoken to a customer service member as rude as this man and I’m not sure how he’s getting away with this? As he was making it so difficult for me to return the item I did say I’d have to look into taking legal action then and he laughed down the phone and me and said ‘well I might as well hang up now then’. Just shocking! Do not buy from here!!! Not only are the items terrible quality but the customer service is an utter joke and I can’t understand how they are running a business like this.

Ordered several items recently including silent gliss curtain poles. All items delivered quickly and well packaged. It’s great that they are an actual store in Boroughbridge and I was able to easily and quickly speak to the team and get some advice about fitting. Highly recommended. Great service, can actually speak to a real person and the website made it easy to find the right poles for me.

Three weeks in and in have yet to receive my order. No response to my emails and no answer on the phone. Makes me think it’s just a fake company out to scam people :-(

Ordered a curtain pole and received notification it was ‘being prepared for despatch’. After 3 weeks started to chase by email - no response. Finally got through on the phone to be told ‘oh the finials are out of stock’. It would have been nice to be informed earlier! Cancelled the order and awaiting refund. Fingers crossed 🤞

Curtain pole turned up quickly however, received in 2 pieces and both different colours.
Trying to return but supplier not answering my emails, also quite aggressive on the phone which seems not to speed up the process at all.

Excellent service. Not only was the Silent Gliss track price really competitive but it was delivered cut to size 430cm and delivered FOC two days later in really substantial cardboard tube. Brilliant, highly recommended.

I sent an email to the company asking where my order is as I had received no communication about it whatsoever. I had paid £7.95 for shipping costs and it had been a week since I placed the order. Generally when you pay such a large amount for shipping you expect quick delivery so I was less than impressed.
I then received a phone call from a man who worked at the business who took the most argumentative tone with me, he was aggressive, patronising and down right rude. I’m actually shocked and a little bit speechless at how nasty he was. I’ve never ever experienced such awful customer service or received such an antagonistic phone call. What a horrible experience!

The Emporium are one of the only sellers I could find offering a genuine heavy weight rail (Silent Gliss pull cord rail). I wanted an odd length which they confirmed with me before shipping. Excellent service, good value and customer care!

Recently ordered some poles and finnials, they were shipped within 2 days and the quality was excellent and extremely well packaged. Unfortunately one finnial must of got damaged in transit being the glass ones. immediately rang the shop and emailed the photo of the damage . It was not a problem at all and I received the replacement in 3 days would highly recommend this company and would definitely use again .

I ordered a pole which I decided I didn’t need after all. I phoned the company and he said he would arrange a pick up. On his terms and condition she states a pick up will be £16.50 plus vat. I had to call twice to ask for my refund eventually I got one but he had deducted over £27.00. I have emailed him and as expected no reply. He knows there is nothing you can do, the man is a thief. I get the expression it’s just him in a garage or lockup as he just answers the phone hello. Avoid if I were you because if you have to return then you will have to fight to get your money back.
