Customer Service

When I walked into Jessops last March, I didn't know what I wanted; I had a budget and some ideas about what I wanted to be capturing. A very helpful employee asked me about what I wanted to do with the camera and suggested a couple of different cameras which were within my budget, and I ended up picking the Canon EOS R100. It's been perfect so far and the experience in shop was second to none.

Helpful, friendly staff

I've been having issues uploading photos from my phone to online sites to create a photo calendar. I went into Jessops in Sauchiehall St, and was met by a lovely, welcoming team. I explained my issues and Lewis kindly helped me, and stayed with me the whole time to ensure my calendar was completed to my satisfaction (even asking me about boarders, styles, not something I would have considered). I would definitely recommend this store and staff

Extremely poor communication – order cancelled without notice

I’m really disappointed with my recent experience with Jessops.
I placed an order for a Wacom Intuos Pro Small on 1 December at the Black Friday price of £179. I received the confirmation email but never got a dispatch notice or tracking number, even after the stated 5-working-day delivery window had passed.

When I contacted customer service, I was told the item would be dispatched over the weekend and delivered on Monday. Monday came and went with no delivery, no tracking number, and no further communication.

Instead, shortly after midnight on 9 December, Jessops refunded my order without any explanation. No email, no reason given, and no follow-up since. To make matters worse, the same item is now priced at £229, meaning I would have to pay £50 more due to an issue entirely on their side.

I’ve emailed again asking for clarification, but received no response at all.

Overall:
• No dispatch
• Incorrect delivery promises
• Order cancelled silently
• No explanation
• No customer service follow-up

A really disappointing experience, and I won’t be ordering from Jessops again unless this is addressed properly.

We do sincerely apologise for the delayed delivery - December is an incredibly busy period with pressure on the industry from retailers through to delivery and mail companies. We do our best to adhere to delivery estimates however on very rare occasions, delays can occur.

Payment is only captured once orders are ready to be dispatched therefore your order was not cancelled - the pending payment dropped off until the order was ready to be dispatched on 10/12, when payment was taken.

We're so pleased to see your order was dispatched on 10/12 and was received on 11/12.

Mostly good service

The organisation for pick up and delivery of my item was well organised. However I had to chase with an email regarding post check of my item and final amount owed. Apparently the email sent did not get to me?

Pretty dreadful overall

Pretty dreadful overall, only reason for a mark up is that you can at least contact them

Ordered a camera for circa £1500, a week later, 3 chases later, not dispatched (busy period), no updates via email, pretty disconcerting experience buying from what I understand to be a reputable business

Ordered from a competitor simply because they’ll actually send me the goods. What a bizarre experience from Jessops, can only assume business is so good that they don’t need to bother with little &1500 orders

Could not be more helpful

Apologies cant remember the lady's name who assisted me with my camera purchase. She gave me so much info about the camera and showed me how capable the model was. Gave lots of recommendations. Further assisted me with payment options. She has gone above and beyond I would say, smiling throughout the process. TO ADD I really love the camera and lens as she advised!
