The engineer ‘Cohen’ who attended was very pleasant & helpful and managed to not fix the main issue. But has arranged and fixed that we now have hot water until L&Q sort there side out. As the issue lies with L&Q not insite.

Darren came round to fix the leak in my HIU. He was great from the offset assuring me he would get it fixed. Which he has! He then took the time to show me that all my taps had hot water and that there was no more leaks. Great service 😃

Daren was kind and professional

I have been a customer with Insite Energy since moving into my flat in September 2025. For over a year, my online billing portal completely failed to work, and my GURU meter never updated.

Despite multiple complaints over the course of a full year, I was repeatedly told the exact same line: that they were "working on it." Unsurprisingly, nothing ever changed.

Then, at the end of August 2026, my account suddenly started working again out of nowhere, promptly followed by a £450 back-billed debt for energy I had no way of tracking or paying for in real-time.

To be entirely fair, I am more than happy to pay for the actual energy I consumed. However, being slapped with a massive lump sum due to their systemic IT failures is completely unacceptable - especially given the steep daily standing charges we are forced to pay for a system that clearly lacks proper maintenance and upkeep.
When I requested compensation for this ordeal, the customer service experience went from bad to worse. I’ve had to call three separate times, only to be passed around with empty promises that "someone will call you back" - a call that never comes.

I have now submitted a formal complaint specifically regarding compensation, but getting a straight answer feels impossible.

I move out of this flat at the end of September and will finally be free of Insite Energy. I genuinely cannot wait to leave them behind.
