The call I got I assumed was just another market call, someone trying to sell me something I didn’t want or need, but Ellise was very professional and clear and explained everything of what I was getting, giving me 100% peace of mind I was in good hands.

Don’t know how this Company is still…

Don’t know how this Company is still operating?
I had washing machine insurance cover over 2 years ago and opted out when the cover went from £6.90 to £19.00 per month without any notification from them.
Yesterday I had a random telephone call from home shield direct informing me my monthly cover will be reduced from £9.80 to £9.00 per month. I am currently with Domestic & general and thought the telephone call was from them so I said thank you and that was the end of the conversation . It was only when I was notified by my bank that a new direct debit had been set up in the name of Home shield direct that I realised I had been hoodwinked by this underhanded Company who seem to prey on fragile pensioners. How they are allowed to operate amazes me .
I have this morning deleted the DD.

They stated today in There reply that I last had cover with them in July 2024! So why contact me on the 12thJanuary 2026 to inform me of a discount for an insurance I no longer have with them and take it upon themselves to issue a DD with my Bank.

I did not agree yesterday and never will take out any Insurance cover with Homeshield Direct.
I request you delete all personal information you may hold on my account and I hope never to hear from you again.

We are sorry that you appear to be confused on so many issues.

Most importantly we never prey on fragile pensioners and are insulted by your accusations. Our agent very clearly stated he was calling from Homeshield Direct at the very beginning of the call at no point insinuated otherwise.
We have never increased our prices from £6 - £20. The £6.90 is the price for each month over 3 years (total £248.40) and £19 is the monthly price for one year (total £228) with the next two years payment free, so in real terms we have reduced our prices.
You had a washing machine plan with us just last year in July 2024, not 5 years ago and then decided to cancel the plan. You happily then agreed to set up a new plan this month.

Trustpilot is a platform meant for genuine experiences so we are disappointed by your inaccurate review.

The experience with Ross was amazing as…

The experience with Ross was amazing as was the first time with my washing machine and now with my fridge freezer needing repaired . He walked me through the procedures and a new fridge freezer order placed . Thank you Ross for taking the time to explain what was expected..I would also like to mention Tom who took me to the next step efficiently and I am delighted with all information given and can't wait to get my fridge freezer. Thank you both for your outstanding help at this time. Keep up the great work .

Took out policy needed repair to washer…

Took out policy needed repair to washer paid monthly asked for the whole years payments 86.00 before repair.cancelled policy immedjately .
They kept the three direct payments not very nice about it.

I agreed monthly installments ,,,said I hadnt read small print never got policy docs yet !!! What can be done to get a refund not satisfied? Customer.

Cold call, about washing machine cover. Lied to multiple times

Was lied to multiple times regarding white goods cover.

I advised i had cover in place with Domestic And General at £12 per month for multi appliance cover, there's is £9 per appliance, with my 3 appliances you do the math, I said D&G is cheaper and better!

Reeled of some speel that i didn;t listen to a great deal, 14 mins in, still on the phone so i Hung up...Only to be called abck right abck with more sales speel!! I've done direct sales for the AA, so i'm not the best target for these clowns, young people who are on commision!!

So i hung up and blocked their number.

Sales people need to understand a constant NO means NO!!
