Wish I had read these reviews first.
Wrong items despatched - they didn’t even match the delivery note! Contacted customer services and the email they sent back was poorly worded, grammatically very poor and didn’t make sense. Didn’t seem to care about the problem and now I am stuck with the wrong item! I could risk sending the item back but looking at the reviews i’m not convinced i’ll ever get the replacement.
My advice - don’t order from them!

I can only ad my voice to the appalling reviews already available, which I wish I'd read before placing my order. I ordered 2 pairs of shorts as Christmas presents on 1st December - Delivery supposed to be within 4-5 working days.
One whole week later (8th December) had a phone call to say one item not available as advertised but offering a different colour if acceptable. I accepted the alternative BUT another week on (15th December) I'm still chasing for information on the whereabouts of a parcel supposedly despatched 5 days ago.
Not anywhere near the service you see from virtually all other online retailers i.e.
- No confirmation of despatch
- No tracking service
- Unbelievably slow despatch/delivery system
Avoid!
They advertise merchandise that is not in stock. They offer an inappropriate alternative that you don't want so they cancel the order and state a refund will be issued in 5 to 7 days......Your child does not receive their intended present for their birthday and you do not receive the refund...
They then ignore all correspondence sent to them asking for the refund
My advice
1) involve your credit card company - a refund has at last been issued but ONLY after the credit card company were informed of the debt and started an investigation
2) avoid this company - others may be slightly more expensive but their reviews are better
3) Barringtons were great

Very, very poor sales practice. They knowingly advertise items that they do not stock - not just one, but more. Use this company at your peril. They are terrible.

Bought a hockey stick for my son's Christmas present after checking that I'd be able to return if wrong size. Was told no problem, no timeframe for return given. Returned the stick. It had been out of the box and packaging for 5 minutes on Christmas day and was umarked. Then received a message to say they wouldn't accept the return as there was no paperwork with it and the stick was marked. When I phoned to query that I was told OK, the paperwork was there, and OK maybe it isn't marked, but it's more than 14 days since you purchased it. Any excuse it seems.

Shockingly rude, disorganised and can clearly get away with awful customer service... and that's the manager.
5 weeks and waiting
Took 5 weeks to despatch a parcel despite numerous chasing phone calls. I was told the item was out of stock at the suppliers so I called the suppliers to find out it was in stock.
Promised delivery for a certain date, it didn't happen.
Called them to find out where the parcel was and to ask for a call back. Call back didn't happen.
Called again to find out why my call hadn't been returned to find out that the parcel had been despatched days ago. "So it's on its way?"..... they don't know.
Terrible Customer Service
Purchased a hockey stick from them - had not arrived after a week so I called their 'customer services' department - waste of time as they talked over me and hung up. Rude and unhelpful people. I never thought i'd say this, but Sports Direct are better! Avoid this firm.
Appalling customer service - no refund after 2 months!
Avoid this retailer at all costs - despite attractive prices, their customer service is not only difficult to reach, but it also gives no attention to your issues.
I ordered a hockey bag which ended up not meeting my needs. I returned it in due time in September and I am still waiting for a refund.
Their customer service is most unhelpful: they are difficult to reach, they always promise to deal with the issue switfly, they cannot connect you with any manager or reponsible for the refund, they promise to call you back and never do. Do they expect me to give up?
Please note that they seem to be a subsidiary of Cricket Direct in St Albans, which has very similar reviews to mine.
Don't expect any support if anything goes wrong.
