Very poor experience - it took them a week from the date of order to inform me that an item was out of stock. Amended order and was assured by customer services that it would be with me within four days but it didn't arrive for another week, at which point it was too late for the event it was needed for. I refused delivery, as advised by customer services, but they forgot to tell the courier, who continued to try to deliver it each day. After chasing, they did request the courier return it, but I then had to chase up a refund several times, eventually having to open a case with PayPal, at which point the refund was made. If you must use this company, I definitely recommend using PayPal and ordering a month in advance of when you need the item.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but feel like I should given how low this website is rated. I some shoes ordered on Thursday night and they arrived on the Saturday via Royal Mail tracked. No issues with this company at all. Keep it up 👍🏻

I didn't see these reviews until after I ordered. I hadn't heard from hockeydirect regarding my order, which had me worried, however, they promptly provided a tracking number when asked and my stick and accessories arrived the next day, many thanks!

I must admit having read the reviews, I was dubious, however I was pleasantly surprised about the customer service when returning a hockey stick. All sorted out very quickly and one happy hockey player. Thank you.

Terrible returns experience. I bought a pair of shoes for my son. They didn't fit so I attempted a return. The instructions are limited but I followed them and sent the shoes. I heard nothing so after 10 days I emailed and got the following reply: "we have received the return and how you would like to process.".
No money has been returned yet 🙁
If I don't hear soon I'm going to charge back the order with my credit card company. Very disappointed.
In the meantime I've ordered a second pair of shoes in the correct size from another shop.

What an absolute awful customer service, I wish I had looked and seen this awful rating before I ordered anything from these terrible people.
They offer a discount code with nowhere to enter it and when I asked politely if they could support or do something to assist to apply it they just fobbed me off and didn't offer any sort of apology or credit.
They clearly do not care at all about their customers. I wonder when if ever I will see my order

Sent wrong hockey stick, took a long time to send replacement only for it to be wrong hockey stick again. Will never shop with them again.

Avoid at all costs. I should have checked the reviews first! Hockey shoes took 2 weeks to arrive, then were faulty. I was told I had to pay to return them! Really poor and rude customer service full of lies - when I asked to speak to the manger one minute the manager was there but not at his desk - the next minute he was off. Hmmmm....

C’était ma première et dernière commande je n’avais pas vu les avis précédents! A éviter sincèrement j’ai commander une paire de basket j’ai reçu deux pieds droits de deux modèles différents dans une boîte casser je précise que l’emballage était intact ! Aucun bon de retour à l’intérieur voilà comment liquider vos impaires! C’est vraiment scandaleux aucun moyens de les joindre par téléphone et ne répond même pas aux e-mails à fuir !

Items were out of stock and fed blatant lies when calling customer service. The order was a birthday present which missed the birthday!!

Really poor service - the hockey stick I ordered was the wrong size. No exchange/refund information in the packaging . . . I'm told (via email) that an exchange is possible . . . so I send the stick back. I received no confirmation of receipt, 10 days later I email to ask when we can expect the replacement. Apparently they didn't have it in stock but it should arrive in the next four days. Another week goes past so I call - the new stick STILL isn't in stock but nobody has thought to call and let me know. I ask for a refund which I'm told will be issued "at some point". Avoid.

Do not buy from this site - they actively advertise items as being in stock on their website when they are not in stock. They take your money and weeks later the items still haven’t arrived, they haven’t processed a refund - their customer service sent me the most badly worded emails that I have ever received - littered with spelling mistakes and bad grammar and the items are STILL showing as in stock on their website. Terrible experience - I have had to buy another pair of shoes for my daughter and I have no idea if the pair that I ordered from this site will ever arrive. This is bordering on a scam business, despite a professional shopfront, behind the scenes it is anything but. I will never buy anything from this website again. I never write reviews but after this experience I checked to see if people were having a similar experience - to find that 75% of reviews were rated 1 out of 5 and very similar issues. If I were the owner of this business I would be extremely concerned.

I bought at pair of Canterbury stadiums as the price was reasonable. It was a bit frustrating that postage and tax wasn’t shown on the price which added another £15.
5 weeks after buying and wearing 3 times, and he waist tie has completely separated from the trousers and it’s clear to see there was a fault in the manufacturing and some of the material has frayed.

The company won’t pay for the return and haven’t fully explained what will be refunded/ exchanged if I do return then at my own cost.

Terrible customer service experience all round. Blunt, unhelpful email replies from online assistance. I simply don’t trust them to deal with it properly if I do return them.

Shocking customer service when it comes to poor descriptions in particular items causing confusion when buying. Once mistake was realised they wouldn't do anything to even remotely help the customer. Never buying from them again.

Ordered my items last Thursday, emailed the following Monday to see if they would be dispatched soon as I needed them for the following weekend and was told they would be dispatched that day.
Radio silence from any updates, then I emailed again, with no response and came to read all the poor reviews of people not receiving items. I rang this morning and requested it be cancelled, as I asked if they had dispatched the items and she was unable to give me an explanation so I cancelled and requested a full refund which was accepted by word of mouth. However, I have worked on an online shop and know the score with shopify and have not received a proper refund notification which worries me, I have a feeling I will be back on the phone soon. Its scary this company feels like it can keep hold of your money without providing your goods.
I would be happy if they were honest that they did not have the products and handled it responsibly. So unfortunately I would advise no one orders from this company.

We ordered some hockey shoes size 10 and they sent one shoe size 8 and one shoe size 8.5, after the return. I have to send multiple emails over a period of one month , to get a refund and had to contact my bank as well.
Will never use them . Extremely unreliable and very poor and awful customer service

Order a helmet took 7 days to tell me not in stock after email exchanges still no helmet and an inability from them understanding what had been communicated I gave up and requested a refund 20 days after placing order will advise not to use this company

Almost 4 weeks later and my order still hasn't arrived even though it's apparently always "going to be sent out today". I have asked for a refund and even that's called on deaf ears. Will be avoiding in the future.

Order hockey goalie bag sent 2 tracking numbers 2 different company after over a month of chasing got Indian call centre who advise item was out of stock ! Still hadn’t cancelled or refund have said they will today !terrible company don’t use ever !
