Ordered a hockey grip to be delivered standard delivery. After a week of waiting I had to contact the company about my order, turns out the item was being advertised despite it being out of stock with this company AND the manufacturer. No effort to contact me on their behalf. They were very happy to keep my money for god knows how long without letting me know. Luckily got a refund but got a very pathetic and generic (robot like) response from ‘customer service’. Will never use this company and will forever tell everyone else to not use.

Never received my order and had to contact my bank for a charge back. Every time I contacted the company to chase order they just fob you off.

The deal they had was the best I could find. The website was good and had easy to find categories also the people on communications were polite and responded fast but the only problem I found was the delivery time

Urgent order placed on 07/03 for hockey shoes. Added note to stress the urgency. Honestly, the comms were pretty poor and their email service is dreadful (auto-rejects emails with links, attachments or even replied to emails!)...however the shoes were sent same day and arrived next day, so the outcome was great. Not to mention they were the second cheapest price I could find online, and the cheapest that actually had the size in stock.

Still waiting for my hockey shoes. No communication!!! Wish i read the reviews before ordering

Like other customers on here I ordered a hockey stick but when I had no delivery update I queried only to be told that they do not have the item in stock. If I had not got in touch I wonder how long I would have been left waiting! I asked for a refund to be told the order had been cancelled and “pass for refund”. I then queried the “pass for refund” and got a very snotty response.
Terrible customer service. Clearly selling items they do not have in stock.
I have now opened a case with PayPal after reading reviews from other buyers.
Wish I had read reviews on here first and purchased elsewhere.
Thankfully I have managed to purchase the stick along with next day delivery elsewhere for less than I paid at Hockey Direct.

Currently awaiting delivery of an expensive stick. When queried they told me stick has been delivered and sent a photo of someone (not me) receiving it in a doorway (not mine). They are investigating but say we have to wait a further 6 days for DPD to raise the query. We need the stick for school and I am not very hopeful. I will not use them again.

Didn't have any problems on this website when ordering a new stick.

I’m not sure about this company, ordered a pair of shoes on the 27/10/22 I right away messaged the online help as they didn’t say an estimated delivery date. They then told me the shoe was out of stock and they would get them Monday or Tuesday. It’s now Thursday and I hadn’t heard anything so I messaged again asking about the delivery and they told me they tried to post and had been sent back to them but reassured they’d resend them. Which I did later receive an email about being delivered tomorrow. So we will see if they turn up.

Update: turned up today when said and on time. So if you buy from this company just push and prod right from the start so they know you’re not messing around and definitely pay through PayPal just incase

TERRIBLE SERVICE - Ordered a week ago and was not told the hockey stick was out of stock!

Have had to chase this up myself 3 times. Phone call today and told will call me back in 30 minutes - I'm not hopeful!

Need these items for school.

Asked for a refund.

Told 24-48 working days for a full refund. That’s an absolute joke. Going in hockey tour this weekend and need to go buy another goalkeeping bag and eat potentially 2 MONTHS for a refund.

Do not use. Stay away.

No shipping details were received 1.5 weeks after ordering a pair of shoes. After following up with HockeyDirect, the shoes were sent but to the wrong address, and I ended up having to make my way to the FedEx distribution centre to collect the package. Shoes were in UK sizing to were incorrect size and returns policy makes it not worth my while to send these expensive shoes back. Customer service was poor and didn't offer any solutions or options on my order. They mentioned that the site states that sizing is UK sizing. The home page, the Size Guide landing page, the Shoes page and the page I purchased the shoes on do not mention that UK sizing is standard on shoes.

I ordered a TK Flower bag on Wednesday evening at almost 12 and I did received it today at noon, so pretty good and fast service. I am sorry for the others but I fortunately had a good service.

Ordered an item back in February, chased weekly no sign of the item and poor excuses.
I would definitely not recommended buying from this company. Don't waste your time

Variety of choices and helpful customer service

This has to be the worst company in business today. I want to go through the timeline as when you say i have had the stick for 3 months that is not quite right
I placed an order for a hockey stick for my son on the 20/11 and paid £30.30 including £6.35 shipping

I received the stick on the 01/12, i gave my son the stick on 25/12 for Xmas. He started to use it when school started 04/01. I contacted Hockey direct when we noticed the stick was damaged on the 27/01 not even 2 months of receiving the stick and just 4 weeks of using the stick. They started to tell me i had to send the stick back so they could assess it. We went back and forth and i sent pictures. My son couldn't use the stick during this time and whilst I was dealing with their very complex return procedure i had to buy him a new stick. I sent the stick back to them on 03/02 and you received it on the 09/02, I had to pay £10 for the postage.

Now they say to me i am not entitled to refund because i have had the stick 3 months that isn't correct if you read the details above.
Then you say i am only entitled to an e-voucher for the stick value £23.95 and not the return postage cost or delivery cost. That means i am out of pocket £16.95 on delivery charges for an item that was faulty. I called them and its terrible their customer service, their arrogance and lack of customer centricty is shocking. Tina didn't care i had to use their stupid evoucher and pay another £6.95 on delivery, most expensive mistake order of my life, what a con. They wont be in business for long, seeing their reviews seems i am not the only one. Tina said its a wooden stick and they break, i said after 4 weeks? 5 uses? she said yes even after that, so beware buying their cheap products as this company wont take care of you, go and buy elsewhere plenty of other good online retailers with better pricing and better customer service. Awful company, terrible service, stay away!

Having purchased some tracksuit pants for a Christmas present the experience I had returning them was unbelievably bad. The email and telephone contact was terrible, the attitude of staff poor, I can't find a positive thing to say.
Having returned the item I was refused a refund as the manufacturers " plastic bag" was not returned, so after a conversation with a very unreasonable chap they returned my item to me!! I find this very odd that they'd clearly prefer not to gain any repeat custom and return items for the sake of a plastic bag? I was told they arrived back to the shop marked but they weren't able to provide photographic evidence and now I have them back I can say they are pristine, so add lies to the list of inadequacies. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company who need some serious lessons in customer service. There is a reason the rating on trust pilot is so poor I only wish I had read it before I made my purchase but I won't make the same mistake again. The only positive thing being they did return my item!!

I bought loads of stuff including a very expensive hockey stick. Was worried as i had never had experiences buying from these guys. After 4 days i was worried as never got any shipping updates and wrote to customer service. They immediately replied informing the reason for the delay and promised to send out in a day or two as one of the items i wanted hasn't arrived yet. Next i know in a day i got the FedEx tracking no and estimated delivery was on the 25th Nov to Malaysia but the item arrived in just 3 days on the 23rd Nov. Items were well packed and well delivered. Great support and fast response from customer service. I just ordered more from them and waiting for the tracking no. A definite recommended retailer.

Had trouble returning a pair of trainers so reached out to customer service. They were condescending, rude, and completely unhelpful. So that's £80 down the drain. Safe to say I will never order from them again.

Shocking! I ordered a rain jacket from these people. They took the money from my account, told me they were getting my order ready to be shipped. 5 days later they told me that they could not fulfil my order but had already dispatched the rest of the order “which will be delivered to you any time by now”. I didn’t order any other items, just the jacket. I wonder what will turn up! How utterly hopeless and inefficient. They actually asked if I’d like a refund for the jacket they never sent! 😳 “Well, what do you think Sherlock?” I nearly said. Apparently I will be refunded in 7-10 days. They took my money on the first working day after I’d placed the order so it really shouldn’t take that long to refund me. I’ll tell everyone I know in the hockey world how rubbish they are. STEER WELL CLEAR!
