The only UK website that stocked the hockey bag we wanted at a reasonable price was this company. I was nearly put off by the terrible reviews but I phoned them and got through on the second attempt. The item was confirmed as being in stock and that it would be sent out straight away and arrive within 2-3 working days. When it didn’t I started to get worried but I phoned, got through straight away and a very pleasant man confirmed the item would be with me any day and sent me the tracking details via email, the item then arrived in 2 days, it was well packaged and in perfect condition.
Very happy and I would use them again!

Ordered hockey trainers,wrong ones sent but a very quick response and then sent the right ones, unfortunately they didn’t fit and I had to send back(at my cost), asked for a refund which was going to take 7-10 days after they accept the return even though payments etc are instant when taking my money,17 days later no refund, after chasing and chasing I finally got my refund. Not a company I’d go back too but only due to a poor returns system. I will say at least my item did arrive unlike other reviews

I purchased some items last Tuesday online and hadn't checked any reviews for the site. By Sunday I still hadn't had any confirmation that the items had been despatched so decided to look at some review sites online and having seen how bad they were began to panic! Admittedly I sent quite a scathing email to the company asking for my order to be cancelled assuming it was a scam site but received one back today saying it couldn't be cancelled because it had been dispatched already. I was totally sceptical and assumed it wasn't going to arrive but sure enough, it arrived today! So it turns out I got my goods, they're exactly what I ordered and all is well!

I ordered a new pair of Adidas field hockey trainers, admittedly without first checking any of the reviews for this website. I was really nervous when I saw some of the reviews on here as they were less than positive, and quite recent too.

I can now say, however, that I am so impressed with the service I have received from Hockey Direct. I ordered the shoes late morning on a Thursday and immediately received an email telling me that my order had been received. Much to my surprise, the item arrived by tracked DX the next morning, less than 24 hours later.

I got a decent discount on these shoes, better than I had found anywhere else and they were delivered far earlier than I anticipated. I am so impressed. Thank you Hockey Direct!

Only wish I had looked at trustpilot before buying from them
They only sent my items after three weeks, had to email and ring them.

Took my payment straight away for a hockey stick then nothing...have sent numerous emails and phoned daily, no response to either and still no stick received two weeks on. Have requested order is cancelled and will claim money back through my bank. There are some great hockey shops out there and unfortunately this is not one of them.

I ordered a stick at the start of last month, got a confirmation email of my order and was told hockey direct will get in touch with me when my order is ready and despatched.

Heard nothing for weeks, rang their phone line multiple times, no one answers and their voice mail is full. Emailed them multiple times asking where my order is no response, I even messaged their FB page and no one responded. Luckily I paid with PayPal so I could get my money back! Awful customer service! Don’t buy from this store!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. £80+ worth of hockey goods ordered in March. No sign of the delivery. They do not respond to email or phone so a friend had to go into the shop. Was promised a full refund but this has not happened. Absolute disgrace of a company and cannot advise people strongly enough to avoid.

I placed the order last Sunday and followed it up with an email detailing the shoes were needed for a Scotland hockey game on Friday night and I would pay extra for shipping to guarantee that . No reply so I called on the Monday to confirm with the morons you employ on the other side of the phones who confirmed i would be receiving them . I called again on the Wednesday to make sure they were dispatched and AGAIN I was told they would be sent expedited delivery to guarantee I received them . Well its Friday 1 hour before pass back and absolutely no sign or even online confirmation they have even been shipped. Your company is an absolute joke and I would advise everyone stay away from them as the company is full of liars . I will be ordering from another company tomorrow and yours will be getting returned !

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY Pretty sure this is a scam company run from an industrial business site, St Albans. The address is listed to a number of likely dodgey companies and the director listed for all of them is the same name. They take your money , don’t send any goods (prob all fake and don’t have stock) don’t respond to emails and have a number of phone lines that ring out. Reported them to trading standards.. awaiting response and will have to claim my £72 back from credit card. How in the UK can they legally trade??

I still havn’t received the hockey boots I ordered for my daughter over a month ago. I chased 2 weeks ago to be told they were coming and still nothing. Do not order from this site.

Ordered a stick, PC mask and ball. After a week with no contact, I emailed to chase. Was told Mask and ball were unavailable, would I like to buy a more expensive one. I asked to refund those items, just send out the stick and was told it will be with me by the end of the week. It was not, followed up the following week and was told would be there in 24-48 hours. Again it was not so I called up this time and was told they'd got the wrong length stick from the manufacturer would I like that one instead. I said no, refund me please. They said ok, then called back again and said they could the right length stick from the manufacturer to me in 24-48 hours. One last chance I thought, ok, but no, then they emailed after to say they couldn't get that stick after all and I would be refunded within 2 days. 10 Days later I have still not been refunded and am now resolving through the Credit Card company. Can't be trusted so definitely avoid. Note as well, they have a number of websites (variations on hockey/cricket/direct). All share the same business address in St Albans. Awful company.

I made an order and heard nothing for 7 days however, I gave them a call asking where my delivery was and they said they were waiting on the shoes to arrive and would give me a call back when they did. 2 hours later got a call back and they said the stick and shoes would be sent out that day. I have now recieved my order 2 weeks later from the order date so not the quickest delivery and needed a little encouragement but good prices and haven't had too much trouble.

I'm glad that I ignored the reviews. I ordered some new hockey shoes on Wednesday morning and they have arrived this afternoon. I received confirmation straightaway of my order. The only thing I would say is that it wasn't clear how long the delivery would take, but other than that, it was a really easy order.

Yes, similar experience to others here. After 12 days, I emailed to find out what had happened to my order. No response. I rang 14 days after my order to be told it had been returned to them by the courier company. Checked my address with them and it was correct. Now being told I'll get it in the next 7 days. We'll see. I don't need this hassle and neither do you.....

As with the other reviews......I ordered a pair of hockey shoes online, they emailed me 4 days later to say that they were out of stock so were going to cancel the order and issue a refund. Over 2 weeks later i have not received the refund and they have stopped replying to my emails.

I ordered a hockey stick gloves and tape ...I thought I'd been scammed no follow up email nowhere on website to see I'd placed my order..I rang them and they answered..they were helpful and polite said my order was due to be delivered Monday which it was...If I cud possibly say it wasn't by any means the fastest delivery service, the lady did say they were waiting on items, but all goods were received. I had gone to direct sport to reorder received delivery next day ..thy need to hv faster delivery service and update their website to show orders received and the progress of items being delivered etc apart from waiting and thinking I was not going to receive my goods ...happy with my order thks

Placed an order 1 month ago exactly (hockey shoes) and still haven't received it. There's been no communication at all. Rang customer service and she said its out for delivery today (coincidence) so i'll patiently wait to see if it arrives. Wish I read the reviews before I ordered.

Wish i had read some of these review before ordering from this company. Ordered a hockey stick showing in stock, only to find out the order could not be fulfilled and to be offered an inappropriate alternative. After asking for a refund i was informed three times its being processed then gave up and raised a dispute through the credit card company

Will never use this company again!
After much promise with a speedy delivery I returned an item and received an email saying I will get a refund within 14 days, we are now well over that so I emailed. Told it would be looked into and several days later, nothing, and still no money in the bank! Totally rip off merchants as you return an item within the allowed time period yet they just keep your money!
