Regarding Perth (UK) tyre centre:
I realised I needed to replace my front passenger side
Tyre due to damage to wall. I didn’t expect to get a new tyre that day for obvious reasons but asked if he would check the trend condition of my rear tyres as I thought I might have to end up having to buy 3 tyres rather than 1
I was amazed at his attitude when informed I would have to make an appointment to have a two minute check done

Halford services wallasey garage , where extremely helpful. I had to pull over as my car just stopped and I thinknit might have run out of petrol. I walked to the nearest petrol station and filled the can but when I got back the hose wouldn't go into petrol cap. Two of the guys there helped me sort it no problem , and they didn't have to. They went above and beyond to help me , get my car going as I had to go get my daughter from gymnastics

Booked my car in for an electrical repair that was carried out well, satisfied with the job done.
What I don't like / appreciate is being given a free 'safety check' to be told I need completely unnecessary brake discs and pads. I verified this with a second opinion check at a different garage as well as my own driving experience.
Watch out for this with Halford Autocentre, always get a second opinion check!

I would not recommend this garage and wish I had never trusted them with my car.
I booked my vehicle in for a cambelt replacement as an investment in the long-term health of the engine. The process was stressful from the beginning, with appointments cancelled at short notice due to staff sickness, causing repeated inconvenience and disruption.
After the work was completed, the car developed engine noises that were not present beforehand. Despite my concerns, the garage never accepted responsibility.
The original cambelt specialist apparently left, and my car was never properly reassessed by anyone with the same expertise. I have been left distressed and facing the consequences of damage that I believe occurred after their work.
I was also disappointed to discover they are not registered with the Auto Ombudsman!
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

read the blurb able to tackle all maintenance problems. no they are not after checking on a simple electrical problem they gave my daughter her money back . she was going to have a service,and she had to drive home with a dodgy car. after being told in front of the aa on phone they could handle the prob the day before.

Free exhaust check resulted in being informed a replacement central and rear system required.

Due to Halfords not being able to obtain the parts I undertake a second opinion for a quote elsewhere and to my surprise there were no issues and no exhaust leak!

The technician also noted lights were checked yet I actually require a replacement one so go figure!

Your autocentre in burnley caused damage to my vehicle by sheering one of the wheel bolts during fitting of 4 new tyres , I have put a complaint in and nobody has got back to me it’s been 7 days and my car is currently not road worthy and the MOT is on 17th May , I would appreciate someone from management to resolve this urgently. The staff were professional, and a special shout-out to the branch manager, Greg, who was very polite, professional, and well spoken. He takes every job seriously and gives full professional details once the work is completed.

Excellent service from start to finish. I would highly recommend them for car repairs, MOTs, servicing, or tyre replacements.

I used the Halford Tyre Centre in Grays for a full service on my car. During the service, I was asked for my locking wheel nut. I checked my glove compartment and confirmed to the garage staff that it was there.
When I collected my car, I noticed on the report that it stated the locking wheel nut was not in the compartment. I immediately asked a member of staff to come and check with me. The locking wheel nut was clearly in the glove compartment, yet the staff member continued to insist that it had not been there when they checked.
I then asked whether the tyres had actually been checked, and I was told that only a visual inspection had been carried out and that the tyre tread was considered acceptable.
What I found most disappointing was the attitude of the staff member. Instead of apologising for the incorrect report, she
Made me feel as though I was being unreasonable or mistaken. At no point was any apology offered.
I find this level of customer service unacceptable. Customers should be treated with respect, especially when an error has clearly been made.

On this occasion was happy that my tyre did not need a new valve £100 as I thought but turned out to be a slow puncture. They checked the valve fixed my puncture £35. Great job very nice man.

MOT - Booking was easy, the member of staff who booked me in was very pleasant and helpful. MOT took 90mins which was fine. My biggest concern was the cleanness of the toilet which was disgusting to say the least, totally unusable. The waiting room was also very dirty! Please, if you are going to offer your customers a waiting area make sure it’s serviceable. Environmental Health would have a field day if you had an inspection. Top marks for the staff the low score is based on the condition of the setting.

I recently had an alternator and battery fitted to my Land Rover Discovery 4 by Halfords Autocentre Kingston Upon Thames. The work was carried out on Thursday 7th May 2026.

On Tuesday 12th May 2026, the vehicle suffered a major failure where the auxiliary belt came off, resulting in loss of power steering, loss of battery charging, loss of air conditioning, and the engine overheating.
I broke down on the M40 motorway and was left waiting approximately 2¼ hours for vehicle recovery, followed by a further 2-hour journey home. The entire situation was extremely stressful and disruptive.
Upon inspection, the alternator appeared to be sitting out of alignment and there appeared to be a mounting bolt missing. The vehicle became undriveable and had to be recovered.

What has disappointed me most is the response afterwards. Despite explaining that I rely on the vehicle daily for my business, I was told I may need to wait 3–7 days for an internal investigation before meaningful assistance could be provided. Being left without a working vehicle for that length of time has had a serious impact on my livelihood.

I am now having the vehicle independently inspected and documented.

At present, I am extremely concerned about the standard of workmanship and the lack of urgency shown given the seriousness of the situation.

Kettering Halfords Auto Centre is awful. Booked paid and then returned after travelling 17 miles for my service to find a hand written note on the door at 08:30 on a Saturday to say due to staffing issues it was closed. Have tried to complain to Halfords customer service numerous times but they don't answer my email and cut me off... I understand that emergencies happen but clearly the note was out on the door was from the previous day so why didn't they contact me and say sorry but we can't do your service. Awful place, customer service a complete joke. Don't ever use Kettering Halfords Auto centre they are worse than awful! 3 months later still waiting for customer services to answer my questions! Avoid this place.

I called in at Halfords Autocentre, Westway, Rugby, yesterday afternoon as an engine warning light suddenly appeared on my car’s display. The reception staff very helpful and offered to do a diagnostic test straight away. The price quoted was extremely fair. The tests they ran on my car were very thorough and completed within 45 minutes. I cannot praise Halfords highly enough. The staff were friendly, polite and professional and the service I received was excellent. I will definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I use the Portsmouth (Mountbatten) autocentre for my car's MOT and annual service. I have done this for several years as I feel I get a good service, and importantly honesty about any additional work the car needs done. I feel Rob and the team do a good job. I don't have any complaints, just a small niggle that I wish there was more parking for car drop offs!

Ipswich Holywells close. The new manager at this branch has transformed my experience at this garage that I know won't dread going in for tyres on my leased van. I won't bore you with how bad it used to be but the improvement justifies me writing a review which I don't often do.

Another professional, friendly and knowledgeable experience with Ethan and his teem. I had a full service and MOT. Good communication, keeping me informed of progress. Unfortunately a few minor issues with the MOT meant a failure. Ethan sorted it all out quickly and I had the free retest done the next day As a premium motor club member the price was reasonable as well. The waiting room with comfortable seating and free coffee drinks machine Well done lads see you next year. Keep up the good work.

Had a new battery fitted and they damaged my car wiring trapping it under the battery clamp and crushing the wires.This caused air suspension to be uneven. They said they would cover the cost of the repair .I had Reedly Audi specialist repair it and paid them £503.90.This was 4 weeks ago and they still haven't reimbursed me.I am still emailing and calling them ,they are so frustrating to deal with.Its an absolutely disgusting way to treat a customer for damage that they caused. Not to mention the inconvenience of being unable to use the car .
