I've just bought my first home that was…
I've just bought my first home that was advertised with Haart Colchester First Time Buyers and I cannot say I'd recommend them at all. When I booked my initial viewing, the estate agent did not turn up (thankfully the owner showed me around). I was then talking to a third party regarding offers, and when my offer was accepted, Haart had no idea and I was the one that told them. When I tried to book a second viewing (after the previous owner had moved out), no one got back to me until I sent a firm email outlining my disappointment in the lack of contact. It took over a week before someone got back to me. When the viewing was finally booked, the estate agent was late to the viewing, and he could not unlock the door to the property for a good 10 minutes. He called the previous owner for advice on how to unlock a door. On completion day, I called to ask if I could come in to collect the keys, and I was told yes. When I arrived, I had to wait before being told that actually I could not collect the keys as the completion had not gone through on their end, so I left empty handed. They called less than an hour later saying it had gone through, so not sure why they said I could come in and collect when I originally called. The estate agent I was dealing with asked for meter readings for the electric and water. I could not find the meter for the water and so called him to ask for help, but he had no idea where the meter was either. If/when I look to sell, I will not be using Haart.
