I should have paid attention to the other reviews. Ordered an item, not in stock- disappointed as special present. Very reluctant to give refund on unfulfilled order, contacted them twice- have to wait 3 weeks to get my money back.

After recently getting back into golf having not picked up a club for “several” years and aimlessly wandering around Blakemere behind my partner, I came across Greg’s shop. Yes it’s very personable, but due to the size, layout and nature of the shop I’d much rather have a conversation while browsing, over wandering around in silence and feeling like I’m imposing. I took Greg up on a lesson which I had this evening. Lovely man, great knowledge and I didn’t find him too salesy. He’s set me some homework to go away and work on and I’ve booked another lesson for two weeks time. If he did make me feel uncomfortable at being too pushy then I believe he’s a strong enough character to take it on the chin if I told him, “no, not for me”. After dealing with robots at American Golf, I’ll just deal with Greg from now on.

Definitely not a friend. I was just trying to have a bit of banter. It doesn’t make it right and I hope you get your refund sorted, However as I said, I’m inexperienced too and didn’t find him too pushy.
A pushy car salesman bully in the disguise as a Pro golfer....
On the 18th April 2021 myself and my family decided to have a stroll around Blakemere craft centre. Whilst I was there I found a little golf shop and decided to have a look. Within seconds of browsing the clubs the owner Greg Nicholson started to give me advice, as he claimed he was a pro golfer and I am a mere novice I listened. Before I knew it he had sold me a full set of ‘Callaway / Spalding’ clubs, which is how they were advertised. He made the point several times of the Callaway make. (Later I found out that Callaway have nothing to do with Spalding) these were just Spalding clubs. All this felt a bit intimidating in a pushy car salesman type of way and before I knew it I’d spent £420 which he insisted we pay immediately although I wasn’t able to have the clubs yet. We left the shop and straight away i felt as if I’d been pushed into buying the clubs so I rang back within 30 mins to ask for a refund. Greg Nicholson refused as he said the clubs have already been specially manufactured to my size, all within 30 mins!!!! Over the coming days I left messages sent emails and used the contact page on his website but no answer ever came. A week later a chirpy, merry Greg left a message on my phone telling my clubs were in and ready!!!!! How insane are you Greg? This guy bullies you, lies to you, takes full payments for goods that are not in stock or ready and will refuse point blank to give you a refund. Please avoid at all costs. If I was Blakemere Craft centre I would seriously look at how this guy trades as it is not good for their image. I am still battling to get my money back and have no clubs!!!! AVOID!!!

You must be a friend of Greg. The set that he sold me for £420 without a bag are on his site as a package with bag for £318!! Plus he passed them off as Callaway, He saw me coming a mile off. I’m new to golf and possibly easy to take advantage off because of that. Does that make it ok??

Ordered a set of PING i210, and collected a couple of days later great service, I have also ordered a crossover 4 iron which will arrive within the next couple of days.
I will definitely order more stuff from Greg in the coming months ahead.
Was struggling to find a new Scotty…
Was struggling to find a new Scotty Cameron, after trolling all the golfing web sites, found Greg Nicholson. Phoned him to see wether he had the one I wanted in stock, he didn't but said that he could get me the two putters I wanted (one for me one for my son) I paid up front which I normally don't do! anyway, right on time Greg phoned me to say they had arrived. Very happy with putters. Great service I my experience.
The perfect shop if you enjoy being upset.
I ordered a Cutter and Buck sweater from Greg Nicholson.When it arrived in a box there was no size tag on the back neck label. I had ordered an XL.
The size had been cut off using a blade or scissors.
In the box there were two cardboard swing tickets with XL in red on a white background. They were lying loose and not attached to the sweater. In my opinion the sweater was size L. I do believe it was a generous large but it did not fit me. I phoned Greg who told me he measures every garment before sending it to a customer which is a claim I find hard to believe.
Greg agreed to take the garment back but he would not credit the postage or the £6.50 he charged for insurance. I have no proof that he did in fact insure the delivery. It took a month and several calls before he credited my card and his arithmetic was faulty as well as he was £5 short.
Despite another call the £5 never was returned.
I now get up an hour earlier every day to dislike this so called golf professional longer.I have difficulty believing the good reviews he has which others concur with my opinion. The number of bad reviews should encourage golf magazines to protect their readers by refusing his ads and suppliers might protect the public by refusing to supply him.

We’re do I start?? What a horrible man! Pushy salesman, rude, didn’t have the product I wanted and pretty much refused to give a refund as I should get the more expensive set he was telling me to buy. He would hold the money until I had come to my senses and realised he was right and I should’ve listened to his advice in the first place. 2 weeks of emails and finally got the refund today. Disgusting customer service. AVOID this shop at all costs!! Rude, arrogant and unpleasant, says he a professional! I have no idea how he is in business. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere people!

I brought a golf trolley off the website, after waiting a week for delivery I found out it wasn't even in stock. Annoying but these things happen. After a email which was ignored and then a phone call, I was told it should be a couple of week before stock was delivered. I understand with the difficulties the world is currently facing this is to be expected. A few week pass and still no trolley, again I understand this is to be expected. Skip forward 4 months and having to make a phone call every couple of weeks to be told shipping has been delayed again, today I finally had the call to say my trolley was in stock. I was then asked if I wanted to upgrade it would only cost £££, I was thankful but wanted the trolley I had waited 4 months for. I was then told not to worry the trolley I ordered was here, and I could have it in either Black/Blue or Black/Red.....neither were the spec I ordered. I was told the spec of trolleys I ordered would probably be in at the end of next month (if I am lucky). I had waited over 4 months for my trolley to still not be delivered! I got the same BS story about it not being their fault but the manufactures, and that they have to send popular colours first. I get the problems in the world currently, but this is a complete joke. Don't advertise and sell something you don't not even have!!!!. PEOPLE SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND HASSLE AND SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

Purchased an Izzo GPS golf watch from this shop. Asked Greg to show me how it works and he didnt know but said instructions are easy.
I paid £120 for this - when i got home i tried to work it to no avail.
6 days later i drove back to the shop and told Greg it dosent work and i want my money back. he refused to return it and instead gave me the reps number to call to sort this out. I said i was not happy with this and wanted my money back - Greg refused again.
A few days later i called the rep who tried to talk me through the way it works. I, unfortunately, am am not good technically so could not get it going. I told th erep i wanted my money returned and his response - you have to take that up with Greg. He sold it to you.
I only had the product 6 days and was well entitled to my money back. I went away on holiday and when i got back i asked a colleague to try to see if he could work it and yes he did get it working.
The point is though that Greg Nicholson absolutely refused to refund my money which i was entitled to within 14 days of purchase. Nor was he able to get it working for me.
I should have read the reviews first before buying. He is a typical salesman and nothing else matters, get the sale done.

Further to review on 2July refund was received on 14 July. My advice on any order you place with this company is telephone first to make sure it is in stock without being hoodwinked into something different and most important before paying for the item.

After ordering a Pro Rider golf trolley I then noticed some very poor reviews of the service provided and became worried.
I should not have been - the trolley arrived when Greg told me it would and I'm delighted with both the product and the service provided.
Have no fears about buying from him.

Not sure if I got a great deal or I've been totally duped, maybe someone can enlighten me.
I ordered a red and white electric pro rider golf trolley on line to match my golf bag, at a very competitive price of £198 which I thought was a good deal,and paid by card straight away.
About a hour later i got a call from Mr Nicholson who give me all the spill regarding who he was and how experienced and knowledgeable he was regarding golf and i had no qualms to disbelieve the man as he was the pro and owner of the store.
He advised me that if i was going to play 2 or 3 times a week, ( I'm retired ) that i should upgrade the battery to a lithium one as the battery that comes with the cart is a lead battery and wouldnt last the distance.
He said the cost would be a further £99 and he would upgrade the trolley to a metallic Mercedes silver trolley which being totally ignorant i thought he was being so helpful and knowledgeable, I agreed and paid the extra amount. I asked him when it will come and he said within a few days, and to be fair, that it did.
The £99 went up to £110 for some reason, or that's what was taken from my account, but hey ho, what's £10 when your expecting a brilliant trolley to come anyways it turned up and yes the trolley looked great, not any red, but nice silver paintwork as stated.
The problem was that the battery that came with it was a lead battery and not a lithium that he advised and charged extra for.
I got on the phone to him and asked if he had sent the lithium battery separately and he claimed he never said a lithium as that would be £2-300 more, then he said that lead batteries come in 3 different grades and that battery was the middle grade and will more than survice.
My after thought was and still is, have I been totally duped or what, as I paid £310 for neither the original trolley I ordered or the lithium battery that I didn't need, can anybody advise or put me straight?
Do not buy from this shop
Bought an item online. Returned it on 30 December within 14 days of receipt. Tracking information shows it was signed for. In line with the online distance selling regulations a refund should be issued within 14 days. Its now been 5 weeks and despite a number of emails he won't return my money. When he does respond he makes excuses such as "the request is with the accounts team"
Very poor customer service
Ordered a pair of size 7 shoes then never heard a thing till I called to see when they were coming. He never had them yet accepted order and cash ! Being trying to get a refund since before Xmas and there is always an excuse why no refund. I would def avoid. About to contact my credit card company !!

Want to balance up some of the reviews on here. Bought set of irons, woods and a bag from Greg last month. Had a "fitting" in the shop, which is a measure rather than a club try out. The "measure" by Greg came up with the same results that I had had from a Ping Demo day two weeks earlier in terms of loft, grip size and club length. Some tweaks made at my request and bought a mix of new and nearly new clubs to fit my budget. The new clubs were comparable price wise to American golf ....and if I can, I like to support small independent traders. Greg is knowledgeable and helpful....lots of sales skills apparent which may put some folk off. But the goods arrived, well presented and on time. I am a long standing golfer, 12 handicap, so know my way around golf gear.....happy with the deal and service I got.
