Such an amazing team!

I had my first training course with Go Freediving in early July 2024, then went back as a returning student for a day a couple of weeks later, and have just been back with a buddy on our own for the first time. Make no mistake, getting started is incredibly challenging and can be overwhelming, as there is so much to learn and to think about but the Go Freediving team have been so supportive, encouraging and enabling, I could have wished for better people to guide me through the process.

They have a wealth of material online too (videos, guides), to prepare you for your first session and to go back and checking in on afterwards.

This is a very friendly, safe and nurturing company that seeks to get the best out of anyone wanting to explore the world beneath the surface, and my experience of the instructors, Pash and Jackie, is that they incredible at making space for each individual to practice and progress at their own pace.

Can't recommend them highly enough - you will be surprised by what you can do!

The instructor was wonderful, very experienced and tailored her approach to each freediver's needs & level. The RAID freediver course I did is a safe and enlightening introduction to freediving with lovely people. Also, the equipment they provide is first-rate.

Really well organised training in the water. Clear instruction and plenty of opportunity to progress at your own level and pace. Very friendly.

Absolutely brilliant! The instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable. The course was tailored to suit the ability of each student and the atmosphere was relaxed. I definitely recommend Go Freediving and will be doing more courses in the future!

Really excited to have done the RAID Freediving course with Go Freediving. Everything about it was brilliant and very well organised. Mike was a great instructor who made things fun, was really relaxed (including when I dropped my weight belt in the lake in the first 5 mins and he had to dive down to get it!) and when needed he broke everything down into smaller steps or explained things in different ways.
Safety is top priority and well delivered. You learn buddying from the start but the instructor also follows you down on all your dives. The equipment is really good quality especially the wetsuits which made for a much nicer experience in cold water. I would recommend doing Emma's breathing optimisation classes which are available as part of the excellent pre course materials and also watching Frenzel equalisation videos before you go on the course. Although like many people I struggled with equalisation in the water, I felt by learning a bit before the course I was familiar with what I should be doing and so it wasnt all completely new. Emma took the time to talk to us at the end of the course about any worries and it was reassuring to know that even some of the best freedivers have taken a long time to master equalisation. Everyone at Vobster is really friendly and along with the Go Freediving team make you feel like you belong and they are really glad to have you there. Highly recommend.

Max (my Son) and I both wanted to say a massive thank you for an incredible weekend. Max says it was his most amazing Birthday ever. 14 years old on Saturday 30th. Over the RAID Free diver weekend, I can tell you without hesitation, that he found his passion. He achieved a depth of 7.8m on the Sunday. He was so chuffed. I managed 6m which is more than I through I would on my first experience with freediving. For me as a Dad, to find something incredible that I can do with my Son, well, the words are hard to describe how good that feels.
Pasha, our Go Freediving instructor, enabled everyone to progress at their own individual pace. There was absolutely no pressure to match what others can do, and I really loved that atmosphere. Pash took each person on their own journey of freediving discovery. Safety was paramount and the importance of ‘buddying’ when freediving was central to everything we did. Everyone was treated incredibly well, and the Vobster Quay site where the course is held is amazing location. If you enjoy snorkelling when on holiday and always wondered about getting deeper and closer to the action, then Freediving is for you. No heavy scuba tanks and kit. Just you, your buddy, and the water. There is nothing like it. And if you are going to do this, then without hesitation, I recommend Go Freediving.

I attended the Level 1 Freediving course with Go Freediving at Vobster. Emma and Pash were both excellent and very patient instructors, clearly with a wealth of experience between them.

Despite having serious equalisation issues with my left ear, it was a really enjoyable course that was conducted in a relaxed and informal manner without pressure (Haha).

I would highly recommend Go Freediving.

I've had a passing interest in freediving for a few years and finally decided to book a course this year. Right from booking Emma and team set very clear expectations that to get the most from the course, you have to engage with the pre-course learning which is all set out very clearly and the team are on hand if you have any questions.

Doing all the prep beforehand meant that we could spend as much time as possible in the water. I had imagined that the course would involve a load of theory to cover on the first day before getting wet, but this wasn't the case. Almost all of the rest of the learning took place in the water, with examples and regular feedback on the techniques we were progressing through.

The teaching was amazing, focussing on what was required to progress safely and efficiently, supporting us all at whatever level we were at and progressively building confidence as a free diver but importantly also as a buddy. We all made more progress than we probably thought possible at the start of the weekend!

The venue (Vobster Quay) is perfect - good facilities, relatively sheltered, lovely fresh water, good visibility and so much to see under the surface - sunken planes, boats, old quarry machinery and more. The equipment provided by Go Freediving was everything we needed and was all in really good condition.

The course was overall just an incredibly challenging, exciting, fun weekend with lovely people. I can't wait to go again.

If you're thinking about booking a freediving course as a beginner or if you've had some experience before and are looking for some more training, you won't find better than Go Freediving.

Every year, I do three new things to get me out of my comfort zone. Over time, Go Freediving has represented several of these. So I went with a very good buddy to enjoy the Blue Shark experience.

The trip appealed because we wondered if it was possible to overturn misconceptions about at least some species of shark.

From the getgo, our instructor Pash Baker gave very clear instructions about equipment needed, the likely timetable, probable location of the shore dive and the outline for Sunday taking a small rib out to dive with blue sharks. Of course, they don’t always come to order but they are worth the wait. Blue sharks are amazingly elegant and extraordinarily powerful swimmers. After they scent the bait (very stinky by the way) they come and investigate somewhat timidly, checking out the ninja divers dressed in black.

Would we do it again, yes absolutely but I personally would like just a bit more space to put on my fins not being quite as agile as the more youthful members of the group. By the way, Andy was a good and competent skipper and Pash was an excellent instructor. Overall well organised and very enjoyable experience.

I really enjoyed the freediving course despite not quite mastering some of the techniques.  Kieran was really supportive and made it a fun learning experience.  He also handled the differences in abilities of the group really well – I think everyone felt they got equal attention and opportunity to push themselves to what they wanted to achieve but without any pressure to do anything you didn't feel ready for. Vobster is a lovely venue with great facilities. The access to on-line resources before and after the course is excellent. It helped to prepare for the actual course and will enable me to build on the feedback I received

I enrolled on the 2-day RAID Freediver Course in July/August 2023 and it was an incredible course and went way above (or should I say deeper) than my expectations.

After looking online at various courses, I went with Go Freediving as I felt they ticked all the right boxes in terms of what I was looking for, which was about being safer in the water (as I was a bit of a noob) and learning skills for freediving (as I had a planned underwater shoot coming up). The teaching team were amazing, and their guidance was detailed and at all times, they were extremely supportive. So much so, that by the end of day one, I was able to hit 13.2 meters. At the end of day one, they provided further online resources to better prepare myself for day two, in which I was better able to implement the frenel technique for equalization. This allowed me to be more comfortable and flexible in the water. So much so, that by the end of day two, I was able to dive 10+ meters and swim through a plane.

Altogether, it was an incredible experience, and so enjoyable, that I have already signed up for a follow up session.

I highly recommend Go Freediving. A great experience with a fantastic team.

Absolutely amazing experience. I did the open water free diving course 8-9 July 2023. Wayne was our instructor, who was very knowledgeable, patient and had a great personality. Course has a good balance of safety and fun dives. Having scuba dived for many years I would highly recommend opening your eyes to ditching the tanks and taking a big gulp of air. Go free diving prioritises high instructor / diver ratio which is absolutely key to learning what it is all about.

If you thinking about doing something amazing, try freediving with Emma and her team! My experience with them started in 2021, and it truly changed my life. It took me a while to pass my skills and Emma has been always very supportive, positive and encouraging. The team is very professional and well organised what is very reassuring. When I finally decided that I am ready to have my skills signed off, I was pretty anxious. Instructor Mike made all the difference! His relaxed, kind and gentle approach made me at ease. Mike is not only very knowledgeable but also has that precious skill of being able share his knowledge the way it sticks in the heads of some anxious and distracted students like me :D He is very attentive instructor and even though there were another 3 students, I felt all the time that he paid close attention to all of us, giving us detailed feedback we were able to learn from. The last weekend not only I finally passed my skills on his watch but also my irrational fear of certain diving attraction has evaporated.. Mike, thank you so much for taking us to the crushing works, you did the magic!!! Honestly, these guys are the best :D

Thanks to Emma of GoFreediving and instructors Mike & Pash. I had a fabulous weekend of learning a new skill which has given me a small amount of knowledge and am buzzing to learn more & practice.

Learning to free dive is hands down one of the best things I have ever done. @go_freediving were so friendly and informative, making the experience so enjoyable. I felt completely safe in the hands of Mike and Pash. Their positivity is a breath of fresh air. The location of the course at Vobster quay is just beautiful.
Emma has made a fabulous business which has so many different avenues to help broaden your horizon. Couldn’t recommend go free diving more.

My 19 year old son and I had a great weekend together learning to freedive. He was very confident and I was quite nervous and we both wanted to gain different things from the course. We loved every minute, the instructors managed to tailor the course to each individual's needs; it was really good fun, exciting but safe, professionally run and went by in a flash. Did my RAID freediver course last weekend and had an amazing time. I was feeling nervous and was put at ease as soon as I arrived and got chatting to the team. My instructor (Mike) was brilliant, really encouraging and inspired me with confidence. The rest of the team were friendly and helpful and I met some really great people.

I have just come back from my RAID freediver course and am still buzzing. The course was taught excellently and all the instructors and staff were so friendly and accommodating. I was on my own and quite out of my comfort zone but within 5 minutes of getting there and chatting to everyone I was very much at ease and having a great time. I cannot recommend doing a course with Go Freediving enough and I can't wait to get back in the water with them!

We always wanted to try freediving and wanted a challenge, but had no experience. The Gofreediving team were are friendly and supportive. They provide all the equipment and divide you into smaller groups of 3 or 4. Our instructors Leanne and Tim were really experienced and knowledgeable, and we’re able to push those in the group who were able to dive deeper, but also individual support and instruction to those who were slower to pick it up (that was me😁). It was a great weekend and really worth the time and expense, especially if you want a good start to freediving.
