My father passed away suddenly January 2025. I sent the correct documents to Godiva stating this & that I’m executor or the will. January 2026 I called as the house required a new roof, all that was requested was an advancement for this ( I haven’t missed a payment since his passing etc)
I was told they had spoken to my deceased father (1 year after passing) & I would need to pay £5000 as I’m breaking the contract in place with them. After escalating this complaint I’ve since found out, 1. Godiva NEVER processed the government documents correctly regarding my father’s passing 2. They LIED & stated my father signed an e signature document emailed to him after his death which tied my into this contract. 3. No mention regarding lying about speaking to my deceased father a year after his death 4. As the contract was incorrect for the passed year (unbeknownst to me) I’m now in arrears as they have changed it to a variable with back payment required
Don’t ever go near this company. 0 sensitivity training, falsify legal documents, lie about who they’ve spoken to through security checks & zero regard for anyone’s wellbeing. Disgusting

Why are Godiva waiting until 1st Feb…
Why are Godiva waiting until 1st Feb 1026 to reduce their Tracker mortgage Rate, after the base rate cut on 18th Dec 2025. It should be next day or at most from 1st Jan 2026. Surely that cant be right? they are basically getting extra margin at the expense of customers. I will contact the financial ombusdman

Great Customer Support Team on Remortgaging
I've had to contact Godiva to arrange two new fixed rate BTL mortgages as a result of their previous fixed term mortgages coming to an end. Paula was excellent, knowledgeable and provided a great selection of options with extremely competitive interest rates.
Godiva is by far the best BTL mortgage broker I've worked with. 5 star service every time.
Good for new borrowers but existing borrowers definitely not…
If you are a first time buy to let borrower then Godiva are efficient. However for existing borrowers remortgaging, further advance indeed anything else then they are not to be recommended and their timescales are lengthy. They will never move beyond rigid criteria which they only disclose after weeks of delay

Not considerate
Not considerate to customer circumstances. First time to miss payment due to a bereavement and being abroad. Emailed several times and called upon returning and was told money will be collected automatically which has been done successfully. So why this letter yet payment was done. I am not impressed

Our dealings with this bank have been excellent. Waiting time on the phone has not been as painful as some have expressed. Called to redeem our mortgage and was advised to pay my allowable 10%, first, then got our redemption figure. Who says they are greedy. Not many banks would be that helpful. Thanks you so much. Every bit helps. And because we managed to make the redemption payments two days earlier, we got a refund. Kudos 👏. I'm now just hoping the the Land Registry don't take forever to remove the charge on the deeds.

Had a mortgage with them for two years and they've always been very helpful and efficient giving me information over the phone or sending stuff out. Getting all the paperwork sorted initially was pretty painful but maybe this would be the same elsewhere? Just discovered my mortgage was 2 years and 3 months which has made me happy - I thought it was expiring in December!
Customer Service Agent - so helpful!
I called customer service today and they were really helpful. The guys name was Florin and he really went the extra mile to sort out my issue with a change of address. Lovely telephone manner and I felt valid and listened to as a customer.
Special mention for Florin, his manager should give him some sort of bonus in my opinion.
Excellent Customer Service
I recently had cause to contact Godiva Mortgages regarding a question over the completion date for porting my mortgage to a new property. I've spoken to a number of personnel at Godiva during the period my issue was being investigated and have to say that Godiva have been one of the best for responsiveness and helpfulness. I'm very impressed.
One person however stood out above all the excellent personnel I've dealt with at Godiva and that is Hannah Ward. She has listened, taken action, been open and honest and always responded back to me, well within the time I was expecting. This is the first time in many years that I've experienced service from someone who showed they really care about the job they do, the customers they help and the company they work for.
If Godiva employ and retain staff as good as Hannah I will certainly be keeping my business with them.
It's sad to say that I don't often come into contact with people who go out of their way to provide good service but this instance has been an exception and one that I felt is so worthy of praise.

I have been a loyal customer of this organisation for ten years and they have been pretty good up until now. My recent experience with the Buy to Let remortgaging process has been abysmal with them telling me false information first of all, taking more money than they are entitled to and when I complained they have not only been rude and uncaring but one person openly told I would have to wait until after they had had their holiday for it to be sorted. Vile company, not trustworthy so avoid at all costs.

Wanted to ask them to stop sending correspondence to person who no longer lives at my address. I’ve been sending mails back to sender, clearly stating addressee has moved etc. for nearly 2 years.
They keep sending sensitive information to wrong address. I understand that’s it’s mostly up to account holder to keep details up to date but Godiva won’t even make a note under that person’s account to check for correct address or do anything about it really.
Total joke
Web site down and told 30 min wait to talk to advisor. 45 mins later and no answer.
No communication
Nobody picking up the phone even if waiting for hours, and no email address to send. is this a real mortgage company or a joke?
