These guys are not to be trusted
These guys are not to be trusted. I returned the car on time and all in good order except the petrol was not full. They charged me for an extra day, and will not refund me or respond to my requests for a refund. They also hold on to your £400 deposit for 28 days. Beware of this company. They should be shut down.

Each time you book a car on Getaround, a security deposit is required. This means that depending on the car category and the rental details, a specific amount is blocked in your bank account.
The security deposit is automatically released 5 days after the end of your rental, provided no incident has been reported by the owner of the vehicle. In case of cancellation, the security deposit is released immediately.
Once the deposit is released, we no longer have any access to it, therefore we have no influence on when it will appear in your bank account. If you have any questions about how long it may take for your deposit to appear in your account, please contact your bank to request further information.
Our Customer Support team will reach out to you directly to follow up with relation to the additional day you have been charged.

Very disappointed about the service
Very disappointed about the service: put penalties for missing fuel though we put full tank (same as the start when receiving the car), for half an hour late return.

In case of late return of the car, you have to warn the owner as soon as possible. If you know you will be late to give the car back, make a request to extend the rental, otherwise you will not be covered by our insurance. If you return the vehicle later than expected, you'll owe 15€ (£15 in the UK) per started hour of lateness. A grace period allows for the vehicle to be returned up to 29 minutes before charging additional fees. Past 30 minutes, a late fee is applicable and charged by the hour.
In most vehicles, the fuel level will also be recorded automatically by our device. Otherwise, you will need to input the fuel level manually at check in and check out. For rentals with automatic fuel readings, you’ll only be charged or refunded for fuel if the difference between the fuel level at checkin and checkout is equal or more than 5%.
