They overcharged me and the customer…

They overcharged me and the customer sales rep, Melissa, was so rude about it. I have never experienced such a rude and condescending customer sales rep in my life. They charged me 190$ for contacts that are listed on their website as 51$ a box. Complete scam. Melissa would not refund the difference, and said I can return them for a PARTIAL refund. They also shipped the contacts in a flimsy envelope, but expect me to purchase a box to send them back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If all goes right, you'll be fine but if you have any issues their customer service is TERRIBLE.

EDIT: I NEVER once threatened you guys! And you did NOT offer to not charge a restocking fee!!!! I was nothing but cordial!!!! LIARS!
I can post the emails if you'd like??? So everyone can see that you just posted a complete lie!?!?! BUYERS BEWARE.

The customer purchased 30 pack boxes of contacts. He emailed to say he wished to return them. We agreed and advised him to purchase the correct contacts and he could return the product he purchased with no restocking fee. The customer then insisted we sell him the contacts for the same price as a 90 pack box of contacts which due to the price difference we could not. He became quite belligerent and insisted we misled him with a picture of a 90 pack box on the 30 pack box product page on our website. We provided him a links to both products so he could see this was not the case. He refused to purchase the product he originally wanted, insisted we sell him $190. of contacts for $102. and threatened us with bad reviews, attorneys and court action, etc. We provided him with return instructions which did include a small restocking fee, he then left this review. At no point were we anything but cordial nor would there have been any restocking fee whatsoever if the customer had purchased the product he said he wanted originally.

Many toric, that is contact lenses for astigmatism, have for a single product over 15,000 possible prescription combinations. Many are stock combinations, however some prescriptions are so complex and seldom ordered they are basically custom contact lenses that have to be specifically manufactured to order. In fact some combinations are so custom that if worn in both eye may well be unique to that particular customer in the entire USA. This customer's prescription was so uncommon it did take 3 weeks to verify the prescription, place the order with the manufacturer, wait while the contacts were made to order and deliver to the customer. We did our absolute best to deliver the contacts as rapidly as possible and sincerely apologize that delivery was not as fast as expected.

Very pleased repeat customer

This is the fourth order from ContactLens.com and while I had found a cheaper price on some lenses elsewhere I contacted them and not only matched the price but they beat the other price altogether! Fantastic turnaround and prompt service is always experienced. Another successful order! Thank you ContactLens.com!!

Good contacts and prices. Average customer service.

I have ordered contacts lenses 5 times from this company. I have always ultimately been happy with the outcome. If it wasn't for the variable customer service, it would be a 5 star review.

Shipping is reasonable, prices are good. Their problem is poor communication. Trying to find out its status was difficult. No answer to emails (until after my second one) and only got voice mail when I called and had no call back. After finally getting to connect, they did a fine job.

They need to staff up so customers can talk to a live person when they call. That would greatly improve their reviews.

NEW: Response from seller was reasonable. My main point was about communication and wanting to talk to a live person to find out order status.

The order was placed late on a Friday before a 3 day weekend, RX verification began on Tuesday, finished verification and shipped Wednesday, tracking was emailed the moment the order shipped, upgraded from free shipping to Priority Mail at our expense and delivered 3000 miles away Friday USPS tracking number 9405510200830903172711.

Outstanding Service and Price

Happy Customer!

I've shopped at Contactlens.com for years but had an issue recently when I mistakenly ordered minus power contacts instead of the plus I wear. i didn't notice my mistake until they arrived. When i did i emailed and customer service responded within the hour! I repurchased the correct contacts, returned my incorrect order and was refunded in full within a week. Thank you Contactlens.com you make it all so easy!

HORRIBLE

This was horrible. I guess this is what I get for trying to order discounted contacts. I never received my contacts even though the USPS said it was delivered. Their tracking number doesn't allow you to file a claim for the year of contacts I just ordered so your package is not insured. Usually when you purchase goods a good vendor make sure it arrives to you regardless of the third party that is involved. All they did was copy and paste things from the USPS website and took no responsibility in making sure their goods are delivered.

The order was shipped insured with USPS. USPS insurance stipulates their insurance ends when tracking shows the order was delivered. In 2019 the only insurance available for USPS shipments was USPS insurance. Legally USPS is correct, when a package's tracking shows delivery to the ship to address ownership of the shipment passes to the addressee and the addressee is solely responsible for their order. With the rash of "porch pirate" thefts shipping insurance has evolved. Currently all our shipments are insured regardless of tracking, if it's not received by the customer insurance pays for the order to be replaced.

WORST SERVICE

If I could give a zero I would. I realized immediately that I had selected + instead of - on my prescription and my chance found the phone number for the company I was told my a very rude customer service person I needed to email them and it would be taken care of. I did so and 2 weeks later I still received the wrong order. When I attempted to call there was no answer so I emailed again 48 hours later still no answer. So now I'm stuck with a pair of useless contacts I cant use :( Worst service ever!

In accordance with our return policy customers can return anything as long as the boxes are in resalable condition for any or no reason for 30 days or for a change of prescription for up to 90 days. We do handle all issues and returns by email so there are no mistakes. We are not available by phone on weekends when we are closed but other than that answer phone calls all day. The incorrectly ordered plus power contacts were replaced with the correct minus power contacts.

Very Good Experience

it was easy to place my order. Found my lenses within seconds. They took care of everything else and sent me my lenses to my house with no problem few days later. Defiantly will purchase from them again.

Use them only if you don't need contacts

I've placed a couple of orders before with no complaint other than a memory of coarse, bordering on hostile, customer service. That general tone hasn't changed. The impression that I was barely being tolerated was palpable. It seemed like the representative (partner?) would just as likely tell a customer to go f**k themselves as he would help them place an order.
The problem I still have is that I was left hanging on an order that was charged immediately to my FSA account. After 10 days of waiting and multiple unanswered requests for status updates they canceled my order. Now our FSA account has been frozen, awaiting verification of legitimate medical expense, due to a product that was never received.

There are too many other choices when it comes to online contacts. These guys are well below average when it comes to customer service, and their prices are neither the best nor worth the kind of hassles that substandard customer service creates. To cap it off they may screw up your FSA account.

These guys are perfect if you enjoy working way too hard to get what you paid for, and if you don't get it.....you may still have work left chasing down your refund.

Despite our best efforts we could not verify the prescription for the order placed as his doctor's office had closed. We emailed and called numerous times to try to obtain his current doctor's information without success. A contact lens prescription is a Federal Drug Prescription and without a copy of the written prescription the order must verified with the doctor before we are legally allowed to complete the order. With no doctor's information and no response from the customer despite our best efforts after several weeks the only option was to cancel the order. We answer calls and take phone orders all day and of course we are happy to help anytime.

Good Experience

Ordered from E-Contacts.com. Saved alot of money, had them in two days, and they even changed the prescription to the correct one after I made a typo on the prescription. Good value, no hassle, and quick shipping. What more can you ask for!

Great Prices & Service

"i can't praise the service i received enough. I was unsure of the exact contacts I needed to order and they took the time to call my doctor, get the prescription and then called and helped me correctly place the order. It must have taken a hour of their time and it wasn't a very large order, they were fantastic. The order was delivered in less than a week and for way less then my doctor wanted to charge me. I told all my friends and now they buy from Contactlens.com too. Keep up the great work guys!

Contacts deliver 1 month after order. Customer service useless.

I called because my order was taking too long. When I reached them they let me know it was taking long because they didn't have the contacts in stock and it would take 3 weeks for them to arrive and then it would be shipped.

I am stranded with no contact because my last ones already are old.

They actually did have half of my order in stock and I asked them to ship me that independently of my other eye contacts, and they refused because "It doesn't make economic sense for us"!

Wow. So rude.

I even asked, out of desperation, if I could pay extra for the shipping of the contacts they did have in stock and they wouldn't even respond to my email now.

Terrible company, go with another company, this one will only be trouble if you run into any sort of snag with your order. Staff are rude and courteous.

The customer ordered contacts that are so complex there are literally 207,000 possible combinations for the single product. They take 6 weeks to custom order. We were virtually the only company selling such a complicated product and decided after several similar complaints it would be better to let doctor's fill orders for this product and discontinued selling it. Lesson learned.

Terrible Experience

Unbelievable experience! Extremely rude and even hostile when I asked to return contact lenses. The woman I dealt with was rude every step of the way. When I asked to return my order, she became aggressive with me. She kept giving me the run around and would not be direct regarding how to return the order. When I finally said I would not continue the ridiculous banter around returning the order... if you won't allow the return, just say so... A very pleasant man responded, basically giving me the bird. ... long story- short- RUN from this company! If you want to return something, forget about it! They don't want to honor their return policy and they give you a really hard time if you ask to return. They were rude before I even asked to return it. Delivery took longer than it does from the other major retail sites. Don't bother with them. It's not worth saving a few dollars. I got the impression that they are a mom and pop shop, trying to look like a big retailer online (minus the customer service.) RUDE RUDE RUDE ... bad service, slow service and questionable product!

Our CSR Melissa answered this call and honestly she's so nice we doubt she's even capable of being and hostile; impossible. We NEVER give customers the "run around" when it comes to returns however boxes of contacts cannot be returned once opened for both health and safety reasons nor do we resell returned opened boxes of contacts for the same reason. The manufacturers dictate policy for opened boxes of contacts, they refuse to allow returns of opened boxes and because of this the policy is industry wide. No online contact lens retailer allows return of opened boxes because we cannot return them to the manufacturer for credit. That said both Acuvue and Bausch & Lomb allow customers to return open boxes of contacts directly to the company for refund and of course we provide that information to those customers that purchase their products. As far as questionable product all the contacts we sell are FDA approved and are purchased from the manufacturers of those products.
