Inaccurate description, bad customer service

Purchased aerelle softflex pillows, as the image shows 2 pillows and product name is 'Pillows', I expected to receive 2 pillows. Company refusing refund, even though they are legally obliged to describe the product accurately.

Update 14/05 - The company have responded to my poor review, claiming the packaging has been opened and therefore cannot be returned. This is not the case at all, all packaging remains in tact and the item completely unused.

Dear Alex, we are so sorry you feel this way about your order from us, you ordered a special made to order pillow with a filling that you cannot purchase on the high street, it was delivered on time with no issues. Nowhere does it say that you get two pillows with each order, this is the first time anyone has felt mis lead by the wording, we do sell pillows that come in pairs and it states on the selling page pairs and you will received two pillow per pack. As you had opened the protective packing and used the pillow and that it was made to order means we cannot accept it back for a refund. Kind regards Bedlinen Direct.

Very nice super king fitted sheets

Bought two super king very nice sheets in ivory to match existing white company set where the sheet had worn out. The delivery was very prompt and the sheets are very good quality and very reasonably priced - I would definitely recommend and buy again from this company

Good quality products

I have ordered several things now and I have to say the quality is good. Very pleased with the fitting on the mattress. I requested a quick delivery as we are moving and they did. Good customer service.

European goose feather pillows

When my original choice was unavailable I purchased a pair of European goose feather pillows from Bedlinen Direct and have been more than happy with the product, the staff were very helpful and delivery was within the advised time. I would certainly consider using this company again.

Good shopping experience

Bought extra deep brushed cotton bedding that's super soft and are indeed 'extra deep' for my huge mattress. It fits perfectly. Also bought brushed cotton Oxford pillow cases and they're also very generous and super soft. Very happy with purchase. No issues with delivery. Would use them again

We had a problem with delivery from UK…

We had a problem with delivery from UK to France due to a non-communicating customs office. The shipment was returned to the UK and we had it shipped with a different shipment. Received it with a week. Great customer support and a good product for a reasonable price.

A Disappointing Experience with a Pillow Purveyor

I must say, I find this shop’s policy rather vexing—no exchanges or refunds on pillows, and nowhere on their website is this made sufficiently clear, at least not to my discerning eye. I purchased the Surrey Down Goose Feather and Down Pillow Medium, removed it from its packaging, gave it a gentle fluff, returned it to the bag, and tested it briefly, ensuring my head never made direct contact with the pillow itself. Alas, it proved too soft for my liking. When I enquired about exchanging it for the firmer option, I was informed, with all politeness from Samantha, that it was deemed “used” and thus ineligible for a swap. How perplexing! One suspects they rather hope customers will purchase both pillows—one for slumber, perhaps another for decorative purposes or gifting—since there’s no opportunity to assess their suitability beforehand. I’m terribly disappointed, I must confess. Had I perused the reviews prior to my purchase, I might have spared myself the chagrin of owning a pillow destined to languish unused. A most unfortunate affair.

ps: I never did venture to try the pillow outside the bag. They even had the cheek to attempt flagging this review as defamatory—well, Trustpilot, wouldn’t hear of it. And why should they? Do take care with this company—proceed with caution, and perhaps a raised eyebrow!

Balance of order now overdue and no communication to keep me updated.

I have used this company before without any problem but this time the service has been poor.
I ordered goods 27th Dec and received a partial delivery the first week in January. There was no paperwork or email to say the order wouldn't be delivered in full or listing the items which were to follow.
I emailed on the 6th of January to enquire about the balance and I was told that it would be shipped end of January at the latest. It's now the 6th February and I've had no contact since and the goods still haven't been shipped, to my knowledge. I've now emailed again for a further update.
This is pretty poor service for me having to chase outstanding goods rather than the company informing me of any delays and keeping me updated.

I am so sorry but the item you were waiting for was a Made To Order item and it did say that on the website when you ordered

We did inform you that there was a manufacturing back log due to the time of year and that under normal circumstances it can take upto 3 weeks

We do apologise again for the extra week or so due to the backlog and for your frustrations on this occasion

Terrible company

Terrible company
Took my money sent an invoice
Told me there would be a delay no response for weeks
I had to email them to get an update to be told my payment didn’t go through and I should check my account

I have asked them to prove that at the POS it was rejected as they will have proof but I am not being given it

It’s not my responsibility to check my bank

I have a receipt for goods ! I expected my goods and not to be chasing

Avoid this company
Terrible customer service and I have no product and as far as I’m concerned they took my money unless they can prove other wise as I have a receipt

This has to be the most ridiculous review I have ever seen, we emailed to say that her payment had been declined and would she like to make payment another way. The email was sent the same day on the 9th November, we received an email on the 13th December asking where the goods were? We replied that the payment did not go through to which she she emailed I have a receipt email, which turned out to be the non payment email I sent last month. She now says she should not have to check her bank to see if she paid and we should have just sent the goods, I checked our payment system 6 times for her and no payment is showing. Surely anyone with any sense would check with their bank to see if they had paid before writing such a scathing review, this is the trouble with Trustpilot, it is just a platform for people to vent when they feel aggrieved and is often genuinely not the case as in this review.

Fast delivery

Fast delivery, ordered a whole new bed set including new duvet & pillows & bedline direct did not disappoint! I have slept amazing ever since my delivery, will most certainly be ordering from here again in the future! Thankyou so much :)

400count bedlinen

The 400count bedlinen, I purchased, is absolutely beautiful. It feels lovely on the bed. Delivery was prompt and the customer service was excellent. I will definitely be recommending this website to my family and friends.

Why do you not clearly label which side…

Why do you not clearly label which side is which TOG rating? It seems totally obvious that if you buy a partner duvet (in my case one that is 4.5 TOG on one side and 9 TOG on the other), that you want to see easily which side is which.
Our Bedlinen Direct duvet however has got a label for 4.5 TOG on the very same edge of the duvet, just a couple of feet away from the label saying "9 TOG". It just makes no sense!
Especially as you cannot easily tell by looking at the filling which side is the warmer of the two.
For £152 for a duvet it would not be too much to ask.

This review is in respect of Coolmax 2.5 tog duvets purchased last month. Don't waste your money - they are dreadful and in my opinion not fit for purpose as they do not stay on the bed! According to some Q&A's they can be used without a cover?! Makes no difference with or without a duvet cover, they do not stay on the bed. Customer service is non-existent even if you do spend nearly £500 with this company - definitely won't be recommending to anyone.

We are very surprised to receive a 1-star review as we feel this is unfair as we have delivered a made to order product to you that was clearly as advertised on the website.

It was delivered on time and awe have answered all your queries in a timely manner.

The quilt is a very lightweight summer 2.5 tog duvet and Coolmax is a very smooth fabric but this is the first ever complaint we have had that is similar to yours and as you have been using the product for a while before telling us of your issue, there is unfortunately nothing that we can do as the manufacturer will not take back a made to order product that is not faulty.

We feel that your 1-star review is very unfair because you are unhappy with the product and want to return it but I am afraid we cannot accept used goods back as they are not faulty.

Be warned that these duvets DO NOT STAY ON THE BED! After purchasing and experiencing this problem all night, I subsequently read that they can be used WITHOUT a duvet cover - not only is this unhygienic in my view, despite them being washable, but that doesn't prevent the duvets from slipping onto the floor. DEFINITELY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT - Extremely poor customer service considering my order value was nearly £500 - I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.
