Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company! Don’t think they grasp the concept of what the words customer and service when put together even mean! Placed an order which was delivered and I emailed them on the day it was when I opened the packaged and informed them of an issue. The item was delivered on 15 August and I’m still no further forwards! They were quick enough to have my first review removed from here though (can’t respond to an email in 2 weeks but dispute negative reviews within hours - definitely tells you they’re not a company to waste your money with - I reckon they’ve got someone in full time employment disputing bad reviews and getting them removed!) the reason they disputed the review was I had stated the first name of the person I’d been dealing with…and apparently this is “personal information” by trustpilots standards🤣🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 anyway might as well go again and not be so ranty this time! They listed 1 Vshaped pillow for sale on the website…I ordered 2, however they only had one style available at the time in a vshaped pillow…and boasted in the listing about the clusterball filling they use and the thread count of the pillow cover. My package contained 2 different pillows! I emailed and was told they would need to check with dispatch, when they responded they told me they no longer sell the pillow I ordered - they still had the item I ordered listed on their website…they read my email stating this and didn’t respond but did change the listing within an hour! I queried why I was not contacted and informed that they could not fulfil my order rather than being sent an item I had not ordered which was significantly different from the description (and looked awful quality but was the same price!) this question has to date…been ignored! I received a response ignoring every question I have raised, providing no details of how they would sort it out stating I could return the item. I disputed this and criticised the service and stated I would not be paying for a return of an item which should not have been sent out in the first place as it was not what was ordered. I was then ignored for over a week (it seems to be their tactic reading other reviews - they have referenced the item being used several times but have provided no details of what arrangements have been made to collect it, I can see from other posts what they do in these cases is refuse refunds and claim the products have been used!🙄🤣) when I was finally responded to they have queried if the item has been used but yet again taken no ownership of having caused the problem by shipping an incorrect item in the first place and no details of how they plan to resolve the issue! No answers to a single question I have posed have been provided, no manager/complaint process details as requested have been supplied, no return collection for the item has been arranged, no apology for sending the wrong item either…and all because I criticised the customer service…don’t think that was wrong on the basis of my experience…I think I was actually very restrained…

Edit added after “response” from Bedlinen direct…despite the very quick response to my review on here, I have still not had a direct response to my email sent 2 weeks ago or the email chasing a response to that email which was sent prior to leaving this review asking the same questions…what arrangements for collection have you actually made as I have not been informed of them at all…how do you expect to collect t the item without giving me any details of what I need to do?!🤯 How you can call that professional I have no idea?!🤯 I understand that the manufacturer provided you with the incorrect item but a professional company would have noticed and informed the customer rather than just shipping an item they did not order…did no one in your dispatch team notice they put 2 different pillows in a bag when the invoice was for 2 of the same item? The packaging on the items is not even the same…all your comment does is clarify that the points made in my review were all correct…I can post redacted screenshots removing personal details if needed showing clearly that your response is a work of fiction…

We are really sorry that you felt you had to leave us this review.
The pillows had been changed to the newer fillings by the manufacturer, and they ran out of the original ones, however didn’t inform us and sent the other by mistake, a genuine error for which, as stated, if the pillow had not been used, we would collect it free of charge and refund it.
It is a very rare occurrence for this to happen but when it does we would (and did) always offer to collect the item and provide a refund.
Our communication has remained professional and you were in communication with a senior company member.
We are always committed to putting things right should anything misfire.
We have noted other reviews that you have chosen to publish and sadly we feel that anything we tried to do to get this resolved or you would have been futile.

Compliments from the Mediterranean

I live in the Mediterranean and had occasion to order some bedlinen I needed that I’ve been unable to find here of a good quality. I was most impressed with the help and patience of the gentleman I exchanged emails with during my online search.
My order was beautifully packed and sent off as soon as my bank transfer arrived in their account. Within eight days I received my parcel with no problem after paying customs duties on it!
I thoroughly recommend Bedlinen Direct; especially for those living abroad.

Amazing communication

Amazing communication , even answering my emails over the weekend.

So thrilled with my pillow , I’ve spent a fortune on pillows over the years and this one is the best . Being able to chose between soft/medium fill type is genius

Would highly recommend - try them !

Top marks all round

I'm always wary when placing an order with an online retailer for the first time. However, in this case, my fears proved to be unfounded: first rate in customer service; promptness of delivery; packaging; and. above all, the quality of their flannelette sheets and pillow cases. I would definitely shop with them again.

Great Help Desk!

Great Help Desk! Samantha responded so promptly to queries re the missing items from my order - and arranged to have them replaced/delivered within 24 hours.
Not the first time I've purchased from Bedlinen Direct - and I'm always impressed with the quality of the items I order.

Absolutely superb pillow at a great…

Absolutely superb pillow at a great price and well packaged. It did take a little longer then given timescale to arrive and we did not get notice of its delivery, luckily we were at home. Otherwise good service and will certainly use Bedlinen direct again.

Excellent service, price and quality

Towels arrived swiftly. They were packed beautifully which was another little pleasure The towels are good quality and the bath sheet is very generously sized. I like the design which looks fresh and clean.
I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Amazing quality products & great customer service

I have bought several sets of bed linen from these guys - amazing quality - especially the 400 count sets. They wash brilliantly and look fantastic. Also amazing customer service - I managed to get my own post code wrong - Sam sent out replacements at no extra shipping cost the same day. Delivery is super fast (when you get the address right!!) highly recommend this company having previously been a staunch White Company / Rise&Fall fan. No more!!

Great bedding and service

I recently purchased some Coolmax bedding. I'd recommend it to anyone who struggles to sleep when it's warm. It was delivered quicker than expected which was great as the weather has been humid.

Coolmax Matress Protector

I ordered a Coolmax mattress protector for over £90. What turned up was a cheap light generic Ebay protector. Tried to return it, refused. No customer care & poor quality over priced goods. Think carefully before ordering anything from this Company. you are unlikely to receive what you think you have ordered. I will add the conversation with customer support later which is eye opening and went straight to threatening court action

We assured you and continue to do so that the item is a genuine Coolmax item and had come directly from the manufacturer in Scotland.
Also, the item you ordered and received was a Mattress Protector, not a Mattress Topper, there is quite a difference.
We have always sold genuine products. We cannot accept Made To Order items back as stated on our website.

Not good experience so far

Not good experience so far. I ordered 400 Egyptian cotton sateen bedding and it feels very rough on the skin, very cheap, and shedding cotton everywhere, completely opposite to others from other companies. As I had opened it, I can't return.
I had also purchased a pillow that I tried to cancel a few hours after ordering, only to be told by customer service that it had already been dispatched, which would be ok except it still hasn't arrived a week later with no tracking and no dispatch email. Communication from them wasn't very pleasant and I'm still waiting on further response from them. So as things currently stand I'm extremely unhappy and say avoid at all costs. At this point I just want to cancel and get a refund

Update - just hours after posting this Bedlinen Direct tried to remove this honest review claiming 'defamatory content' nothing in this review is defamation. Thankfully Trustpilot could see there is no deformation. The whole point of a review is so people can share truthful experiences. So interesting to know Bedlinen Direct are trying to censor people's experiences...as a result I will not use this company ever again or recommend

I am very sorry that you felt you had to leave this review. We were very shocked to hear about your thoughts on the 400 thread count bedding. This issue you mention of “shedding” has never happened before, in fact, in our 20 years of business we haven’t heard of it before. It would have been ideal if you would have mentioned it to us at some point. You could have sent it back to us if it happened on opening of course.
On the Pillow delivery, we are sorry that there has been a slight delay with the courier. Sometimes these things do happen. As you know, we sent it immediately for you.
Our communication has been professional and as far as I can see you have been getting your responses to the few emails you sent.
Things sometimes can go wrong, we do our best to ensure that never happens and if it does then we are always committed to putting it right, however, its incumbent on you to tell us if something is wrong so that we can act accordingly.
