Had to contact customer service re an after sale issue, I expected being a large company likely to focus on new buisness this would be a difficult experience. Pleasantly surprised - advisors were helpful, prompt and polite.
Really happy, and will continue to use aven.

Ayvens uses halfords for MOT but the two don't communicate !
car booked in with ayvens on the phone via their call centre for 08.30 slot, advised to wait as it will be ready in an hour.
turn up at halfords to be told its booked in for 11.00 and "ayvens always do this" when asked why the 8.30 slot.
Called Ayvens to complain -they disconnect the call 5 mins into conversation.
called again to then be 'talked at' rather than listening to my complaint. Put through to complaints - 5 mins into conversation, he also disconnects the call !
appalling customer services and staff attitudes, no people skills, poor processes of communication, not interested.

Was sold an electric car and was not told before or after this on sale. Never got a full spec from sale or dealership. Awful experience when dropped off. Accused of scratching the car as turned up with glue residue all over it. Never was shown round the car. 3 failings to tell me it’s electric. 5 days of phone calls refused to accept responsibility or have the whole contract cancelled.

I had a recent query regarding my registration plate transfer which was outstanding. I called and discussed with a lady called Megan who resolved the issue that was rather complex, she maintained a high level of professionalism and extremely proactive. She ensured she communicated throughout the process and took the lead to resolve while i was on the phone and not passing this on. I was so happy she dealt with my concern and supported me through the process. Thank you Megan, you restored my faith in Ayvens following a rocky start.

Due to long lead time on new car order, staff were able to very quickly source an instock car directly from a dealership.
Impressed with efficiency of staff once phone call was made requesting if an instock car could be sourced instead of new build.

Booked a car service on the other side of the city at 8am on a bank holiday without confirming it with the garage. Arrived and the place was shut. Got passed around multiple people before they could rearrange to somewhere else. We massively overpay for the maintenance plan and it isn't even an easy process, definitely would not recommend.

Truly awful experience from Leaseplan and now carried forward to their new owners Ayvens. At the end of your leasing period they will arrange collection of the car and arrange a microscopic inspection of the car’s paintwork. My vehicle was 6 years and one month old with a book value of circa £10K taking into account the contracted mileage of 103K. Ayvens outsource the collection to British Car Auctions and their lady representative arrived 4 hours late complete with an unannounced male ‘heavy’. They proceeded to check the car under flashlight and flag up a ridiculous amount of perceived marks which I disputed when the authorised lady briefed in her findings. She admitted many ‘marks’ were not visible on her photographic evidence. No car of this age would pass the showroom type condition scrutiny the vehicle was put under but in any event carrying out such an inspection in darkness with no right to reply is a completely unfair process. The upshot is that after hearing nothing for three weeks an automated invoice is presented for £1040 two days before Xmas. This is not a one off as when I returned my previous vehicle - the exact same thing happened with them even trying to charge me for a ‘missing’ spare wheel that was in the vehicle but the inspector somehow missed. Sadly I ordered my last vehicle before this rip off practice manifested - 6 years later I’m experiencing the same extortion. The code of practice they work to will show many examples of what’s not normal wear and tear but these examples have a ridiculously lower bar in reality. Any reasonable person would accept being charged for excess wear and tear but the company are not fair with this regard and it’s obviously a way to boost profit at the expense of the consumer. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you don’t want to be ripped off when returning your vehicle.

Absolute joke of a company. Credit score in high 900s, home owner, never missed a payment for anything with history to prove, yet they wanted to see evidence of 30K+ savings over a period of 3-6 months so refused my lease. All for a car £100 LESS than I have been paying for. Complete madness. This all took 4 days as well as communication is terrible. Do yourself a favour and don't even bother.
Edit: Just to add, instantly accepted by another lease company for a more expensive vehicle, with amazing customer service. Says it all really.

I drive a van for a company. The last two requests made.
First told to be at a garage for 08,00, confirmation having been sent,
Arrived no details from Ayvens sent through.
Second confirmation of service sent through, arrived at garage, no details. Booking for 4 days later that had been cancelled.
My employer is getting very frustrated and so am I,

While our experience with the Drive Electric booking process was far from desirable, Sara Byrne went above and beyond to help us through the process. She was courteous and efficient as well as always available to answer any questions. To be honest, if not for her we would have given up and gone elsewhere.
