Top notch. Clear, transparent.

Bought a part exchange to clear honda civic on pretty low miles for the age and had a good run through of the problems and whether it was worth the risk. Damage was minimal and was in a position I couldn't afford much due to recently purchasing a new property. In spite of that mechanically Seemed to tick all boxes so I took the risk.

Replaced a wing mirror which was the obvious visible problem, very easy and cheap to replace, speaker replacement to the passenger door side, a complete spotless clean was required. Brought it to my mechanic to have a full service and to sort out any problems that's with the vehicle. All that needed replacing was the engine mount which with labour was only £160.

So I think I did alright on this. But 5 stars for being very clear and transparent. I took the risk and I think I'll have a good 3 years

We financed a VW Touareg from this dealership. To start with I would have given them a good rating for their service but as time has gone on this has dwindled to 1 star. The only positive thing I can say is Marcus was keen to help us with our problems but that was about the only good thing to note.

Upon the initial viewing, we noted a few issues with the car that we asked were fixed for when we picked the car up, one issue of which caused it to fail its initial MOT before it got handed back to us. They kept their word and sorted everything, or so we thought.

Three days in from buying the car it goes into limp mode, they recovered the car for us and had their garage 'fix' the issue. Apparently a faulty pressure differential sensor in the DPF system.

After waiting for over a week, we had to go and collect the car. We asked if it could be returned to us but we're told no. So we had to make a 260 mile round trip to go and collect the car ourselves, including taking time off work.

We took the car to our local mechanic to check the car over and confirm that this repair they said they did had actually taken place, turns out that although they did replace the sensor, the cause for the sensor failure was much more evident and stared you straight in the face when the car was put up on the ramp, a massive hole in the flexi pipe just after the DPF. Our mechanic explained why this hole caused damaged to the sensor and is the real reason the car went into limp mode and unless fixed it would happen again over time. He couldn't believe they didn't notice or acknowledge this hole when the dealership garage were diagnosing the fault initially. Our mechanic also spotted another leak on the turbo manifold and said the whole pipe system needs to be replaced ideally with genuine parts.

Back on the phone to Marcus then. I explained the problem, he apologised and asked for the photo evidence I took which I sent him via email. Marcus asked us to bring the car back for a second repair to fix this hole and the other manifold leak. So another 260 mile round trip to drop the car off, followed by another 260 mile round trip to pick it back up again nearly 2 weeks later. Whilst there they also replaced a reversing sensor and fixed a noise coming from the back wheel when the car was reversing.

We got the car back and straight to our local mechanic again, he confirmed they fixed the flex pipe by doing a chop and replace job with a new bit of pipe which he said should be OK, but he confirmed they hadn't even touched the manifold leak issue.

We are so fed up at this point, I email Marcus with the photo showing the manifold leak has still not been fixed, and this time we also contacted our car finance company and they start a complaint case against the car. I made it clear that we would not be taking the car back to the dealership for a third time for this repair, it's alot of miles added onto our car and it's stressful trying to find the time and someone else to give us lifts there and back.

Marcus calls me nearly 2 weeks after we logged the complaint stating he wants to help and get the car fixed, I told him we are now only going to deal with the finance company.

The finance company sent out an independent car inspection company who made a report and logged a few other issues they found and deemed that the car should not be driven because the manifold leak was now allowing exhaust fumes to enter the cabin of the car. Whilst waiting for this report to be published to us, our car also develops a coolant leak and more seriously one of the rear parking brakes failed which left the car completely immobile and we have been unable to drive it since. That was 4 weeks ago.

The quote we received to fix everything including needing 2 new back tyres which were excessively worn on the inner edges and three new tyre pressure valves, it came in at nearly £3000 with VAT.

We decided to reject the car which has now been upheld by the finance company. We've only had the car 6 months. Autotrade southwest throughout the complaint case were completely ignorant, ignoring calls and emails from both the finance company and the broker, joke's on them though because now the car will go to auction, any losses made will be charged back to the dealership and if they don't pay it the finance company will take them to court.

We now have a brand new car on lease which in hindsight we wish we had done in the first place.

Also, when we got the car they said they would sort the V5 transfer of ownership for us, we waited nearly 8 weeks and nothing had been done so we ended up having to do it ourselves.

We will never use Autotrade Southwest again

Complete crooks promise everything give you nothing avoid like the plague my car is going to be checked for m o t as i dont trust anything these people say or do

Very odd experience. Headliner, the warranty is worthless.

Staff were friendly (Although on collection day he didn't really seem interested as it wasn't his sale). Several problems occurred with the car after purchase which were minor. Sorted these myself. Then comes the big problem. Thermostat housing was leaky since purchase. Contacted their "Warranty" company (Blackstar) with the bill who refused to pay it. Apparently the warranty is there silver package which doesn't fix something like a thermostat! Tried to contact them twice with no reply.

Shame because the car is sort of as advertised.

The 2 stars are for the pick from the train station.

Forgot to mention I was supposed to pick the car up a week earlier but I got a call to say there was something wrong with the IDrive screen. When calling no one knew anything about this issue. When picking up the car no one knew anything about it.. Still don't know what the issue was.

Bullies and liars.

Sell unprepared cars. Make you wait, damage your vehicle to reduce px price. Take months to repair anything they agree and will damage car further when in their car out of sheer spite. Will ignore calls and emails and block you when you keep making contact. All reviews are fake they pay someone to get good reviews up. Cars are not roadworthy and the MOTs they do are fake and not undertaken and the cars are usually unroadworthy as would fail the MoT if genuinely completed. Stay away
