Accuvision Review

I was initially told by my optician that my eyes were untreatable. They said there wasn’t much they could do for me, and I’d have to stick with my existing glasses prescription. Despite explaining that I was struggling with driving at night, I was essentially dismissed and told to see a doctor about my high cholesterol. It felt like there was no hope, and I was left believing my eyesight was in a bad way with no way forward.

I then visited Optical Express, but again, I was told there was nothing they could do for me due to my age and prescription.

Thankfully, third time lucky, I decided to contact Accuvision. From the outset, they carried out a range of tests far beyond what an optician can offer. They quickly identified the issue with my eyes and, even better, they were able to treat it. Thanks to Accuvision, my eyesight has been restored to a level I hadn’t experienced in years.

The initial consultation was amazing – everything was explained to me professionally and with great care. The procedure itself was handled with such attention and care that it put me completely at ease. Now, my eyesight is almost fully restored, and I couldn’t be happier.

I wholeheartedly recommend Acuvision for any eye-related concerns. A special thanks to Anthony and Mr. Kalogonus, who looked after me throughout the process. Their professionalism and dedication truly made a difference. Accuvision has been a life-changing experience for me.

My cataract operation was carried out by a brilliant surgeon, Prof. William Ayliffe. From the inicial consultation to the post. op. after care he treated me with kindness and consideration and patiently explained to me what the procedure would involve. The operation has been a great success and I now enjoy perfect vision. Need I say more, other than that no amount of thanks to this brilliant surgeon, who is also a very, very nice man,will ever suffice.
I owe a special mention to Vicash Patel, the Optometrist who, both pre and post op., dealt with me kindly and very patiently answered all my questions and reassured me every step of the way. Thank you Vic.
It is very obvious that Prof. Ayliffe is surrounded by a professional and supportive team and this inspires both confidence and trust in the patient.
I came to Prof. Ayliffe on the recommendation of a long standing friend, Takis P. Kalognomas, himself an ocular consultant, so obviously this inspired confidence. He assured me that I would be in good hands; I could not have been in better hands.
Based on my own experience I have no hesitation in turn to recommend Prof. Ayliffe and his team.

Visited the location in Matthews NC at The Galleria Aug 13, 2024. Despite the bad reviews, I figured well 'give em' a shot' they can't be that bad all of the time'. Well that was MY BAD! They are worse! I have not heard nor can I reach anyone EVER for my glasses. However, to be fair, let me qualify that the optometrist, the doctor, was very thorough. The service though...! I was told my glasses would be available in about 2 weeks. I live around the corner, often walking over on my walks at least 3X/wk. Every time I call or ask, the glasses vendor right next to them ( a separate group that is very nice ), I get a different set of hours, no one is available when the hours are posted, nothing. Mind you, payment for the exam and glasses was submitted within a week of my visit. I have had no response to my calls nor visits. Now I hear they will be closing this location next week, 11/12/2024 for good. There is no justification for this, and so many other reviews to have this issue. This is sub-par service to say the least.

From the initial consultation (which I was very anxious about), to the post op annual check, the care, compassion and friendliness of the team was amazing. I've been a glasses / contact lense wearer for over 30 years and having the surgery had been the best thing I've ever done - I just wish I'd done it sooner. Mary, Shiloma, Taki and Vikash (plus the rest of the team) - thank you so much for your patience, your care and for giving me back my vision! I would highly recommend Accuvision!

Superb service at every step of the way! A colleague recommended AccuVision, saying it had completely changed her life. I had been nervous to get laser surgery to correct my vision, but I finally took the plunge. I was greeted with warmth and care and taken through an incredibly careful and thorough process of checking every aspect of my eyes with the lovely Vic. Everyone on the team clearly explained each step and process and put me at ease. Even on the day of the surgery, the team supported me the whole time - I even had a comforting hand to hold during the (incredibly quick) surgery!
You really can see the next day - it was shocking and beautiful and I was so so grateful!
I had to go back to have the flap corrected, because the team would settle for nothing but perfection for my eyes. All went well and I my eyes have never felt so good!

Today I want to share with you about the most wonderful thing that happened in my life.
After 8 years of wearing glasses every day, I can even say that I was dependent on them, I couldn't even go to a swimming pool without them, I met this wonderful team ready to change my life. The whole process took very little time, they are also active, answering any question related to the surgery and supporting me.
After the consultation I had, I found out that I am eligible for laser surgery, more precisely for myopia. When I was told that it takes around 15 minutes, and that's because we need to prepare in advance, i.e. cleaning and anesthesia with drops, I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it with my own eyes :)
You don't feel anything at all, the doctors are so nice, they give you total confidence and peace where you can't be scared by anything.
When I was told that from that moment on I wouldn't wear glasses anymore, I didn't believe it! Until I left the surgery room without glasses and since then 3 beautiful months have passed in which I can enjoy my sight without glasses. An easy recovery where you don't even mention that you had a surgical intervention, I never had any problems, they offered me the drops included in the surgery money including the consultations. A very good and accessible price if you want to enjoy the summer with some sunglasses or to go to a swimming pool and even be much more relaxed, because it is a discomfort. I can only say this, I would always choose them for their dedication to their clients and of course because they changed my life.

Accuvision London were so helpful and supportive. I had been assessed at another London clinic and felt rushed and pressured to make a decision. I visited Accuvision on the advice of a friend and the service could not have been more different. I felt supported to make an informed decision at my own pace and was not pressured at any point.
On the day of surgery the team was fantastic - they were kind and put myself and my partner at ease.
The aftercare has also been great and I am really pleased with the results of my surgery.

Vik and the team were amazing. Vik went above and beyond and definitely made me feel more at ease with the procedure. The surgeon reassured me and explained what to expect throughout the surgery, this helped me feel alot more comfortable. After care was brilliant, thorough check ups from start to finish.
It shows how much they truly care about there patients. I did shop around before booking Accuvison and didn't feel pressure booking the surgery like I did else where.
I can't thank them all enough, I'm so grateful that I no longer have to wear glasses and have 20/20 vision ☺️😊 I'm ready to move to Australia and put on a pair of sunglasses without wearing contacts. Very happy thank you!!!

The service was great. I received thorough check ups prior to my cross linking procedure and afterwards. The staff are always available on the phones and are very friendly. AccuVision has a lot of flexibility regarding booking appointments.

I consulted several doctors both abroad and in the UK. Four different doctors told me I needed to make peace with my situation – that I wouldn't see any better and would need stronger glasses as I aged. One prestigious clinic in London even suggested lens replacement surgery. I couldn't accept this and started searching for solutions.

That's when I found Accuvision online and, based on their stellar reviews, decided to go for a consultation. I thought, "This is my last chance; I have nothing to lose." Upon my initial visit, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel comfortable and at ease. The thorough examination and detailed explanations provided by the optometrists helped me understand my condition, Shalona Pillay-the kindest person, who told me there was hope and that they could help me. I couldn't believe it and started crying right there in the clinic.
They patiently answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had about the procedure.

My journey began exactly one year ago with a prescription of +4.25 in my right eye and +4.50 in my left eye, along with amblyopia in the left eye. On the 7th of July 2023, I had the surgery (Lasik)with Dr. Panagiotis Kalognomas, who is undoubtedly the best doctor on the planet.
The day of the surgery was approached with a blend of professionalism and empathy. The procedure itself was quick, thanks to their expertise and advanced technology. I was amazed at how seamless the entire process was.

Post-surgery care was equally impressive. The team provided clear instructions and were available for any follow-up questions or concerns. My recovery was smooth, and I noticed significant improvement in my vision almost immediately.

Throughout my visits, I also made friends with the receptionist, Mery, whose warmth and friendliness made each visit enjoyable. I am deeply grateful to future doctor Johann Panthakey and all the staff at Accuvision for their support and kindness throughout my journey.
Special gratitude goes to the beautiful being who is the owner of the clinic Mr Daryus, whom I met today – your vision and dedication have truly transformed my life.

The team lived up to my expectations and beyond. They all truly care about patients and love what they do.
The procedure corrected all my long-sightedness, and I am now independent of glasses for both reading and distance vision. Even my lazy eye, which had always been a significant issue, has improved remarkably. It's incredible to see the progress – you can hardly tell it was ever there. The transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. I can see clearly without glasses for the first time in my life, and it has boosted my confidence tremendously.

Two months since the surgery I am really happy with the outcome. This was due to the care, empathy and professionalism of all the staff at Solihull and Wetherby.

From start to finish the team at Accuvision have been excellent. Vik who first saw me was polite helpful and made me relax about the surgery. In the surgery everyone is friendly and it's done professionally and quick with lots of support whilst sat in the waiting room.

The follow up appointment put me at ease, i really felt looked after with small things such as free drops given without hesitation or any request for further payment.

I couldn't recommend them higher and have since referred them to friends and family who are keen to get their eyes lasered.
