AccuVision - The Eye Clinic Recensioni 

I am now 2 months post-procedure and the team at AccuVision have been great all the way through. They have been informative and supportive, allowing me to make the right decision to go ahead with the treatment. 2 months on and I can see clearly without glasses or contact lenses for the first time ever!

I came for my consultation 2 weeks prior to surgery where detailed tests were ran to see if I was suitable for the procedure, and thankfully I was. Vik explained how everything works and answered any questions I had, also telling me not to rush into a decision and call back when I’ve made a choice. I decided to go ahead with the surgery, and when I was booked in, I was sent further details about what the day of surgery looks like, and what the aftercare process would look like. I also had a call 24 hours before surgery just to ask any last questions I had and to outline what to expect tomorrow. Upon arrival in clinic on the day, the team made me feel welcome immediately and gave some time to settle before going to the operating room. Once there, they performed LASIK on each of my eyes, which was a slightly strange feeling but completely painless, also talking me through what was happening very step of the way. From there, the team gave me a few minutes to relax before explaining what to do for the next 24 hours in order to start recovering. As I’m typing this, I have just had my follow up and my vision is already so much better, and this will continue to improve as my eyes heal over the coming weeks. After care is also covered in the cost of surgery for a year after surgery, so the team are committed to helping you recover as quick and as well as you possibly can.

Overall, from start to finish Vik and the team have been great at putting my mind at ease, extremely knowledgable and allowed me to do everything at my own pace with no pressure. Couldn’t recommend Accuvision highly enough.

Natalia and all the team at the Wetherby Clinic of AccuVision were amazing at every stage of my LASIK treatment! They answered every possible question and guided me through the whole experience from the initial online consultation, during the surgery itself (both eyes) and on to aftercare, providing great care, empathy, professionalism and reassurance throughout.

Despite having a pretty complicated prescription in both eyes plus an astigmatism, the surgery has achieved such clear distance vision and has even improved my reading vision - I don't need glasses for driving or using the computer anymore.

My life has been transformed and I wish I had done it years ago, I used to avoid crowds and going to shops because I couldn't wear distance glasses or varifocals for walking around but now have no issues and feel so much more confident as a result.

Before deciding on AccuVision for my treatment, I had consultations with a number of laser surgery providers but none were as approachable or put me at ease as much as the team at AccuVision, I am extremely grateful for their skill and care.

Background
In early 2018, I noticed subtle changes in my left eye. I was constantly cleaning my glasses, fine visual detail was diminishing, and I was having headaches after looking at any screen. I thought I had a change in my prescription; therefore, I visited my optometrist. After mentioning my symptoms and the optometrist failing to correct my vision, they investigated for other causes and noticed a change in the shape of my cornea. By March 2018, I was referred to the NHS ophthalmology department, where I was formerly diagnosed with keratoconus, and began trialling hard lenses to correct the vision in my left eye. It became apparent within the first few months that my disease was progressing rapidly; therefore, I was put on the waiting list for crosslinking eye surgery for my left eye. The NHS waiting list for several years, so I looked into private options and found Accuvision in late Autumn 2018.

How Accuvision have helped
Once at Accusvision, I was seen within the week, and the scans at their practice in Parsons Green confirmed the diagnosis of keratoconus in my left eye and revealed a new diagnosis of early keratoconus in my right eye. With the ophthalmologists at Accuvision, we decided to do bilateral crosslinking, scheduled a few weeks after my initial appointment with Accuvision. Everything leading up to the surgery and after was amazing. I felt supported and heard by everyone at Accuvision. The procedure was explained clearly, and the aftercare was laid out so I knew what to expect. The surgery itself was over in the blink of an eye, and for the few weeks after the surgery, I had access to the ophthalmologists any time of day and night, and that was a huge reassurance to me. After recovering from the surgery, we began working to correct my vision on my newly strengthed cornea. This involved trialling every type of contact lens and trying different lenses for my glasses. The team at Accuvision persevered with me as it took me several months to find a solution that suited me. They personalised every aspect of my care so that I achieved the best vision possible with my condition. I have been able to achieve 20/20 vision in my right eye, which I have maintained. With my left eye, which has progressed further, I have a level of vision that allows me to carry on with my daily life and work.

If it weren’t for the hard work of everyone at Accuvision, I wouldn’t have found out that my right eye was also affected by this disease and would have a far worse quality of life due to reduced vision.

Since my initial diagnosis, I have been followed up regularly and have had to have a second surgery for my left eye due to further progression. This was identified by the ophthalmologists at Accuvision before any significant changes in my vision.

Fantastic experience from start to finish from initial enquiry through to being discharged post surgery. No hard sell and blown away by the results. Anthony and team at Solihull were fantastic and made me feel at ease throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The experience was incredibly professional and reassuring. After going to another clinic offering LASIK which tried to 'hard sell' me the procedure it was a welcome change to be talked through the procedure with no pressure to sign up.

The whole team were very kind and welcoming, and I'm happy to say I've practically forgotten that I used to even wear glasses!

Overall a great clinic with tremendous staff operating in an extremely professional manner.

Just have had corrective surgery on my right eye from accuvision in Fulham amd I have to say the whole experience was fantastic. From initial consultation right thru til today the first check up after my surgery yesterday. The staff were magic completely putting me at ease and helping me through the lot. Im now day one writing this review on my phone without glasses 😀😀and lastly for anyone thinking of this but worried about the surgery dont be it is completely painless and so quick you dont have time to worry

The service is absolutely amazing, pre and post surgery. I would recommend AccuVision to everyone and anyone who is interested in getting these procedures done. The health of my eyes is their top priority

I have been under the care of Shalona and it has been a wonderful experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and did such a thorough eye exam that thankfully I am no longer wearing glasses that are too strong for me. I also am grateful for her holistic approach which is what I was after and believe is working for my eye issues. I feel very blessed to have found Accuvision and especially Shalona.

Had an amazing experience with Accuvision from start to finish. From the first consultation, I was treated like family and my mind was put at ease. My prescription was -3.5 and -2.75 and the price was much better than some of the other places I was quoted. They didn't upsell me anything and gave me the best for my eyes. The procedure itself was only 10 minutes - Vik, Daryus and the whole team were great! After care has also been great. I now have 20/20 vision with no need for additional correction, contacts or glasses. Would highly recommend anyone looking to get LASIK.

My wife did their most advanced non invasive laser eye surgery there around 2021. Staff was exceptional and the results even better! she went from wearing glasses of -10 to 0!!!! and its been 2 years and everything is the same. Exceptional results so i cant complain.

Even though everything is better than expected, these types of procedures come with lifetime considerations. She is sensitive to light and has to wear sunglasses when its very sunny but says she would do it again 10 out of 10 times, so this is a little tip for anyone thinking about doing it.

To conclude, based on my experience, if I had to do anything mildly important with eyes, these are the guys I would go to again and again.

From my first contact with Accuvision I was impressed by their down to earth honesty. This led from a telephone assessment to a full eye examination and then to the surgery. They delivered everything I had hoped for and did it with a friendly reassuring manner. I had been a spectacle wearer for around fifteen years to correct my near vision however my distance vision was also begin to deteriorate. The surgery corrected both with a mono blended treatment. I now live day to day spectacle free. The surgery itself is a strange experience. Not painful but at the same time not a pleasure either. Either way it’s not a problem as it only lasts around ten seconds. Over all I only have one regret. I didn’t go to them sooner.

I was shortsighted and I always wanted to be able to see under water without getting prescription goggles which were not ideal.

I was nervous about getting the surgery but was calmed by the knowledge, skill and patience they staff had with me during the initial examinations all the way to the surgery. I was especially impressed by the insights provided by Natalia. All the information is always given including the possible deterioration for your vision after the surgery and ample of time is provided for you to make a decision after the initial appointment without the pressure to decide immediately.

The after care after the surgery is amazing and you will feel you are in safe hands.

I highly recommend Accuvision it's has been a great experience and I am happy to report I now longer need prescription goggles to be underwater which is a massive win.

I was shortsighted before and struggled wearing glasses all the time and was not a fan of contacts. I had been thinking of laser eye surgery for a while but I was scared and nervous about the surgery. A friend recommended Accuvision and from the first consultation via WhatsApp I straight away had a good feeling, Vic and the rest of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Being an overthinker and analysing every detail I asked a lot of question but the optometrist was very understanding, knowledgeable and explained everything. The face to face consultation was explained well and I was given the option to come back with a friend if I was still unsure or had any further queries. My best option was to go for mono vision and I opted to try contacts before going ahead with surgery. The staff were patient and they made me feel at ease until I was ready to make a decision.
Scheduling my surgery was very easy and the actual procedure was not at all painful. Just me being nervous and overthinking but the staff were amazing putting me at ease. Post operation care was great and I was able to see first thing in the morning without any glasses which was life changing. It’s been now 7 months since I had surgery.

Almost 4 week post surgery and things couldn't have gone any better.

From the first appointment with Natalia, through to the surgery itself and post surgery check ups, the team couldn't have done more to assist & reassure. I'm squeamish around anything to do with eye surgery (I asked the surgeon to tell me nothing about the procedure beforehand and to just get it done) but as per what I was told at every stage, the procedure was completely painless. Post surgery I could see almost immediately and within a few days my vision was back to seeing in HD, which after 20yrs of wearing contact lenses was a revelation. My prescription was -7.00 so I was sceptical as to the level of success the surgery would achieve but I can honestly say it was absolutely worth every penny.

I see people complaining in the bad reviews about the £150 deposit required to book an initial examination, but those reviews fail to mention that fee is completely refundable if you aren't a valid candidate for surgery (understandable to stop the tyre-kickers enquiring).

I can't speak highly enough of the Accuvision team and have recommended them to anyone who asks where I get it done.

I am now 3 months post-surgery following my LASIK treatment at Accuvision in Wetherby. I absolutely could not fault it.

I came to Accuvision for a consultation in January after hearing good reviews and recommendations online, more for the London clinic but I thought since they had one close by me I'd give them a go. Additionally, I had another consultation at a larger, more "high street" clinic. There was no doubt in my mind that I preferred Accuvision. What I really loved was the more "family" feel - I felt really well looked after and like they genuinely cared about me, not just about getting another number to add to their success rate.

My prescription was one that is generally considered complex/advanced. I was roughly -5.50 in both eyes, with astigmatism in both as well. Accuvision corrected them perfectly, and three months on I have absolutely no side effects. It's honestly like magic, I could not recommend them enough.

Amazing and attentive staff, with fully trained staff that have all the answers. A quick procedure, I felt no pain. The vision correction has changed my life, so much easier without the faff of lenses or glasses.
