I have two different shopping carts…

I have two different shopping carts with 3D for 3 years now. Before I purchased them, I sampled competing platforms. The 3D was far superior in my opinion. I rarely have had to call technical support but on the occasions that I did, I had no or little waiting and the problem was solved rapidly. I highly recommend 3D.

I have enjoyed using 3dcart

I have enjoyed using 3dcart, the basic stuff is pretty easy and there is a lot that the system can do but does require a lot of learning, but if you have money and don't want to do the learning they have service to do if for you as well. I would say I have been using 3d for a long time and I am still learning about what I can and can't do. service is always quick and generally good.

Pretty easy to set up, customizing takes some learning

Pretty easy to set up, but customizing takes some time to learn. Customer support is helpful regarding all our problems so far. The only downside was the initial sales call. I am based in Taiwan, and I had to accommodate their working hours. In my experience, usually the sales agent accommodates the customer. So I had to take the call at 10 pm, which wasn't ideal.

After being with another hosting…

After being with another hosting service for 10 years I had to leave as quickly as possible!! In 2013 they changed to Magento for their stores. It is very complicated to use. I did learn to use it but they now do not provide tech support. I searched for a new company and am happy to have found 3d Cart. I have set up my store with very few problems. I have found tech support to be very helpful. I have no complaints!!

Most of what you need in a reasonable package

3DCart offers the functionality I need with good (though maybe not excellent) starting templates. All web resources are available for editing/customizing which is great, though it can be somewhat difficult to figure your way through everything to make good edits. The major things that's missing is a built in test site or sandbox of some sort to try out changes before taking them live. You're required to have an entirely additional site (that you also have to pay for) in order to do that. Overall good, though.

We just started with these guys. Did the trial a couple of times before hand. Great support. Everything really looks good. Cant wait to get our site finished. Everything you need for the price. I have been studying carts for over 4 years and they are my choice. I did sign up with a couple of others, but was not impressed. 3dcart is the way to go. Thanks, Lydia Bell

3DCart; professional but pricey

3DCart is quite professional - however in order to obtain the professional feel that you want from your website, you need to purchase additional add-ons on top of the monthly/yearly fee. Their customer service is good depending on the representative you get, there were only a few cases where I had to recall them on another day to get a different representative to help me on a situation the previous couldn't figure out, but all in all, 3DCart gives you a lot of options that can make your ecommerce look amazing IF you have the money to spare. Granted, if you're good at coding html this service will give you more freedom since you can freely edit the codings for the templates they give you.

3DCart only lacks in one area

3DCart only lacks in one area - Online QuickBooks. Without online QuickBooks, the online stores have to do twice the work recording sales. The larger the online stores grow, the more difficult it is to keep up with bookkeeping and reporting. 3DCart must do this for their customers. Other Shopping Cart companies include the Online QuickBooks with the monthly service with no extra charge.

Overall, I'm happy with the product and service...

I think it's a good platform from a functional and easy of use perspective. There are some things that could be streamlined but overall I've been happy, and I knew nothing about website/storefront design. I've been able to manage my site without much help. The support team has always been responsive and helpful too.

Useless stuff!

3dcartadmin is easy to use if u know wht ur doing price is also good but don’t ask for help from the team at 3dcart I hv set up a few websites with them and every time u call them seriously they could never help out! The are not at all knowledgeable they call themselves “developers” but I swear with a lot of online help I fixed some technical issues myself, even tho I called them and I stay on the phone with them for hours and they just repeating themselves because they just don’t know wht the hell is going on. Save time and google search urself if u hv some technical issues! They won’t help! Emailing them is an other joke! They write bk after a few days with wht U already done!

I've been with 3dCart for almost 6 years…

I've been with 3dCart for almost 6 years. In the beginning, 3dCart was great; I couldn't have been more pleased. Everything was top notch! Over the years, I've seen the quality and support dimish. I've been having more and more issues with fewer resolutions and issues arising that shouldn't be problems at all. It's to the point where I'm considering other cart options. I'm disappointed in the "loss" of overall excellence that was 3dCart.

For the most part I’ve been satisfied…

For the most part I’ve been satisfied with 3dcart I’ve had issues with tech support, if I understood “tech talk” I would be able to fix any issues, since I don’t I do get tired of tech support sounding put out when I ask them to explain it in simple English. Although recently I spoke to a young woman who was able to fix my issues with shipping in about 15 minutes. I was shocked and asked her if she had a direct line for when I have problems that I could just call her and get it fixed the first time and without any condescending tone. She was the best tech support person I’ve spoken too in 2 years.

I have used 3DCart for several of my…

I have used 3DCart for several of my clients switching from an old system and it has been great. It is very easy to setup and get going with the great theme selection they have and documentation. Lots of helpful apps that make setup of some features very easy. Tech support is responsive and has helped out with a few minor questions we had during the setup. Since the setup, all carts have been running smoothly and we rarely encounter a problem. As a designer I have found the templates very easy to locate and customize as well. Definitely a great cart, thumbs up!

Technical Support has rarely been…

Technical Support has rarely been helpful. We infrequently contact support, but when we have, after being a customer for 15 years or so, you would think we would be given some consideration and our issues dealt with in a manner indicating that they care about our issues. We are not given such consideration. Our questions are dismissed without any real grasp of the situation. The tech support staff, or at least the ones we've spoken with, never seem to actually know how their system works, we get conflicting information and often end up having to explain to them how their system works. It is frustrating to have to test everything yourself because no one can give you a correct answer. I often ask to speak to someone else that might be more of an expert in the area and I am never allowed to speak to someone else and eventually have to come up with my own solutions. Having bad customer support interactions really colors the way one looks at the product as a whole.

ZERO stars

Zero Stars! I waited 25 minutes to talk to tech support on the phone. The next day tried to use chat to get an answer. Waited several hours and got a single reply asking if I was offering free shipping: My question: 'I needed to restrict shipping to California. I have done that however it appears I've restricted payment to California as well. How do I correct this so payment can come from any location? She didn't understand what I was asking. So I clarified 'Not free shipping. We can only ship to California. However we can accept payment from any location in the world. When i go to our store the drop down for payment only shows california.' Now I have waited ANOTHER 2 hours and am still waiting for a reply. Could not find an answer on their help search. Nothing in here is intuitive!
