So far I have received excellent support from 3dCart, and they have met all my needs to this point. As the business grows, 3dCart will be able to meet my future needs as well.

Been with them over 10 years, overall a pretty good experience

I would have to say it is average and only 3 stars only because of the time you have to spend coding or hiring someone to code the site for you. They do offer a variety of features but some require extra payment for add-ons. Definitely, different from Shopify and Woocommerce but with a lot more work. It's good for large online retail but startups would probably do better with a much easier to set up and manage eCommerce site than 3dcart. I use 3dcart for one site and Shopify for another.

Had problems at first, but sorted out in the end.
Great software, but takes time to get used to it, but if you are intending to put a web shop on the internet take a look at it first.
The price is good as well

Avoid 3dcart at all costs. No partial refund though told it could be done if they did not work, called many times about no access to site, hung up un, transferred, put on hold for hours, Really not making it up And very unhelpful support from both customer service and billing as well

I’ve had a few different websites through 3dcart in the last 10 years. They used to be top of the line compared to other e-commerce platforms. That’s no longer the case. They offer a lot of options, but nickel and dime you for many things that come standard on other platforms, like Bigcommerce and Shopify. I know how to do most coding but I gave to do too much of it to get the site to look the way I want it to. Also, every now and then my website doesn’t display properly and I have to send a support ticket to TRY to get it fixed...it may take several support tickets...and I still end up fixing it myself most of the time. This is one of the things that they nickel and dime you for...to actually speak to someone.
3dcart is ok if you want to do all of the work yourself, but for what they charge, their competition at this point us MUCH simpler to use and doesn’t waste as much of your time on your website...after all, if you have a website, presumably you have other aspects of your business that require attention, not just working on your site.

It's a little bit difficult to understand at first, but then it becomes easier, we changed to shopify since they offer more payment provider options and also the convenience to have listed all the shipping carriers with discounts.

Listen, I have a convoluted product line. I have tried several other major platforms and 3dcart is the best. They have all the options I need from tiered pricing to product options to bundles all without buying extra add-ons or taking a chunk of sales. 3dcart has all the options you need to sell online out of the box, whereas you have to pay extra on almost all it's competitors. You can use your own merchant processor. So you're only paying the monthly fee for 3dcart, not a percentage. It's actually kind of tough to compare apples to apples in the shopping cart market. But 3dcart offers so much, with just the one monthly payment. The customer service is great. I'm super happy with 3dcart. I really can't say enough good things about them.

I've been with 3D Cart for well over 10 years now. I've watched them grow from a fledgling small company to a strong contender for anything else out there. The knowledge base articles are clear, concise and complete. Features keep being added. I continue to be 100% satisfied with the software. No need to look elsewhere; 3D has it all and is very customizable, even without programming skills.

So Far been working good. Easy to set up most part with out help.

I chose 3dcart because I needed a platform that checked a few boxes - mainly that I would be given a choice of payment processors without being charged an extra transaction fee. We can't use Stripe and most platforms either limit you to Stripe or charge you extra for not using Stripe. Also we wanted saving abandoned shopping cart to be standard. So we went with 3dcart. The site works and is fully featured. BUT....customer support is awful, the user interface is slow and clunky and unintuitive, you are nickle and dimed for every small update. Support articles are outdated and inaccurate, the list goes on. I'm only sticking with it because I put so much effort into getting my site to work in the first place.

What a mistake to use 3dCart POS. Took 2 months of working on it, including dozens of calls to tech support (waiting hours on hold), dealing with people who had NO training or experience with the program, multiple conference calls with 3dCart and PayPal, unstable software, and so much more.

One big issue was also 3dCart web pages showing compatible equipment that is old and no longer available, no instructions on Ethernet vs wireless installation. Like I said, so much is wrong with this company and it's customer support.

3dcart has an amazing online team! Their online team is very communicative with the customer in order to help them with any questions they might have about how to operate the system. The software itself is full of all the necessities needed for helping your business grow.

Overall we have been pleased with 3dcart. The version upgrades have been great and we look forward to seeing more.

Items we'd like to see that we feel are a bit dates is an update to the Newsletter. It would be great if images were drag and drop with each to use input of headers, text, etc with each photo.

Another thing we would like to see is when there is a small request such as adding 1 financial field to a report to make it useful that it didn't cost $1200. I realize it takes time to develop reports as well as data validation, I myself am a report writer, but for the sake of customer satisfaction if it's an easy modification it could be worth just adding the field.

So far so good, the only thing I would recommend is to have more staff so the waiting time for support would be less. Once that you have a response from them, everything goes smooth.
The system is not very friendly, but the tech support is very helpful when you have any questions or concerns. I didn't give the 5 stars because I think that you need to update the system so it can be more friendly

What a mistake we made in selecting this platform. No support for PHP, it is extremely slow, one problem after the other and ticket after ticket after ticket and no results.
We write pages in the Portuguese language which has accents on some words and this platform won't display the pages.
Their explanation? it is because of the weird characters on the title of the pages (it could also be an apostrophe in the English language, still it won't display the page.
The people I talked to have been nice but I don't believe they know much. The platform runs on IIS, Internet Information Service, a Microsoft technology which only a few people in the world still use. Why they are still using this piece of crap server beats me. Where is Apache? and all the other Linux free web servers that WORK period.
Now I am looking for another platform and can wait till we get out of this fiasco.
I will be talking to billing for a refund, if I do not get it I will have to go the charge back route.
The other thing that blows my mind is that basic functionality like contact forms are "EXTRA".
There is the issue with their e-mail server. It is simply a joke. STAY AWAY, do not use this lousy mediocre platform. Use a Linux server, Apache or any other FREE web server. My God how sorry I am we wasted almost two months with this thing.

Reviewing 3dcart support: it was bad, now has gotten better. Not cutting edge, but very workable.

Great shopping cart

Great shopping cart. It does what we need it to do and the tech support is great. My questions are always answered and the support team is knowledgeable.

A very good product but could use some modifications in how it handles pricing and promotions. In addition, I am having to pay 1500.00 now to have my site become ADA compliant which is a little steep and which I believe should be included in the costing initially. This is a big expense when your on a tight budget.
