I was looking for a concierge service that took all stress away when it came to logistics- plus help planning a trip to Thailand & Vietnam for my daughter and me. Eva Wang did a fabulous job, always responded quickly, listened to my needs, & asked questions to help hone my interests. Tenny in Thailand was amazing, loved Puma in Chiang Mai, Peter in Hoi An, and Nam in Saigon. First class

We just finished 2 days of touring Bangkok and area with Ying. She is wonderful. She picked us up at the airport and made sure we were taken care of until she escorted us right to security when she dropped us off again. She was very good at explaining the history and culture around all the places we visited. During the trip she was very attentive and adapted seamlessly to our pace. She is funny and sweet and we wish we could have her for our entire tour with UME.

From the start, UME Travel made the whole experience as easy as possible for us. Our agent, Carrie Tang, worked with us over email for several weeks as we wanted a more tailored experience in Japan. We wanted to visit 3 cities, experience some guided tours, stay in decent hotels and minimize cost where possible. Carrie crafted an amazing itinerary at a reasonable price.

Then came the actual experience - and it was as easy as one could hope for - we were greeted by our driver at the airport, taken to our first hotel - all accommodations were booked and taken care of - we just simply showed up at the appointed time and didn't have any confusion about what to do next. My husband and I don't speak or understand Japanese aside from the very basics, so having a lot of the more nuanced items taken care of (like the Shinkansen tickets, hotels, tours) made us spend all our energy focusing on enjoying the trip and none of it worrying about what to do next.

This was our first time using UME Travel, so we weren't really sure what to expect, but after this we most assuredly will use them again. Thank you so much to Carrie and team for all the work you've done, we had a trip we won't soon forget thanks to you.

Mr Win was just the best…so thoughtful, enthusiastic and so much fun to be around. We couldn’t have asked for more. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. Excellent+++++he was our guide from February 7 through February 11.

Our guide, Mr Win, made this trip a wonderful adventure. We appreciated his knowledge of Bangkok and it's history as well as his warm and welcoming personality. He was quick to take care of any needs that we had. After visiting so many beautiful temples the past few days, our fast-paced night visit to Chinatown was the perfect way to finish our time in Bangkok. He knew exactly where to take us for delicious authentic food and even arranged an opportunity for us to prepare, with the restaurant owner, one of the dishes we ate for our meal...such fun! We would not have experienced Chinatown so much if we had gone on our own. Mr. Win's's love and expertise of photography really came through; he took so many pictures and videos of us and the places we visited during our stay and shared them with us through WhatsApp. He's a gem!

I’m very impressed at how well our trip to Thailand and Cambodia was organised
by Amber our trip coordinator from UME. Amber was easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions.
I was a little nervous before booking because I never booked with UME before. I even asked Amber to give me a call and she did. After the call and my research that showed high reviews I was more comfortable booking my family trip.

Me and my mom spent 3 full days in Bangkok. I would 100% recommend this tour company, as well as our guide (Tenny) and our driver (Mr. Audy). Tenny went above and beyond to give us the best experience! She and Mr. Audy were always on time, and Audy always offered cold water and towels. Tenny was also extremely knowledgeable about Thai history and had an answer for every question we asked. Tenny made sure to customize the experience to what we wanted. I never felt rushed, which made the experience that much better! If you want to laugh, relax, learn about Thai history, and get recommendations for the best local snacks/shopping, Tenny is the perfect guide. When we flew to our next destination, Tenny also came with us to the airport and made sure we were able to check in smoothly. 10/10 experience, exceeded expectations!

I had a great experience on my UME trip planned by Dan Li. A brilliant trip with all my bucket list items planned in. Thank you Dan, you did a great job and I truly appreciate it.

We had an amazing time in Bangkok thanks to Neem (I’m not sure how to spell her name). She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to get the real experience. We had so much fun trying delicious exotic fruits and many other foods unique to Thailand. She was always thinking ahead and things went smoothly. I really appreciated all the photos she took.She had great suggestions on things to see during our free time. She was so helpful! We will use UME Travel again.

My husband and I have just returned from an incredible two-week vacation in Thailand and Vietnam. This was a trip we had dreamed about for many years but had postponed for one reason or another—until now. When we finally decided to go, we carefully researched many tour companies, knowing we wanted a private, fully customized tour designed exactly around our interests and preferred itinerary.

From the moment we contacted UME Travel, we knew we had found the right company. We worked closely with Dan Li for several months to plan our dream trip, and he was truly exceptional. Dan patiently answered all our questions, understood exactly what we were looking for, and offered thoughtful suggestions that enhanced our plans. As we changed our minds (more than once!) and adjusted our itinerary, Dan never wavered—he revised every detail seamlessly and remained supportive, responsive, and always available. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process.

Dan arranged all our airport transfers, daily transportation, detailed itineraries, and provided us with outstanding local guides and reliable drivers in every city. We truly felt like royalty for the entire two weeks.

In Bangkok, our guide Mayuree was absolutely fabulous. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease and well cared for. She was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about giving us a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Mayuree arrived at our hotel promptly each morning and spent every day ensuring that our experiences exceeded expectations. She was kind, considerate, and a joy to be with—we felt so fortunate to have her throughout our stay.

Next, we flew to Chiang Mai, where we were greeted by our wonderful guide Puma. Puma was the sweetest—adorable, fun, and full of energy. We had an absolute blast with her visiting the elephant sanctuary, meeting local tribes, and exploring bustling markets, where she purchased exotic local treats for us to taste. We learned so much not only about Thai history and culture, but also about Puma’s own life in Chiang Mai, which we found fascinating. Saying goodbye after three days was genuinely difficult—I still miss her!

Both Mayuree and Puma went above and beyond, always insisting on taking photos of us in the perfect spots and encouraging us to see just a bit more, even when we were tired. Their enthusiasm never faded.

In Vietnam, we were equally impressed with our guides Bin and Li, who taught us so much about the history and culture of their beautiful country.

We truly cannot say enough about every aspect of this trip and how flawlessly all the details came together. Thank you to UME Travel, Dan Li, and all of our incredible guides for making our bucket-list dreams come true. Who knows—perhaps we will meet again next year!

Our guide Maam was fantastic. She was knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the two days we spent with her very much.

We had an amazing trip to Beijing and Seoul! Our guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. I highly recommend UME travel!

Amber with UME was great able to make a customized tailored private tour for my family and I with young toddler and accommodated all of our request . She even put in a bonus tea ceremony which was lovely . In addition the trip was exactly as stated and I did have a family emergency arise where I needed to immediately fly back to the states , for a loss and she accmodate those requests in an emergency situation . Highly recommend and I myself will utilize UME again and hope to work with Amber again to help plan our next trip in the future .

Carrie from Ume helped us plan a wonderful trip for a family of 4. With all the questions and discussions in the planning stages to questions while traveling, Carrie was always prompt and clear. We had airport and train transfers, and private tours arranged in all these cities - Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima with stops at Mt. Fuji and Nara along the way. Everything went smoothly.

We are a family of 4 with grown children. We all agreed the UME travel guides were kind, flexible and knowledgeable about each destination. The highlight of our 10 day trip in Japan was staying at an onsen and discovering the areas surrounding Mt Fuji.
