THIS IS A SCAM

I booked a flight to America for this Thursday and when I booked it it declined the booking and a person kept calling me to tell me that the booking needed to be transferred to another date. I received an email about the extra payment that needed to be done. I went into the site reviews and saw that most of the people that reviewed has negative feedback so that I called the airline that I was supposed to be booked in and checked if my flight was booked. They told me that my information was pending but no payment was done. I cannot express how frustrated and how much of a scam this site is. I spend most of my time talking to them by phone, they told me that they weren’t located in England but in India, since at the start when I talked to them they told me they were situated here in England. The worker Mason that I was speaking to which I don’t know if it’s the real name, was very rude to me as I was trying to get a redound for the non existent flight tickets. They kept saying that they can’t refound me for 3 hours straight until I insisted that they told me they are going to refound me in 24 hours. I am still waiting and this experience was disgusting, revolting and ubnoxiously rude. Not only the flight was fake but the agency as well in my opinion . I DO NOT RACOMAND AT ALL don’t use this site

AVOID

AVOID! Be careful with them. Our flight to Bali was cancelled last year in May because of Covid. Garuda Indonesia is saying that our ticket it open until 31Dec2021 but Flight Office or if you prefer Travelopedia are ignoring us and our request for a refund or at least new booking. Sent few emails, calling them every day and sending texts on their WhatsApp channel. UNPROFESSIONAL. They act like a SCAM company. They don't reply or if they pick up the phone they're saying they're still waiting for Garuda to confirm something.
Please AVOID and better pay slightly more and book your tickets directly on airlines websites.

Should say -1. Still waiting for a refund for my flights to Australia in March!! I have no idea how to get round this. I can't even get a complaint procedure out of them never mind a Managers name. Disgusted. I too have considered camping outside to get my refund. 2 grand they owe me

AVOID at all costs

AVOID at all costs. An awful company. I’ve been trying since June to get a refund for my cancelled holiday. They are aggressive, rude and unprofessional. This is the first time I have used this company I will never use again. Book with a decent organisation. Not this lot. They are the worst I have ever dealt with.

Bandits

I have just heard as trying to go through ABTA, and Arbitration, that Travelopedia are no longer members of ABTA (what a surprise!)..................Claims cant be made retrospectively, say ABTA, so they are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I will take my tent and camp at their office until I get our money. Watchdog's cameras should be there too.

Absolutely shocking customer service no one available to help and have a trip book next week and the hotel is not open and flights cancelled. Passed from pillow yo post do not book with these or Holiday Discount Centre.

I booked a cruise and hotels with this company last year. The hotel they sent me to went bankrupt 6 weeks before I arrived and they never told me. I tried to get my money back for alternative hotel accommodation I booked but they refused to pay. I took them to the Abta arbitration service where I won my case and despite this being a legally binding decision they have still refused to pay me. Abta seem totally unable to force them to pay although they are an Abta member company. They are total sharks and you should steer well clear. Disgusted with Travelopedia and also Abta.

Do Not book with them go with a reputable company

Booked a holiday to Turkey with them through Cheeky Trip. The whole holiday was a disaster from start to finish,
Hotel Horrendous
No one spoke English
Staff are paying their friends to Take people to the airport and pocketing the cash
Filthy apartment
Food awful
No reservation at Hotel
No fridge
Air con knackered
The list goes on and on. I have complained and never received a reply. They are ruthless scumbags

We booked a holiday that was cancelled due to covid. They suggested we claim on our travel insurance but we said that under the travel package regs they have to refund money in 14 days. We were told the holiday was not covered by the regs and that we would never get our money back. We contacted our bank and used chargeback and the money is back in our account. During this process they phoned twice at about at 9pm to shout and scream that they would not return the money. Overall not very impressed!

1 Star is way too good but had to tick something

After reading all the reviews on people getting their refunds back I can totally understand and I pray we will all succeed. For this company to be so unprofessional, rude and lie to their hard paying clients is beyond me, you might as well robbed us in the street!! I have caught this company out red handed but they still continue to lie. My holiday was cancelled in May, due to the Covid 19. My flights where with Easyjet, I decided last week I would contact them directly and they told me no one from Travelpedia as ever contacted them, surprise surprise. They said the company are lying, I would rather trust Easyjet, they have now requested for my flights to be refunded within 7-14 days & they have emailed Travelopedia & myself so it's proof that it's been done & Travelopedia cannot deny this. The only thing that is frustrating is that Easyjet have to refund them, who I do not trust as it was paid on their card. I also asked our famous David Smith (what a unprofessional rude man) what company was used to book my hotel, he told me Prime Travel but would not give me anymore info, as I was again going to contact them directly but cannot find a number for them and they are also worldwide. I also read on here that someone was contacting Trading & Standard agency in Slough, thank you for that info I have now done this & have had a reposnse & they are looking into this. Another thing is I requested my refund back in May, which was not done it is now September. I was then pestered with sales calls when they lifted the ban on travel in July and I did think about re-booking but then decided no to. Because of this they said in August I would have to ask for my refund again, what a joke, I argued with them but they actually do not care because all they want to do is keep your money. I really hope some of my review can be of help to someone as some of yours where to me. If you can go direct to the airline and hotel booking then please try this. I will not be giving up and will never book with this company again.

TRAVELOPEDIA do not trust this company

This company should not be allowed to trade i booked a holiday to Spain that was cancelled because of covid, i have been trying to have my money refunded without any success, my next approach is to the trading standard's in Slough this were this company trade from.
I am also putting an article on Linkin stating the director of this company should be ashamed i will be giving all the detail in my article.

They are con artists that are able to be third parties for company’s such as cheeky trips.
I would not recommend them at all they undermine you steal your money, lie to you about refunds and have the cheek to tell us about terms and conditions!

I was travelling to india via Dubai in…

I was travelling to india via Dubai in 12 march. Due to Covid 19 couldn't travel and tried to contact . Phone connections was to Call centre in India. Told they will ctc me but no phone call . Luckily I contacted Emirates and purchased another full flexible txt so I don't loose money if I want refund. I got refund of Emirates which I bought from Emirates but Travelopedia ticket money not yet received.
Emirates claims that refund is issued to agents but Travelopedia refuses that money has received.
Be careful.

Would give 0 stars if I could! Booked a holiday for mid-april, found out myself that flights had been cancelled and was informed by the company about 2 weeks later. Took months to get to speak to someone and after all of that they give a credit note and no refund. Told by a David Smith that a refund would be processed in 90 days only to receive a phone call over a month later asking to re-book a holiday. Had a 2nd phone call today asking to re-book, have told the company that I need the money due to my financial situation yet they continue to say that they "can't" process a refund as they are waiting on their supplier. Spoken to about 7 different people now who give you a bit of hope over the phone but when asked for it in writing they ask why, never booking through them again.

Do not use this company.

Received a call today, 4th July 2020 - regarding my holiday booked for 22nd April 2020. This is the first they have bothered to contact me, ignoring all emails, and calls ringing out until cancelled. They never bothered to inform me my holiday was cancelled. I asked for a refund and of course the person I spoke to couldn't (wouldn't?) process. I was then put through to a "customer service" person, whose first words were "thank you for ringing, how can I help you?" The person I spoke to was David Smith, and he was extremely rude and patronising, refusing to listen to me and let me finish a sentence. I asked to speak to his manager and he informed me he had no manager. I asked for clarification, and he said he was the most senior person in the company I then questioned that if I were to Google them I would find his name as CEO of the company and then he backtracked.

He first said he couldn't refund me because they were waiting for the refunds themselves. I said I knew that was untrue, because I had contacted both the hotel and the airline and was fully aware they had been refunded. So then he claimed that the airline had given them a voucher, not a refund. I said that was not my problem, and they were legally obliged to refund me the full amount. Eventually he agreed to process it, saying it would take 90-120 days. I asked what was the time they were legally obliged to provide me with a refund and he disconnected the call.

Booked a package holiday in August 2019 with travelopedia for January 2021 £400 deposit paid with thomas cook flights, after thomas cook went bust the month after I contacted travelopedia, I was informed that we could change flights which was £400 more plus luggage cost plus travel cost to another airport far away, plus paying to keep car for a week, i declined and asked for a refund. I was informed I could have a refund no problem but will need to claim via ATOl, claim submitted on 1st October 2019, I called ATOL claim company in January 2020 to ask what is happening with the claim as everyone else I know has received refunds by now, I was told that travelopedia need to pay the refund back and they had misinformed me. Telephone calls frequently to travelopedia still no refund as of today 22/06/20 which is absolutely appalling customer service, over 8 months on still no refund. I do have an email sent to me in February 2020 stating I will get a refund but still waiting, I will never deal with this company ever again!!!!! Please don't make the same mistake.

I booked a holiday in December 2019 to go to Venice + Rome starting 14th March. The Monday before I was due to fly out Venice went into lockdown. I phoned Travelopedia to enquire what was happening about my holiday. They told me that it was still going ahead. I informed them that Venice was in lockdown which they knew, but they kept telling me that the flight was still active so they couldn't do anything about it. Eventually after phoning them several times I received a phone from them the day before I was flying out to tell me the flight had been cancelled even though the company had cancelled flights 2 days before. I phoned them to enquire about a refund and was told that I might not get a refund, I will just have to wait and see if they get there money back from the airline and the hotels. I waited until the middle April to phone back to be told I could re-book another holiday or receive vouchers. I told them that I did not want that, I want my money back they more or less told me I had no chance. I phoned again in May and was told more or less the same. I told them by law I was entitled to a full refund. I was told to phone back in June and they might be able to something about it. I phoned back in June to be told the same that it will take time if I wanted my money back. I told them the most annoying thing about all this is they have never phoned me or email me anything about this. I am still refusing to re-book or vouchers as I would likely never use this company again.
