Travel Dept is the best way to go on a relaxing holiday and not be bothered with trying to arrange tours and where to go. Loved every minute of it.

A wide choice of locations both in Europe and further afield.

Just back from 4 night city break.
Hotel was lovely. Good range of breakfast food. Staff were friendly in reception.
Krakow easy city to navigate __ excellent and great value tram services _ machines at stops and accept card __ Over 70's go free!.
Everywhere in the city accepts card payments.
One mention __ if you want to go to Auschwitz ___ book ahead. We were there over a weekend so tickets were not available for the saturday.
The Salt Mines were fascinating.
Paulina our guide was lovely and friendly and helpful with any queries.
All in all a very nice breakaway with usual good organisation by Travel Department.

Hotels , transport , site visits all excellent. Our guide Katarina was well versed on the history of Ancient Greece. We both got a lot out of the trip .

A wonderful holiday in Norway. Our guide Vidor was excellent. He was friendly, helpful, very well organised, with a great sense of humour. The trips on the fjords and trains all went smoothly. The accommodation was lovely and we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

l found it to be a very interesting tour.Tour guide did her best the weather was not good the first few days.The trip to the Trulli houses was particularly nice starting with olive oil and finishing with wine tasting.The hotel was very good clean friendly staff, the food was ok, Breakfast was very good especially on the free days.ln general it was excellent.

Just returned from the Danube Rhapsody River Cruise. The boat, crew and food were excellent. A negative for many people were that the single beds were too small, about 2'6' and also the guided tours were too rushed, not enough time to see things. Other than that the whole experience was most enjoyable, a very slick operation but that's what you expect from Travel Department.

The organised trip to Sicily for a week was excellent. Good hotel, excellent trips, good guides (and bus driver).

My daughter and her husband who live in Ireland included us (we live in the USA) to join them in the tour called Undiscovered Italy-Highlights in Puglia at the end of May 2026. We can't say enough about our tour guide Alessandra and the local guides Angele, Domatella and Anna with sightseeing and highlights of the area. Puglia is a beautiful historical place. The local restaurants have delicious dishes and wines and the daily breakfast at the Hotel was five star with Sonia's organization with food and drinks at the buffet. Our hotel was very comfortable and clean with pleasant staff. This is our second trip using the Travel Department but not the last!!!

Beautiful country, very green not unlike home, very good day trips, excellent hotel facilities.

Guide, while doing here best, had poor English and difficult to understand. Excellent hotel except for its very poor food.

The hotel was immaculate, a wide range of facilities, excellent food and fabulous cocktails. Every trip was very well organised, the entire holiday was completely stress free with a great range of activities and trips. It is an excellent location and our trip coincided with a three day music festival in Vodice, the range and standard of music was superb. The was an extensive range of shops selling clothes, jewellery, souvenirs and artisan products. There was a wide range of bars and restaurants to choose from with multilingual, friendly and helpful staff. Overall a fantastic holiday.

I chose this holiday because of it's wonderful itinerary in one of my favourite countries. I was'nt disappointed. The hotel was ideally situated in Cannes. Lovely food, accomodation was great, -very clean and well maintained.
Our tour guide had exceptional knowledge of each place we visited both when we arrived and anything interesting or relevant en route.She was very pleasant and interesing. Making sure everyone was safe crossing busy streets and offering advice on where to visit on our free times, train/ ferry times etc.

Just returned from 7 nights holiday in the beautiful Cote d’Azure with the very well organised Travel Department. Booking was easy and straightforward online- updated with timely emails in order to check in for flights etc. Stayed in Eden Hotel, Cannes. Lovely location as central to browse the beautiful shops and a short 10 min stroll to the promenade and beach. Staff in hotel very welcoming, buffet breakfast delicious with plenty of choice , hotel spotlessly clean. Rooms very comfortable, however I would strongly suggest that a mirror is placed over the dressing table like piece of furniture - one dimly lit bathroom mirror not sufficient for customers sharing a twin room. Also, I do not agree that there should be a €20 per day fee to avail of the rooftop pool- should be part of the service.
Our tour kind Anke was absolutely wonderful-a real gem- such a lovely lady who looked after us all so well from pick up at airport until the day we departed. She was very informative- had all the history and information we needed for day trips to our various locations - and delivered it all with a sense of humour! Thankyou Anke and Travel Department for facilitating such a lovely holiday.

Bath too difficult to get into for older people plus having to pay 20re to sunbathe in hotel ridiculous. Fantastic Guide, so interesting and a bit of fun, so well organised for every trip and Anna’s knowledge was a great bonus. Lovely comfy hotel and well positioned and best of all fab brekki buffet, yummy. Such a beautiful place, wud like a few more solos but great crowd
