Great craic and we were well looked after

Very easy booking process. Holidays exactly as described. Trips are great, guides always very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and helpful. It just works and the whole experience is stress free.

Great tour just a couple of observations. Breakfast in the hotel (Nehô Suites) wasn’t up to 4* standard plus the bar in the hotel was poor.
The tour to Antibes should be swapped with the tour to Nice as Antibes is closed on a Monday.

The holiday went like clockwork. Wonderful Rhone river cruise visiting interesting places.
Amadeus is a very well run business.
Our guides were all excellent. Each day provided an interesting choice of trips.
I absolutely loved it....in fact I've booked another cruise for next year
already!

Just back from the "Little Trains of the Dolomites" trip and what an experience! The scenery was heaven on earth. This is a different experience of Italy with a fascinating mixture of Italian and Austrian culture, language and architecture. The leader and local guide were exceptional in their knowledge, care and professionalism. The hotel was quaint and beautiful in a spectacular lakeside location. What's not to love?

We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Norway. We arrived in Bergen to teeming rain, we had come prepared and had our wet gear, luckily. We spent 3 days in Bergen and our group agreed that 2 would have been plenty, Bergen is renowned for being rainy!! Our hotel in Bergen was excellent and breakfasts were also excellent. We then travelled on and spent two separate nights in 2 hotels, one which was absolutely beautiful and again beautiful breakfasts and evening meal a bit disappointing though, they were a typical tourist type meal! We had 3 evening meals included in our package and they were as I mentioned just about alright.Our trips down the Fjords were breathtaking and we had a most enjoyable coach trip to these hotels. Our lovely trip across the Country to Oslo was a delight, in a most comfortable train with a dining carriage. The hotel in Oslo was super and again wonderful selection for Breakfast. Our tour guide Vidar was excellent and could not speak more highly of him. When in Oslo, we had a day tour which was led by this wonderful young lady called Christine who absolutely delighted us with her singing as we kept begging her to sing more every time she stopped at an attraction, she made our trip that day. This is our third trip with Travel Dept and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We travelled to China with the Travel Department in September 2026. An amazing cultural experience. Fantastic hotels, food and efficient travel. We saw and did all that was offered. Our tour was made very special by our wonderful guide Jack. Jack went above and beyond expectations to make the trip so memorable for all. His knowledge of Chinese history and society and his interest, knowledge and understanding of Ireland are exceptional. Maith thú Jack. Rosaleen and Paul ( Dublin/ Donegal).

Staff great re any queries on trip before booking, very detailed info before trip and obtaining visa, from the moment I landed in Vietnam to the time I left I had the most wondeful experience of the country, authentic and huge variety of encounters, wonderful guide and exceptional accommodation

It was the group of people I met that made it great.

Everything was organised so travel was easy. The flight being in the evening was a more comfortable journey. Lake Como is a beautiful place. Our tours, hotel and guide were excellent.

Great holiday from start to finish

Very well organised trip, super guide in Salvina, she was helpful, informative and good fun.
Trips were a little long for my liking, a lot packed into the day. Good crew on the trip, lots of laughs and long stories.

On a recent trip to China with the Travel Department everything was so well organised from booking the holiday to being collected at the airport by Jack. He was a wonderful tour guide, with lots of information about the sites we visited and the history. He definitely kept us entertained. The Great Wall of China was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I possibly would have enjoyed more time in Shanghai to enjoy the city. Really enjoyed the trip with the group and all the excellent food.

I had a very enjoyable holiday The guide was very informative and helpful He went beyond the call of duty at times One instance in my case was the day trip to Jersey The trip home to me was an unavoidable glitch We organised a trip from Cherbourg to Dublin on the ferry An new enjoyable trip Life is what you make it Thanks again to everyone
