Headline: Premature pipe failure and hard-to-find leaks on a 4-year-old unit⭐⭐ (2 out of 5 Stars)I bought a Trane HVAC unit because of the brand's reputation for premium quality and reliability. Unfortunately, that has not matched my reality. Within the first four years of ownership, the system developed a slow, elusive refrigerant leak that left us without proper cooling and required multiple diagnostic visits to locate. The technician finally determined that internal unit vibrations caused a copper pipe to crack. While I understand that compressors cause vibration, a premium unit should be engineered to withstand its own internal movement. A structural pipe failure within four years points directly to a manufacturing defect, poor factory welds, or subpar quality control.Trane products are sold at a premium price, but the product quality does not match the cost. I am highly disappointed in the durability of this system and will not be purchasing another Trane product in the future.
