I bought a tool on line with the specific instructions “do not deliver this to my front veranda , and that if that was not possible then cancel my order, I was going to be hundreds of kilometres away and I didn’t want a tool sitting around in view of the street. The tool arrived in record time and despite my specific instructions, it was dropped on the veranda in view of the street. A mate walking past saw the box and rescued it. The really dopey stuff starts when I contacted Total Tools to try and work out why they can’t or will not follow simple instructions. I got a load of crap in reply from a person designated “ customer support officer”. Get serious Total Tools, you spend heaps advertising to win new customers but when you treat customers with such bloody minded indifference, no amount of advertising will change my opinion of your customer service. Late Comment : The manager from the store the item was shipped from rang me after my post and explained that there was a failure in the system in that the delivery instructions box on the automated on line form is not given to the store that actually delivers it. He was a pretty cool dude and he sounded disappointed with the system himself. At least they tried to square it all up !

Bought a Teflon liner for my mig from Joondalup T.T. store. Price on shelf $21.90. Get to desk to pay, get told price is $24.90. Mentioned shelf price. No this is the price. Bought item as I needed in a hurrry. Put in my car and went back into shop. Showed another customer service person the price on shelf. Gave me a $3 refund. Glad I didn’t buy a few items and get a few dollars extra on price which you wouldn’t notice straight away. Check the price they charge you.

I just wished I had read these reviews before placing an order with this company, which are well named and are total tools.

The communication once my order was placed was nil. At no stage was I informed that my item was out of stock, weeks later I was told my purchase was on back order and would not be available up to March 2021.

After purchasing so much on line with COVID-19, with many Companies and having received such an awesome experience, I was totally let down by this Company. Don’t go there other wise you will regret.

I placed an order for 7 items including a spanner set which was available at the time and was half price. Three items had to be ordered in, with a 3 to 5 days wait and a warning the order could take up to 4 weeks. After 5 weeks I contacted TT asking if the order could be shipped with the items they were still waiting for shipped when they received them but never received a reply. After 8 weeks I contacted TT again with a reply they would look into my order. A few days later I received a message my order had been shipped but the spanner set wasn’t in stock at my local store so a refund was made. This was a huge inconvenience to me as I had already included this purchase in my ATO BAS reporting and now I have to phone the ATO and request that form be cancelled and completed again. If they we’re going to refund an item I would have preferred to be informed and if that was the only option I would have preferred the entire order be refunded as having to wait two months for tools I need for my business is unacceptable when they could have shipped part of the order straight away. Total Tools has been a massive fail. I can’t believe they treat their customers like this.

I got a unimig viper 185 on 31 Oct 2020 then blue up power bord so 3 weeks later still no refund or swap so if anyone wants tools go to bunnings don't trust total tools if you have a business to run

Total Tools were good previously, and the products they sell like makita etc are all typically good products. However, they are a franchise that has become hard to deal with and I got caught out in their trap. I had a claim because they sold me a makita sander, and they were tardy in their support and replies, so i thought, claim via my payment method paypal, then they jumped up and down and came to my rescue , or so i thought.....Little did i know their trap was unfolding. As per paypal regulations, in order to qualify for my refund i have to ship the product back to a dodgy address in Victoria, and their address does not even have any one in attendance. So the catch is, item is returned to sender and tracking that paypal need must show receipt online via a trackable system to prove the receiver gets the goods. So at the end of the day, my claim is over, and I have the dud product in my hand with no way to compensate for this whatsoever. CAVEAT EMPTOR people, do not buy online from total tools, it could cost you $$$

Total Tools online store advertise an attachment for Karcher Pressure washers.
I purchased one online and paid for it.
Some weeks later I received a call saying they did not have the item and they would need to order it in.
(Why advertise it ready to deliver or local pickup then) ???
It's still advertised in same way.
I gave them the part number off the old one I had in my hand while speaking to them on phone at the time.
Some months later it arrived.
In the mean time I had to make other arrangements to get my work done so I located a different local walk in supplier who had them in stock.

The one from Total Tools arrived months later.
When I got around to test the Total Tools supplied one I found it didn't fit.
It was the wrong part number.
I took it to Total Tools Virginia who basically didn't care as it was a "Special Order" and beyond 30 day return anyway.

Why is it a Special Order if it's on the online shop. ???
Does the 30 day policy also apply to Total Tools delivering stock they advertise as ready. ???
I guess not... They can send it any old time this millennium , no problem...
At their discretion they have decided not to receive the item back.

They gave me the contact for Karcher, they didn't call back either.

Looking at their stock in store you'd never buy there anyway.
Lots of hooks with prices but no stock.
They have a few bottles or detergent and a couple of hoses.

HOPELESS...

So I went to a proper local outdoor power equipment retailer, and repairer who has been in business for 20 years or more.
They had all the various types in stock including the one I needed.
They were interested enough to get a light on the old one to ensure I got the right one.
My mistake of online convenience , it has been found out as rubbish.
Should have gone there in the first place.

Now I have to sell this thing on Ebay as I can't take it back.

DON'T BUY FROM TOTAL TOOLS.
