Sunday afternoon tea for two at the Bath Ivy.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were warmly welcomed. Our waiter took our order but then disappeared - he seemed to have gone off shift, but didn't tell us or the other staff. Our food arrived, but then we waited for ages for our tea (drink). Had to ask for it after about 20mins but the other waiters seemed to be irritated that we were asking them! Then had to chase for butter 3 times and it was very difficult to get anyone's attention for anything - even when trying to get the bill. Service was charged at 12.5% without an option not to pay it. It was very quiet - no excuse for poor service.
It's a shame - I went about 2 years prior and it was great - I won't go again. I also miss the leaf tea with proper strainers - this time it was teabags.

The food & cocktails at the Ivy Bournemouth could not be faulted.

Went for afternoon tea at The Ivy in Bournemouth very disappointed not what we were expecting at all. Had to ask for cutlery and plates!! For the price you pay surely these are just the basics? Food very average and over priced service not great.Dont waste your money much better places to go.

Extremely disappointed! Visited The Ivy in Bournemouth yesterday for Afternoon Tea, Service poor, food poor, definately not value for money. Plus as we all paid separately and were each expected to pay a surcharge, which we declined to do! All in all, not a great experience, most definitely did not live up the hype .

We visited the Ivy in Windsor last week, my friends who visit from abroad every year love a good afternoon tea. Unfortunately I booked the Ivy, which I will never do again. Although the staff were lovely and the decor is great, it was the worst afternoon tea we have ever had!! The cakes were stale (which I mentioned to the manager and just got a thanks for the info I will tell the kitchen), the scones were the smallest have ever seen and there were no plain ones, only ones with raisins. The sandwich ends felt like that had been cut 2 days prior and the filling was few and far between… Really not the food experience I had envisioned. The previous restaurant there did a smashing afternoon tea and I’m really sad that this was not as much of a pleasant experience as then.

It was my first and last trip to the Ivy as it has really left a bitter (better said, stale) taste in my mouth…. It’s a shame really, it would have so much potential if the food was better….

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the nice staff and the decor, the food deserves a 1 if that

We visited the Winchester branch of the Ivy for a celebratory afternoon tea yesterday. The staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was great, but the tea was average to say the least. We were given a large tea pot with only 2 Earl Grey teabags, so the tea was extremely weak. All of the sandwiches were dry, as if they’d been sat for a while. The cucumber sandwich was the best, the salmon had a strange thin, dry slice of salmon on top rather than in the middle, and the chicken roll was most odd smothered in an overpowering garlic mayonnaise. The scones were excellent, although we were given a mean amount of jam and clotted cream and had to request more. The red velvet cake was rich and artificial and the lemon poppy seed sponge was covered in a thick coat of sickly, sweet icing. All in all an expensive and disappointing tea. We would much prefer less fancy stuff and more of the traditional English tea fare!

Ivy London City- fantastic

I booked a surprise 60th birthday lunch for my husband and the food, service and overall attention to detail was excellent. As part of the booking it was a surprise that our daughters were also coming. Ivy reception staff kept the secret beautifully! My husband was delighted to have such an amazing birthday lunch and our baby grandson came too! We had very comfortable and spacious seating/ table location. Many thanks Ivy City London for such a wonderful dining experience!

After a little glitch on our first visit (teething problems) we had a lovely time at The Liverpool Ivy on Saturday. The staff were attentive, our waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food and drink was great and the ambience lovely. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

The Ivy Asia Mafair.
We went for lunch and we were extremely disappointed in almost eveyrthing about the whole experience. Firstly the service was diabolical. I had to ask 4 times over for sparkling water. After that the food was really mediocre and I think the chain has lost its essence.

Good pub-style food (at least as close as you can get to pub grub in London) for a decent price (excluding Champagne which is b overinflated price-wise). What has led to this review having 2 stars is the waiting staff - Ivy in Canary Wharf seem to have hired every person that landed at Dover who has no common sense, intelligence or basic understanding of the English language. Take 5 attempts for one waitress to get my Glenmorangie Signet order correct…

The chocolate bomb was absolutely superb!! A small can of beer to pour yourself at almost £7!! Star lost for overall cost but ALL the staff were very attentive and we received possibly the best ever service in a restaurant from Summer. Thank you Summer, really made our visit special!

I had a gift voucher given to me as a gift this year and also on in 2022. I was going to use the one in 2022 but one of my parents tragically lost there life and this has taken some getting over. My mother is 88 this year and was going to use both cards but after trying to contact the ivy to speak to someone seem a task you can’t do at the ivy. I did eventually speak to someone and they said if I used the email address they gave me I would get the card extended due to the circumstance we had encountered with my parents, the email address turned out to be in correct. I have eaten at quite a few ivys and had some great customer service but this experience was not what I expected from a high valued retail chain. Bang goes giving my mum a good experience after the bad one she had !!!! Never again Ivy

Extortionate price for very mediocre food, medium rare steak arrived well done, (refunded to be fair) boneless chicken slimey £17 for a glass of wine! Avoid if possible, there’s a Burger King around the corner!

The Ivy Liverpool. The stars are for the renovation of the building. However, the food … let’s just say there’s loads of room for improvement. All I could taste on both my starter and main was coriander which I dislike. Both dishes were bland and lukewarm warm. There are so many other nice restaurants in Liverpool that I hope the Ivy improves immensely.

Had an excellent pre theatre lunch at The Ivy Canterbury. Service was timely and first class. The lunch was two courses for under £20 each and in my opinion it was delicious. Drinks were also reasonably priced. Second time I have visited this restaurant and on both occasions a good experience.

Sahid at Chelsea Gardens offered a fantastic service

Set menu served at 2pm, soup watery, tasteless. The renowned fishcake, listed as salmon & smoked haddock had about 1 teaspoon of fish in total in a gluey texture surrounded by a brown crust. The meal was disgusting, manager offhand & quite rude. A horrible experience.

Ivy Windsor - Undercooked poorly prepared food - had to return two meals to the kitchen only one reappeared ? Really poorly managed and no real apology.
Get back to basics, pay attention and you might just about justify the over priced mediocre food.

Within days during December it became the go-to place in Liverpool - and for many good reasons.

The food, the drinks, the glorious ambience but above all that the sheer friendliness and welcome that all the staff provide.
