Had the unfortunate experience of having to claim on our policy with AA insurance. We had a leak through our ceiling and when turning the water off the stopcock sheared off and left us with no water.

Was put through to the Home Emergency team who were totally incompetent

Firstly they did not register the emergency and we only found this out when we rang to chase up the plumber after 5 hours of waiting.

Then they registered it incorrectly as a leaking tap. They told me that they had spoken to a plumber who would call that evening. No one called.

No contact. Rang the next morning. No one had instructed a plumber. Eventually they did and was sorted but in all it took 24 hours of having no water.

I would have given zero stars if I could but there was one positive. The plumber from Dyno plumbing was amazing. Once instructed was there within 30 mins and all fixed.

We will be changing our insurance at the next renewal.

Inclusive insurance, easy to understand, at what I consider to be a fair price.

This was the cheapest quote from a company I recognised on a comparison webiste. Would have preferred to purchase directly but oddly the cost via AA direct was about 15% dearer.

Friend, helpful, full explanation, looked at alternatives. Clearly explained any changes, I felt listened to. The call centre was here in the UK, not outsourced to exploit cheaper labour. That’s an investment and we appreciate paying a little more for a real service conducted by real people. And no I'm not a dinosaur, just appreciative of real service.

The service received from Rabina was first rate. All the finer points of the questions we asked were explained well.

Problem with online insurance for a brand new car as the registration was not recognised, so called the number on the webpage. The guy on the help desk was very knowledgeable & was familiar with this problem. He went through the process with me took payment & my brand new car will be insured when I pick it up from the dealership

I could actually speak to someone, still an important thing for some people, the lady was really helpful and informative I didn’t feel rushed at all

Knowledgeable and polite on the phone

I was in the process of purchasing a car insurance policy and had given my payment details and was waiting for the confirmation that it had completed when the AA app crashed. As I did not receive a confirmation, I assumed that it had not gone through. As I didn’t want to spend ages resubmitting all the information required for a policy and running the risk of it all crashing again, I went with another company. Three days later I received an email to say that my policy was operational and they had taken money from my account. I spent ages trying to cancel with links not working before finally being able to cancel. Indeed I have just received an email with a link asking me to share my experience via trustpilot only to find the link doesn’t work! I have found another way to submit this information.

Thank you AA for helping an elderly friend of mine today who suffered a pot hole tyre blow out.
She found the automated answering system a bit of a challenge but the operators were patient and helpful. Ross, the AA mechanic came and was fantastic, kind, efficient and professional. He got her a new tyre, at a good price, and she was back on the in an hour.
Excellent service.

Wasn’t the cheapest but a reputable company I’m aware of
